FAQ:
Do I have to wipe fully if I am coming from a previous version of SB?
No, Formatting system, wiping dalvik, and cache should be sufficient. If you get Force Closes wipe fully.
My status bar is force closing, what do I do?
Go into clockwork mod, go under mounts and storage and format system
Why is my battery life so bad after flashing?
You just flashed it will get a lot better, go calibrate your battery.
When will when your next update come out?
Usually Sundays, please don't ask for ETAs.
I am getting hot reboots, what do I do?
Go into lockscreen settings, and change your lockscreen to rotary or ept.
Can I flash a different kernel?
Yes, most Epic Touch 4G Kernels should work.
E4GT HOWTO's (thanks to just_s for being awesome and writing this)
How to extract an apk from a ROM/zip (you'll need a program like 7-zip, winrar, etc.)
[*]Download the ROM/zip that contains the desired apk(s)
[*]Double click the zip and it will open in your default zip program
[*]Navigate to system/app and drag the desired apk(s) to an easy to remember location. (I use Dropbox or Minus, which makes the apk available on my phone without any further desktop steps.)
[*]If not using a cloud storage option, connect your phone to your desktop and copy apk(s) to your SD
[*]That's it, you now have the apk(s) on your phone and can proceed with double clicking and installing the app or if a system app to the next tutorial for installing a system apk.
How to remove a system apk w/Root Explorer (ROM Toolbox can also be used, but slightly different process):
[*]Open Root Explorer (or ROM Toolbox Root Browser) and navigate to system>app
[*]Mount R/W (top right in Root Explorer, R/W is on by default in ROM Toolbox)
[*]If this is a system app, long press existing apk and either move (if you want to keep it) or delete (if you don't care)
[*]Hit OK and your free of the undesired app.
[*]CAUTION: make sure you research before randomly removing things or you are likely to bork something. A good list of items that have/can be removed successfully in naerok's incredibly streamlined ROM can be found in Post #3 here.
How to install a system apk w/Root Explorer (ROM Toolbox can also be used, but slightly different process):
[*]Download or extract the desired app apk and place it somewhere on your SD where you can find it (I highly recommend Dropbox for this)
[*]Open Root Explorer (or ROM Toolbox Root Browser) and navigate to system>app
[*]Mount R/W (top right in Root Explorer, R/W is on by default in ROM Toolbox)
[*]If this is a system app, long press existing apk and either move (if you want to keep it) or delete (if you don't care)
[*]If moving, navigate to the place you want to store the apk using the Parent Folder link at the top
[*]Paste to the desired location then go to the place with the replacement apk
[*]Longpress the replacement apk and copy or move
[*]Navigate back to system>app (should still be mounted) and paste the replacement apk
[*]Longpress the replaced apk and select permissions
[*]Then leave all three in the first column (Read) checked, only the top item in the middle column (Write) checked and none in the third column (Execute). (rw-r--r--)
[*]Hit OK and enjoy!
How to extract a bootanimation from a ROM (you'll need a program like 7-zip, winrar, etc.)
[*]Download the ROM/zip that contains the desired bootanimation.zip
[*]Double click the zip and it will open in your default zip program
[*]Navigate to system/media and drag the bootanimation to an easy to remember location. (I use Dropbox or Minus, which makes the apk available on my phone without any further desktop steps.)
[*]If not using a cloud storage option, connect your phone to your desktop and copy bootanimation.zip to your SD
[*]That's it, you now have the bootanimation zip on your phone and can proceed to the next tutorial for installing/replacing a bootanimation
How to replace/add a boot animation
[*]Download or extract a bootanimation.zip
[*]Place the bootanimation.zip on root of your SD card (or use a cloud app i.e. Dropbox, Minus, Box, etc.)
[*]Make a copy of the bootanimation and name it sanim.zip and move that to your SD card as well
[*]Open a root manager app (I prefer Root Explorer)
[*]Navigate to system/media
[*]Select Mount R/W (top right in Root Explorer, on by defauly in ROM Toolbox) then either delete, or move existing bootanimation.zip and sanim.zip
[*]Navigate back to sdcard, then copy or move bootanimation.zip to system/media and then repeat with sanim.zip
[*]Some people replace only the bootanimation.zip and others only the sanim.zip, but I find each of those methods seem to create issues if the kernel you are running does not support custom bootanimations by default. So I replace both zips and it has worked well on multiple ROMs/Kernels. If this doesn't work for you, try replacing each individually. One of the three methods will definitely work for your ROM/Kernel combo.
[*]User 12MaNy has created a thread with several bootanimations available as well some methods for install
[*]Boot animation sounds can be found/added at /system/etc/poweron.wav and /system/etc/1_Power_on.ogg (may be listed as /system/etc/poweron.bak and /system/etc/1_Power_on.bak if these have been "muted".)
How to hack custom bootanimation support (Via chris41g)
[*]Rename /system/bin/samsungani to something else... (eg samsungani.old)
[*]Rename /system/bin/bootanimation to /system/bin/samsungani
[*]After that it will load whatever bootanimation is at /system/media/sanim.zip
How to add/restore/change bootanimation sounds (you'll need a program like 7-zip, winrar, etc.)
[*]Open the ROM zip that you want to run
[*]Navigate to /system/etc/ and look for poweron and 1_Power_on
[*]If they appear as poweron.wav and 1_Power_on.ogg you are good to go
[*]If they appear as poweron.bak and 1_Power_on.bak you need to rename them as above
[*]If they don't exist, you will need to add them to this location or replace them with similar sized sound files of your choice. Make sure to keep the filenames and formats as above
Stuck at a black screen, bootanimation, etc
No need to jump through all sorts of hoops. Simply download and flash Bubby's CWM Kernel in Odin 1.85. Boot into Recovery and restore nandroid, re-flash StarBurst or flash another ROM of your choice.
*Assumes you were rooted to begin with as you are in this thread and have previously flashed the ROM.

I dont see a /system/etc/init.d/ folder, so do you mind sharing what RAM tweaks are included?

No overscroll glow (which I don't really care for anyway)....and ads are still present.
Everything else seems to be running fine. I don't care much for Zedomax's kernel.

The major difference is that it is fully skinned in BlueTopia Bliss. Taskbar Icons, Apps, keyboard, and many other minor little things.
There are also some tweaks like Emails get audio and vib out of the box with every account you add. No more going into each account then settings then alerts ect... GPS tweak for faster locks. A couple of other minor apps cooked in that can be downloaded from the market. The base is the same but the kernel has been updated. V1.4 with get all of these updates soon.
I'm sure there is more that I have forgotten.

Be careful with this one I just tried to replace the framework-res.apk like I had 20+ times on topia HD...and after a reboot EVERYTHING force-closed. Gmail, internet, phone, market, etc. It was the same framework-res.apk that I have used the entire time so I figured it would work. Any way just to let you know.
For those looking for a CWM zip of the latest v1.0.1 BlueTopiaHD(2)
BlueTopiaHD v1.0.1 CWM
I am also attaching an SU zip that can be used to fix the root bug.
1. Flash the CWM zip
2. Go to the advanced options from the CWM main menu and select "Fix Permissions"
3. Flash the SU zip to make sure root works.
Hey cmylxgo not sure if you have done this already, but I have an idea which would complete your bluetopia a blue market. Here is a link to it. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=888330&page=12 you can ask the developer if you can use it in your build and just give him some credit and I am thinking that should be alright. Just an idea I have not used bluetopia so I am not sure what is included in it.

First and foremost, I would like to thank my wife Christy for putting up with the 100+ hours it took me to get the storage framework working. I told her I would be taking a break after this and I am. It is likely that the coming OTA will render most of this rom unneeded. However, I just have this thing with pwning Motorola Also, I would like to thank Roach from the Transformer team for breaking the back of the smali roadblock. Also, I have to thank Dr1337 from #xoom for making me double check the MediaProvider.apk manifest I hope you guys enjoy this rom. Be sure to read the change log and follow all instuctions when flashing. Thanks

Unless you are upgrading from 1.1 or an private beta, you will need to wipe.
If you're on a EURO 3G device, please note that this rom should install the correct build.prop for you, but you will still need to backup & push your telephony databases. See here.
We know about the layout changes in applications such as Settings. This is due to how we had to decompile framework-res.

Release Notes
2.0.1 Release Notes
In this release, I have updated the maps application in /system/apps. This will bring maps up to the latest version, but unfortuantly will still not allow future updates from the market. However we are currently working on a fix for this that won't require users to wipe. (Hopefully, no promises).
Also, we listened to our users about the battery icons, and Nusince has drawn use some new ones that are very similar to the ones used in Rom v1.0/1.1 but have been redone to match the new resolution.
I have also included the build.prop installation script again so that the update will flash the correct build.prop, depending on the current one you have installed. So if you have a euro 3g Xoom, your 3g data connection should work perfectly.
You are also able to flash this directly over the top of the 2.0 rom, no need for a wipe or factory reset.
Last, but not least we have 3 new members to Tiamat Xoom. We welcome TDR, Steady Hawkin and lowtraxx to the team, so look forward to some interesting improvements!
Changelog
Version 2.0.1

Updated the maps application. NOTE: This is just a temporary fix, and we are working on a permanent fix.

System now gives storage control thru status bar icon and in Settings / Storage
Unmount MicroSD, remove, put in another one for working Hot Swap
Automatically mount USB Host storage (unmount still broke do to borked vold.fstab)
All Android media services scan both internal and MicroSD for media (Gallery, Music, etc)
new native Transformer file explorer accessable thru status bar to explore all mounted storage
Unfortunately, USB Mass Storage is still broke. (It's turning out to be far more complex than it should be)
Entire rom re-signed with test key due to manifest changes for storage port. All services work 100% (Google music beta, Market, etc)
Implemented a variety of init.d scripts with "Tiamat Control" flags
Enable features by moving flags (/data/tiamat_controls) in or out of "unused" folder

Enable or disable logging for better battery life
sysctl memory tweak
Cron service enabled for time based scripts (put Cron scripts in /data/cron)
Rom zip-aligned on boot (still insanely fast boot time)

Removed bloatware (Cordy.apk, dungeondefenders.apk, and stingrayquickoffice.apk)
Changed back to mostly stock icons
Removed the charging percent text from the pull up settings.
When charging, it will now alternate between the battery percentage in the middle and a charging symbol.
Version 1.0 - Update 3 (Busybox fix)
Fixed the dependency that the ramdisk had on busybox, specifically run-parts.
Version 1.0 - Update 2 (charging light)
Enabled the led charging light in the ramdisk as per popular request.
Version 1.0 - 3g fix
Fixed permissions in /system/bin. This was causing issues with 3g connections.
Replaced framework-res.apk with a less modified version. There is no SIP calling and sms now, but the activation screens work now.
Tips
Turning the charging light offUsing root explorer, or other file manager that gives you enough control, move the "enableChargingLight" file in /data/tiamat_controls into the directory /data/tiamat_controls/not_in_use
Automatically installing applications when you flash the rom:
In the zip file, under the directory "data" there is a directory called "tiamat_first_boot_install". You can place all of your apk files that you want installed when you first boot in there. This is useful for applications such as Thumb Keyboard and Titanium Backup

Tiamat Xoom Rom v1.1 Mod Pack 1 Change Log
Added "Native Screenshot"!
You can now take screenshots with your Xoom. Enable the feature in Settings / Display. To take a screenshot, press and hold the "Recent Apps" button for about 4 seconds. You will get a popup indicating the shot was taken and asking if you would like to keep the service running. The shots can be found in /sdcard/screenshot.
Added "Power Button Reboot Options"
I grabbed this from my buddy Roach`, developer of Prime!1.5 Rom for Transformer. Although i plan on further enhancing this feature, it works for now Press and hold the Power button. Your menu will give the opportunity to power down or reboot into recovery or cancel. It's not bad for first time around. Later, we will have a full featured Shutdown Menu.
Added "Maps won't update" fix
Sorry about that one guys. And yes, to whoever posted it, I should have put Maps.apk in data/app. You get 10 Tiamat Points! Ok. This simply removes Maps.apk from system/app and installs the updated Maps.apk in data/app.
Added "Swype won't download" fix
Changes Browser UAString in framework-res.apk from modded Desktop default to Mobile default. This is needed to download Swype from their network. Install Mod Pack 1 first and reboot. Then go back into recovery and flash the Swype fix. One you have Swype up and running. Go back into recovery and flash Mod Pack 1 again if you wish to return to Desktop default UAString. If you wish to stay on Mobile default, no further action is needed.

NOTE: I apologize to themers out there, but this pack does contain a modified framework-res.apk. I had to add some strings for the reboot mod. You should be able to get away with just grabbing the resources.arcs and dropping into you're themed fw-res.

How to remove:
Remove the files from system/app with an app like root explorer AFTER you flash the rom
Use ADB and this command "adb rm /system/app/app.apk" AFTER you flash the rom
At this time, I would not recommand removing BEFORE flashing the rom, as it will break setupwizard (this can be disabled in the build.prop)
Below is a list of apps i have removed and what they are for:

Browser.apk <Internet Browser (If You Use Something Else)>

Running it now and so far so good. Did have to wipe data but at least it feels like a fresh start.
2 things I have seen so far
1. Edit: No reboot needed just remove and reinsert the sdcard and its back.
Once I unmount the Sdcard I have to reboot to remount it.
2. This is the quickest boot time I have seen yet by far.

Can't wait too see what's next.

The ROM installs by default certain files and deletes some Samsung applications and widgets.
This process can be modified by editing the "Lite" file which will be installed in the internal SDcard of your phone after the first ROM installation. “Lite” can be edited with a text editor (notepad for example) following the instructions of the MANUAL METHOD or the AUTOMATIC METHOD by using GalaxyRom LiteEditor.exet . The AUTOMATIC METHOD is more intuitive and is the method I recommend to avoid bad configurations and problems.
If you want to customize your first installation, before installing the ROM, you will have to put "Lite" on internal SDcard (without putting it in any folder). You can get "Lite" by using GalaxyRom LiteEditor.exe (see post 3) or by downloading the attached file lite.rar following the manual method.
If you do not have the "Lite" file on your mobile SDcard, the default ROM, kernel, applications and theme will be installed.
 AUTOMATIC METHOD
Thanks to @AntiSpam7 we have the automatic and visual process through the "GalaxyRom LiteEditor.exe" (see post 3).
It's an intuitive process in which you will only have to choose which applications you want to install by selecting the boxes next to the application name and then tick "Create Lite File". This creates a file called "Lite" in the same folder that you have the GalaxyRom LiteEditor.exe. This file called "Lite" is the one you'll have to put inside your internal phone SDcard (without putting it in any folder).
For more info on the apps, mouse over it to reveal name and description.
It is not necessary to edit it manually the generated “Lite” file although you can do it if needed following the manual method.
 MANUAL METHOD
“Lite” file can be edited manually opening it with any text editor, eg notepad, you'll see that each line has the name of an application and right the corresponding explanation.
Applications with "#" before the name will be installed in the installation of the ROM.
For example, if you want to install the application Youtube remove "#" from the line. Resulting Youtube.apk.
If instead you want to install it, you have to put "#" before it. The result being #Youtube.apk (this is the default scenario)
In a nut shell, only the apps with "#" before the name will be installed.
In this way we will not have to download anything to have applications that are not present in ROM by default.

Lite Editor V14
We present a file Editor Lite will make us all a little easier to customize the installation of GalaxyROM. You only have to unpack the RAR attachment in your PC is not necessary to install anything.
In this Editor you can quickly configure your own installation by following these steps:
You can select the File menu language (English - Spanish)
When you open the Editor are applications that will go to the System folder on your terminal. Some apps are marked, which are what the chef has seen fit to keep sharp for a standard installation.
You can make the selection of applications you want, provided they do not superéis the System partition size. The Editor will not let you create a file whose installation Lite unsafe.
On the second tab you have applications that the chef has decided to include in your ROM as commonly used applications and general
After selecting the desired application, all you have to press the button "Create File Lite".
I asked to indiquéis the kernel, modem and bootanimation you want to install the ROM and the theme you wish.
Uncheck startup sound if you want to delete startup sound.
Check clear installation files if you want to delete those files, themes, kernels, modems and applications that have decided not to install (applications that have not marked on the Lite Editor), to save space in /sdcard.
After a message like this
Lite file is created in the same folder where you unzipped the Editor. That file you must put it in the Lite zip ROM, in a folder called sdcard. After that you can copy your ROM to the SD of your terminal and flash as normal, with your personalization and applied.
You know, if you have any problems let me know as soon as possible to solve

The titaniumbackup is the free version, the activator is another application, if you do not execute the activator, the titanium version will remain free.
If this can not be done, will eliminate the activator
PD:I removed the activator

Extract GalaxyRom Lite Editor V06 in your pc and configure the apps you want to be installed in your sgs.
Then that GalaxyRom Lite Editor V06 will create a file which you have to put into your phone's sd card.
Dont put that file in any folder and flash the rom.

thanks for ramanadodda for this video:
Temple Run video
Tips:
1. Don't change LMK options in Semaphore app, leave it as it is (48 MB ), cuz Thunderbolt LMK (100 MB for v2 and 80 MB for v1) is already built inside the ROM
2. for better Gaming experience in v1 of MesoROM, use the Tweaking Addon. You can find it in post #3.

You should really read the stickies in the general section.
If you don't know how to instal stock and then a custom rom, you should start on your documentation.

I like this ROM, especially the lower lcd density (did you do anything special? android wouldn't boot when I tried to change it myself before) but I think you have been a bit too rigorous with debloating the ROM. For example, there is no calendar or calendarsync, no gallery, no clock/alarm, etc. Could you make there available as installable packages? (or at least provide a zip with all removes apks).
And, if possible, could you (give an option to) remove the provider name from the status bar?
Thanks

Thanks! Both zips seem to be working fine. I'd suggest adding the GoogleCalendarSyncAdapter.apk (I managed to restore it from a previous titanium backup) to enable syncing with Google.
Any chance you could add the default keyboard too? The Samsung one doesn't provide a lot of languages unfortunately.

Thanks man, this one doesn't seem to work though. It stays grayed out. Any idea why?

Not sure what's going wrong but your suggestions didn't work, even after a full wipe it's still greyed out, but at least it's default state it checked instead of unchecked now, which means I can actually use it. So thanks for your help

This is probably due to the modified DPI. It's very annoying, but for some reason, the Play Store hides about half of the apps I use when using a modified DPI. Maybe a patched version of the Play Store could be included in the ROM?
Anyway, I'm running this ROM for a day now and it's running nice and smoothly and I'm liking the modular idea. I did some toying around restoring a few more APKs myself as I needed them, maybe an idea for more installable packages? (although the VPN one probably won't be used much)
VPN Framework (needed for OpenVPN):
VpnDialogs.apk
Email (Because K-9 doesn't support exchange yet):
Exchange.apk
Email.apk
