Phone wont stay off! I power it down and it stays off for mabey 2 mins and then it powers back up on its own! Any thoughts as to why xda world?

I think I have bricked my phone. Im pretty tech savvy I have had around 5 phones and have rooted all phones. I flashed a rom I had not seen before in rom manager. It is called minium 1.0.7. It flashed fine and I hit reboot and my phone did nothing. So I did a battery pull for about 3mins and put it back in and it wont boot at all. Is there anyway I can get it to come alive again. Thanks

Its pretty much not safe to flash stuff from rom manager anymore. Tons of stuff that isn't for our phone shows up in there now, huge problem. But more than likely you are bricked. Only hope you have is holding volume up+down at the same time, and plugging in the usb cord until the "warning" comes up. If that does not work, you have no hope. If download mode actually does come up, i will point you in the right direction to fixing your phone.

I just sent my phone back to Samsung for warranty when I bricked mine. If it wont boot at all 99.9% chance they just send you a refurb.

Bricked a previous gs2 with ROM from other gs2 forums. Sent it to Samsung and replaced under warranty free. Recently picked up this one and wishing I never sold the previous one

Just read the comments in rom manager, people tell you that some roms are listed in phone section thats not for that phone. I allways read the comments....

Try putting it in download mode by using an official LG usb cord and plugging it into a wall socket. I know the LG cords have the constant power wire switched so you might be able to do that. I have seen it done before.
Talked to my awesome tmobile friend and she has a new one coming Wed and only cost $5 to replace. Thanks guys for all your advice.

Samsung website, register the phone and information is on there. Took about 10 days or less for it to get back.

Just got my replacement in and I have noticed it doesn't have a lockscreen. I have rebooted and and turned the screen on and off. The screen turns on and without having to go thru a lockscreen.
The other thing I noticed is if my hold down my power button my phone turns off. It doesn't prompt me to put it airplane mode or anything. It doesn't even ask me if I want to shut down it just does. Can't get a custom rom on thus fast enough.

Ok, it finally booted and it works but only charges with the computer when i connect it to the wall charger it turns off... What can i do?

I will try it later, don't have one right now the news is that it is turning itself off again solo... Turns on when he wants to, when its loading it shuts off and starts vibrating, only sometimes it boots completely what can be causing this?

Found an app in the google play market called Wake up screen costs 2 dollars but it allows you to shake your phone and wake it up instead of pushin the menu or power button...i like to save my buttons from as much as wear and tear over time as possible great app

I don't know about you guys but my home button gets VERY hot when listening to music and on 4G. I know 4G and music can heat up the phone but my home button is reeeally hot. How hot does your home button get?

i had 3 s3s that got hot 1 note with the black crush screen issue now they sent out another s3 you have 14 to 20 days to return each phone no matter what(no physical damage). tmobile calls it buyers remorse if you bring to a tmobile store and confirm the issue with them it will be on the computer for cust service to see so they dont have you go through the hard reset ect... if your past your 20 days they will send a refurbished phone if you have php.php is awsome, say next year your battery loses capacity or your phone starts acting up call they will send a replacement.

I don't play games on my phone but it only happens while listening to music and browsing the web on 4G in a hot car on a hot day...lol but still its reeeally hot. Oh well thanks for your help everyone
