I'm liking 2 right now.
1) Samsung i8700
2) Asus
I'm hoping they offer expandable storage via SD card under the battery. But I'm liking the appeal of the square devices.

Storage will not work in the since that you might be thinking it will only increase the size of you internal storage ie smasung + 8 gb sd card = internal storage of 16gb

Samsung has some nice looking phones lined up, but I doubt they'll support any of them after they're released. So far I'm digging the Asus but I'd like to see more specs on it.

My phone doesn't exist yet i want a tilt 3 or whatever predecessor that comes along.

LG E900 looks nice , and LG devices are said to have DLNA support.
Wonder what unique feature the HD7 will offer

This, for sure, although it almost saddens me to see that such a wonderful piece of hardware is paired with such a limited OS.

I think it will probably be the other way around...Dell do not have much experience with phone hardware.....WP7 looks awesome to me....

Another HP $99 Sale this weekend

I just saw on the news that HP is doing another one of the $99 sales,this weekend through EBay. I am trying to track down more particulars but I am sure others know where to look better than I do. Sorry if this is known and I missed it. If anyone finds more info, please post a link

Set myself a reminder on my phone so that I can be ready. Hopefully I can get one if I am fast enough! Would love to have one, either model, probably the 16GB would be fine. Friend has one and it is a very nice piece of hardware. I would love to have this with ICS on it.

Honestly...don't use the thing. I can see it being useful if you're traveling a lot though. And that's something I don't do often. It's normally sitting on my nightstand.
I'm on the fence about selling mine. I'm running Android on it and I know I can sell it for $300 on ebay

I'm right there with you. I thought I would be using it often but nope. It's just sitting there in a case looking pretty. I have CM7 on it but not too crazy about it and I doubt ICS will make me use it more. I might sell it after I'm done with finals. However, for those that will use it and get that awesome deal, it's a no brainer.

Thanks, I heard about the first run, but didn't get interested until they were all sold.. Is WebOS worth keeping on it?? Or is Android pretty mature on it like it's natural?

WebOS is definitely a keeper. It works well with the tablet and besides, it's not like installing CM7 will remove it since it dual boots. During the rare occasions I use it I favor CM7 cause of android games and WebOS to complete some tasks.

does Galaxy Nexus have Micro SD expansion?

I read from various sources that the GN does not have SD expansion capacity, but on this site it says it's got MicroSD slot, so I am a bit confused.

No variation of the galaxy nexus has a built in micro SD slot. The front page of that ad is false. Obviously not a trustworthy place to buy from. But if u check the specs page

You can see no mention of the SD card slot.
I know some kernals on some devices use the USB otg feature that allows more memory but it plugs into the USB port.

Kogan is a trustworthy site for buying electronics for a cheaper price for us Australians, as most of you probably know we Australians get ripped off by our retailers big time, so sites like Kogan is a good place to shop.
I think this is just an honest mistake by Kogan.

Maybe it is a cheap Chinese knockoff. The GNEX does not have an sd slot.

Totally irrelevant and off point.
It was a typo and this thread, and yeah big companies can do the same. Nothing good comes from putting an ICS render on a Razr with soft keys, AND capacitive buttons. Greed has nothing to do with it. Marketing folks don't always get things right.

But sometimes they are intentionally misleading which can be attributed to other factors than greed or not getting it right. But even those reaons boil down to greed usually.

Of course, even the smallest companies can and will do that.

The GN is capable of reading a micro sd via USB to go.

I'm not in any way related to this project, I just really, really want to see it get funded. Hello world! You like your Nexus tablet but you hate the fact that it doesn't have a built-in SD card reader for storage expansion? My brother and I felt that way when we first got one in July 2012. So we decided to do something about it -- make one for it. After many months of hard work, finally we have something that we feel good about and we want to share with the world.
What does it do?
Well, it is just like a SD card reader that you use on your computer, except it is for Android tablets and smartphones that have MicroUSB port. You can use it to read/write MicroSD cards, copy files between your phone/tablet and a MicroSD card.
It supports MicroSDHC cards up to 32GB (max capacity by SDHC standard), and MicroSDXC cards up to 64GB (max capacity available on the market). SDXC standard supports cards up to 2TB -- this reader should support future MicroSDXC cards of higher capacity up to that, but we have no way of testing it right now.

Sweet idea, but I'd much prefer an idea like this, but built in to a case - so you can still have it plugged in while it's in your pocket.

No actually, those were two separate announcements. They were confirming that it worked on the One, but because they hit their stretch goal, everyone who pledges will get the usb-to-microusb adapter. Epic!

Please do, I didnt even know this type of thing existed.
I ordered both a charge card and my pebble off kickstarter and although the pebble took a long time to get to me and communication was ****, I am happy with both products.

What is ATT exclusive? If you're referring to the 64GB HTC One then you're incorrect. I have a non developer non ATT HTC One 64GB model. If you're referring to something else then I missed that.

64GB is AT&T exclusive in the States. Not available in Canada. Other markets/carriers may carry it though.. lucky [email protected] lol

Man - if they combined a Qi charger and micro-SD card slot into a case, I would pay anything for it.
And make it so the USB cable makes a u-shaped bend around to the back of the phone so it doesn't add any "height" to the phone.
You could probably do the whole thing adding only a few mm to the thickness, and nothing to the other dimensions...

lol i was an early backer of this. i backed it right when i got my phone. already have a 64gb sd card waiting for it. lols

So how would this work? If I put music on my SD card and attach it to the phone with this product, does it run through an app? Or would stock htc apps be able to read from it?
