[Q] how to add wallpaper with stock wallpaper? - Galaxy S I9000 Themes and Apps

hi guys i just want to know how i can add custom wallpaper in a deodex jvs rom.......how i add mine with stock one......i probably search every part of my rom and didnt find stock wallpaper......any idea?

If you are looking for the stock one, you'll find it in /system/framework/framework-res.apk in the /res/drawable-hdpi folder.
If you replace that file with your own, it will be the default wallpaper when doing a factory reset or a wipe.

Questions regarding HTC Sense

In my search for the perfect RoM, testing hundreds of apks, flashable zips and so on, I have finally narrowed it down and decided to go for a sense-based RoM. That is JokerDriod 4,2.
The only problems I have with this is its theme and the lockscreen.
I've searched the forum a lot and I couldn't find annything ( that works ) to replace the JK theme with the default one, and the Lockscreen with the default one from HTC Sense.
Regarding the theme: I have replaced Rosie.apk and framework-res.apk to change the theme ( as the flashables did not work ) but the buttom part ( App Drawer, Phone, Add to Screen ) are still the same, transparent and with an ugly blue line when I press them.
As for the Lockscreen, I have found a flashable here on the forum, but it did not work...
Can anyone provide me flashable zip to completly go to stock skin ( Rosie.apk, Framework-res.apk and that other file....forgot the name ) and also with the default htc lockscreen?
Thank you very much.
Hey dude, I was once also troubled by this problem. Thanks to the great help from 3xeno, we figured out a solution. We find out that although the rosie.apk is for the bottom bar and htclockscreen.apk for lockscreen, it is the additional com.htc.resources.apk that made them transparent. So, you can replace that file of jokerdroid rom with that of original sense. (He suggested me to replace directly without unzipping the zip and I did so)
Thanks for your reply. I have managed to find it out when decompressing the rom.

[Q] Changing default locksceen wallpaper

I am trying to change the default lock screen wallpaper on my Rom. I swapped out the new wallpaper, for the old one located in: system/framework/framework-res.apk/res/hdpi and, xhdpi, but the lockscreen remains stock!?
How can I change this so the stock wallpaper for the lockscreen, is my own custom wallpaper right from the get go (after setup) ???
What ROM are you on? This would help since I know SOME ROM developers changed a setting so it doesn't pull it from the framework-res.a pk but rather a wallpaper folder instead. Pull apart the whole ROM zip file and see if there is a WALLPAPER folder. If I remember correctly in the ROM I am thinking about it will be found at /system/wallpaper and not /system/framework-res folders.
Here you can test out this VR Theme format to test. It will ONLY change the lockscreen wallpaper and the homescreen wallpaper IF you have the same file structure. If you don't it won't change anything.
If it does change them to a Dark Blue picture then you can unzip the file I am linking, and switch out WHATEVER pic/s you want. Just make sure to use roughly the same size pic and rename them to match exactly. Hope this helps. Let me know if it doesn't change anything. Link http://db.tt/MUw2Ot7m
Also like I said before it WILL depend on WHAT ROM your using and WHAT firmware.

It's in framework-res apk under default_wallpaper and default_lockscreen_wallpaper. I believe it also is in system UI if I am not mistaken. I know I had to change it in two different APK's to get to default to a certain wallpaper when installed.

[Q] [ROM]

I have got myself into developing lately, im currently stripping cm7.2 rom and of course have a few questions:
1. Is cm7.2 the best rom for performance or is there a better one?
2. Quickpic wont install with rom but after boot i can install it manually.
3. How can i remove the "haunted" options e.g. i removed boot animation ,so it loads after roughly 40 sec, but in settings there is still an option " Disable boot animation" any help?
4. Optimizing my rom. Is there a way to improve rom performance like zipaligning or something else.
5. Adding custom wallpapers
Edit: Can i remove hdpi folder since wildfire is mdpi?
Also any way of removing and ADDing startup entries?

1.Yup,cm 7.2 nightly is best rom you'll find around.
2.Quickpic needs a lib in /system/lib to work as a system app.
3.Just delete bootanimation.zip from /system/media.
4.Zipaligning helps a bit,you can add several tweaks like, crossbreeder, juwe's ram script or app, build.prop tweaks etc.
5.You can decompile framework-res.apk and add a custom wallpaper in some specific folder,e.g /framework-res/res
You cannot remove HDPI folder,it is still needed.

[Q] How to copy Stock Nexus 7 Jellybean 4.3 Livewallpapers into Custom Pac Man Rom?

Howdy.
I'm a XDA noobee so sorry if this is not the correct forum or this has been addressed already.
Have unlocked and rooted my Nexus 7 2013 and loaded a nice custom ROM (Pacman) but it only has one live wallpaper option and I want my old stock live wallpapers back not playstore ones. How would i copy the old live wallpapers out of my stock rom and apply to this new one? I tried coping live wallpaper picker.apk and livewallpaper.apk and install in system/app with Root Browser, rebooted but did not work. Tried to make sure permissions were correct. Am I missing something? Do I have to install as a App or do I have to modify the stock livepaperpicker apk or existing single live wallpaper? When tried to side install as a app was told that it failed installation .
Thanks for your assistance! I have a lot to learn!
