[Q] Modifying apps? - Nook Touch Android Development

Does anyone here know how to take a component from one program and add it to another? I love the way go laucher handles widgets, long press and you can either resize or delete but Zeam is way smaller on my Nook. So I'd like to take the widget managment from go launcher and add it to zeam. Any advice folks?

advanced launcher on 2.1 or 2.2?

I loved advanced launcher when i had my vogue. It runs alongside any other launcher, only adds some features i can't seem to find anywhere now, especially the ability to group apps in the drawer into folders WITHIN the app drawer itself...thus, no long lists of apps to scroll through. I was also able to temporarily hide apps that weren't used, putting them into a hidden file. Available to reuse whenever i wanted. Is there any way to bring this to 2.1 or Froyo? Here is the link to the original post of irrenhaus... http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=540880 (of few of his screenshots below)
or just import utilities portion?
I guess it is possible to include the launcher utilities into another launcher...

(post #879) ...but has anybody attempted this? or is anyone with knowledge willing to try to import it into one of the currently popular launchers that are incorporated into CM6?
really nobody can point me in any direction??
not sure if this is what your looking for, but i posted something that may be related to your request. I'm guessing that advanced launcher is different than ADW.Launcher. if yes, don't forget that adw allows for an extra set of menus by doing an upward swipe over the 'app drawer' icon.

i'm thinking that QuickDesk and/or SmartShortcuts may be of help.
quickdesk basically creates a desktop that is visible after a long press on the search button. you can can access this desktop at any time.
smartshortcuts allow you to 'group' applications, bookmarks and/or contacts.
the link above has some screenshots.

[Q] Multiple Themes/Scenes.

Is it possible to configure homescreens and widgets, save them as a theme, and then be able to save the different themes/scene configurations so that you can switch from one to the other?
Yes, they are called Scenes, ironically enough. Press the menu key on the home screen and choose scenes.
under my scenes i have one called 1st homescreen; however it doesn't allow me to create or save another theme other than that one - that's my question, is there a way of doing it. i currently use launcher pro.

BUMP I too use launcher pro and would like to be able to use scenes. I can create and save them while in sense but when I choose them in launcher, all it does is change the wallpaper. Is there an app that will change the icon settings as well as the wallpaper in a predefined way like scenes does with sense? If not, is there a way to get scenes to work correctly using launcher pro?
You cannot save widgets in Launcher pro, only the programme settings.

[Q] Launcher that doesn't have an applications menu.

I find the apps menu redundant and I would like to have all my apps directly on the desktop + unlimited screens.
Suggestions are appreciated
errrrrr isnt that just called an iphone......
There's also a launcher called iHome that does this, unfortunately it's far to fancied up for my tastes.
Unfortunately the "great" iOS4 seems to be incapable of handling widgets...
More than 7 home screens would probably hog up all your ram and eat your battery. Just use folders bro.
No it wouldn't, I just want to get rid of the Apps menu. Wherever those shortcuts are they'd eat just as much.
It's not like every desktop has a new wallpaper or something,
So anything, anyone?
My experience with LauncherPro shows that the more home screens there are, the more ram it uses. Maybe it's different with TouchWiz.
I'm guessing you don't like folders on your home screen?
Not bothered by them
I just want to "move" all my things on the home screens so I don't have to go in the apps menu anymore.
And I want to get rid of the apps menu in the process to not waste ram.

Could anyone explain to me how to use the 'Custom Shortcuts' app?

Hi all,
I use Zeam launcher because of its lightness, but there's unfortunately no option for adding custom shortcuts to your homescreens.
For example, when using ADW I put a shortcut directly to the alarm, without having to click on Clock > Alarm. Seems that I can't do that with Zeam.
So, I downloaded an app called Custom Shortcuts, but I must say it's quite weird. When I click on it, I have access to the most recent tasks but it seems that I need to know the URI of the activity I want to put a shortcut to, and I don't know those URI...
Could anyone help, please? Thanks!
I think Any Cut may be what you're looking for

GO Launcher app drawer

Does anyone know if in the GO launcher app drawer its possible to have blank spaces on each page of the app drawer...? I like to organise my apps by category on different pages. It's possible to have less than the standard 16 apps on one page in the default samsung application organiser. and in iOS which what I've made the move from... so I really hope it's possible in GO launcher too!
Thanks

Tools
Then the rest of the samsung and ROM garbage just in the main draw
I have another question about Go Launcher EX, which i thougt i could ask here.
Can you remove the top of the app drawer? By that i mean the: All-Recent-Running
I love Go Launcher but the top of the appdrawer is just ruining the sweet look

Yeah I do have folders, but I still split them up... eg. I'd have a page for games with folders called card games, sports games etc. and then a separate page for all work related apps, news apps etc
I guess I'm just trying to be compulsively organised!
Would love list view. Possible?
