DNSe/5.1 Surround Enhancement

Hi guys,
Just wanted to know if there is a music player app that can implement the 5.1 SRS on our device in case the stock player doesn't work on future ROMS. I know Arco's ICS ROM is coming and there are some stock apps/features I wouldn't want to lose. The 5.1SRS is a great extra that our device has over many others. Suggestions?

There is a DSP in the forthcoming ICS CM9 not sure whether it has this feature.

I think the 5.1 SRS is hardware supported on our device(isnt it??)...so all we need is an app that can utilise it. So far, the stock player is the ONLY app I know that can use the sound enhancement. Maybe you could get Arco to test it onthe ICS ROM? Would be very grateful!!

I think this features will be available in upcoming arco's cm9 coz srs lab said their magic will be available on all Sammy's galaxy device...this mean on ics source also have it..maybe.I'm not quite sure..
This 5.1srs is a virtual surround system..not depending on hardware..
But I also interested if this features can be used on 3rd party app...but,I hve no idea..xP

same question after 3 years....where is the DNSe app ??

[Q] Best Video Format

I want to start watching movies/tv shows on my Galaxy Nexus.
What is the best video format?
I see a lot of .mp4's are x264... is that x264 good?
Cheers,
I believe MP4 H.264 is best in the native video player would be best battery wise, as it is CPU/GPU supported not done in software like DIVX/XVID AVIs wit 3rd party apps
You could try this too, it plays just about everything, just change decoder settings to sw instead hw.

Mx player looks great! That is what i really expected...to just be able to throw a movie from pc to nexus without converting. I'm looking forward to trying one tonight. Do you know if there has to be some free space on the phone for it to be able to decode? After, are there two files, the original and the decoded?
Thanks a lot for sharing.
Thanks, using my Gucci Nexus on XDA premium

There is not 2 files after it decodes I don't believe u need extra space for it to decode it just does in the app itself I can see the files in the gallery but they only play using mx

I guess I should also say I'm not positive it will play everything. My buddy threw transformers 3 and the new planet of the apes on my phone, told me to download mx and he swears by it. So if does not play right away I would just mess with the decoder settings a little.

Best Music Player For Gio

Guys can u suggest best music player for gio?
or what do you prefer?
I had TTpod and PlayerPro
both have their advantages and disadvantages
so
i want
good music quality w/ equalizer
good artworks
lyrics
good UI of course
and etc.
so I'll be happy if u suggest some good players
So far this is the best music player that i seen on play store https://play.google.com/store/apps/...SwxLDEsImNvbS51bmRlcndvb2Qubm93X3BsYXlpbmciXQ..
It works on GB ICS JB but on GB it has some graphic issues but on ICS/JB everything is ok
Or this one https://play.google.com/store/apps/...sMSwxLDEwNCwiY29tLnNpbXBsZWNpdHkuYW1wX3BybyJd

but if someone still looking for good music player I can reccomend Mort Player or MIUI Music. Mort is the best. For me if Music player do not have option to sorting by folders I can not use it.

For YouTube search google for Tubemate.apk (Dont search the google play store, you won't find it)
Tubemate allows you to watch all your YouTube videos in HD with an option to download them as well. I use this all the time, I never use my YouTube app.
For the other problem you're facing, it might be due to a codec problem. You'll get different codecs for MX player depending on your phone. Try reinstalling MX player and the codec.
Hope this helps!
thanks for reply. Bye
