Yes, that is the case. Though, glitch atm only has Voodoo Color, a kernel like fugumod should fix the gradient issues though.

Gonna test it. Can you pls add some screenshots.
Report will follow.

Battery icons with percent left ?

Thx for the screenies. Will test it on weekend. At the moment I´m testing the new
MIUI Nothing Fancy Kitchen.

Gonna flash this when I'm home. Will report! Thanks for your work!

3G Video Call
Hello.
Nice work, this ROM looks really nice. Congrats.
Just one question.
One thing that keeps me from moving to MIUI ROMs is the 3G video call feature that is supported in stock ROMs.
Can you tell me if MIUI ROMs already support this feature?
Thanks,

Hi,
Do u mean apps like skype or the actual phone app? the phone app will unfortunately not support it as samsung hacked video calls in i believe.
cheers.

This may be the first ever Miui rom I flash, now a couple of questions....
Is it user friendly and stable, i play games, browse and text a lot, will it last a good day or so battery?
Tethering, on a normal galaxy s rom, using android AP, i tether (quite a lot), can this rom accept tethering?
last of all, is it simple to flash? just put file into CWM, clear all and flash????
oh one last thing.... any bugs???? and can it run everything a normal galaxy rom can
**EDIT.... crunch engine....do I need to mess about with all this?????

Yeah... I meant the phone app...
Is it that hard to port the stock phone app to MIUI or CM7?
I really use it a lot... on my mobile network I have free video-calls.
Just a thought...

For me, i simply text, call, occasional Google+ and facebook and it will last me more than a day.
Tethering should work just fine.
And yes, though ensure u are on gb bootloaders and format system, cache, data then flash.
crunch engine, you can leave as default, you can mess with it if u want to find what works best for you.

i'm not entirely sure myself, but it'd probably be hard otherwise someone would have done it already

this looks good, generally i don`t like miui because of the lag (and iOS look)
but if you said that you fixed that (the lag, not the look) i will give this a try when i have time
thanks

For me the one and only same reason. cyanogenmod is much much more smooth.. I'll test it once again!

Simple Theme (for TW Launcher 4.5) consists of SGS II icons by bassie1995 and dock icons from launcherpro.droidicon.com, nothing else.
Looks great, the name fits the ROM, I'll flash it after the weekend.
Q: Which kernel? If I want to use Galaxian with your ROM, is it best to delete the init.d scripts you added? (by this I mean the tweaks)

Sorry, forgot to mention. It uses TalonDEV 0.4.3. The tweaks shouldn't be a problem, I didn't test Galaxian though.
Looks like an awesome and simple ROM.
I really like the looks of this ROM. Trying this instantly.
Very promising!
Could we have battery % ?
Thanks!
Is this the first themed odexed ROM for SGS i9000?
Is the 3D fix added to the rom? (Attached) credits to currydude and the person before that who uploaded it.
So its not a problem zipaligning system odexed apks?
Thx in andvace.

Notes:
(1) Deodexing has the advantage of easy customization, but it breaks some apps like the browser. Since Simplicity needs few customization, it isn't required to do so. And since it's odexed, it will boot faster.

Not entirely true... sure, the first boot will be faster than the deodexed equivalent, but all subsequent boots will be the same. Please don't falsely advertise.

Sorry, didn't know that, I thought I had read that somewhere. Fixed. I thought odex files were optimized files to reduce disk space? So it still has an advantage .
Edit:
I just saw I forgot to add the kernel and modem in the installation zip. So please wait with installing till 0.2 is ready. If you already did install, you can install 0.1 to 0.2 update zip which will install the modem and kernel included.

I used APK Manager. I copied the system apk's and odex files to the place-apk-here-to-batch-optimize and then used option 15.
I don't know if it's needed to also copy the odex files.

Most of the ROM's out there are as stock as possible, and I'm probably the most appreciative of the great work the true developers do in making all of this happen. This custom ROM, however, is optimized with the best tweaks and fixes around, with a good looking theme.
As we all wait anxiously for a stable release of ICS that we can use daily, I have decided to re-theme my ROM by porting over many elements of the ICS source. v2.2 provides a taste of ICS with the status bar, clock widget, settings widget, all icons, and much more in the UI.

Basic Installation Steps for Data2SD
hdnebat said:
Install ROM (CWM)
Install the A2SD Killer (CWM)
Next step differs depending on whether you're reflashing your Rom on an existing install, or whether you are installing for the first time.
If you're installing the ROM for the first time:
Reboot once after running the A2SD Killer
Setup the timezone, language etc (But not your Google Account/Market)
Reboot to recovery once again and install the Data2SD Installer
If you're reflashing the ROM (after having installed Data2SD once previously)
Do not reboot after running the A2SD Killer
Install the Data2SD Re-Installer right away
Now reboot.
Thanks again for the owner of the script Sibere

Only magldr for now. I will be updating build soon and my add clk support but for now, if you would like, there is a very good guide on running magldr roms on clk: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1111081
Did you get Tytung's permission to theme his rom and re-release it? I like the theme and all that but You didnt give him no credit and its clearly his NexusHD2 themed.

when i mean credit i mean like This is Tytungs NexusHD2 rom themed. you gave him credit at the bottom along side some other graet devs but you didnt say you used his rom as a base and to say you fixed 720p playback and other things which were never broken to be fixed in the first place. So that is kind of misleading to everyone.
going to try now..!
Thanks, finally got a message on the first page
Thanks for your work, I will trey this rom.
will test too, looks great!
edit #1
Something is wrong with font, in polish language there is no special symbols.

thx so i will try it
Please note that using a rom as your base is completely fine, but with the permission of the dev. The changes you've done, is honestly really just theming and everything else an avid android user could do. Well at least you gave credit, and it's always nice to see a new rom up on the forums however, this does not look like it brings anything new to the table.
On less serious terms...
Nice theme, might want to create a thread(if there is already not) in the android theming section. NexusHD needs some flashable themes anyways.
So far so good I really like the look and feel,Ive never been a big fan of the slide animation but the rom is pretty smooth.
I'll report any findings after rom settles

Hello all, While developing for the HD2 & S2, we (af974 and me) though it would be nice to bring some HyperDroid love for my Galaxy Tab as well.
We have been using this ROM for the past weeks and I though it was very selfish of me not to share here at XDA.
This ROM is intended for my personal use, the ROM was never built with the intention of being released, please take that into consideration before requesting or reporting bugs. This is a shared work from af974 and me with you guys. I hope you find it as joyful as we have.
Credits
*Thanks the the whole Hyperdroid team for making this possible
**Thanks to the OverCome Team for sharing their wonderful experience, specially alterbridge89 for his great support and source sharing, you guys are an example of what true developers should be.
***Thanks to af974 for his kickass kernel
****Thanks to rotohammer for his unlocking commands, Thank you from the Samsung Galaxy Tab @XDA Community we are forever grateful!

**Dropped due to a whole missing code in our tabs. Tracked down the code down to froyo build for the Korean version of our tab, located in services.jar/powerservices.smali. The whole code is missing, so porting it would mean porting the code from froyo to GB, its a very long smali, not worth investing time on it.

Download flashable zip file
Link removed, we cannot include premium apps like swype and polarisoffice outside the rom, if you want them just download any custom rom and grab them from there.(lol), sorry about the inconvenience.

Flashing Instructions
Download the zip file to your PC and compare the md5 sum. If it is the same as the one provided above the download link, please continue.
Please make a nandroid backup before flashing
Do an extra backup of your /EFS folder.
Flash the zip file thru CWM Recovery
When Rom starts, go through Android Settings, then select your desired launcher (I use Launcher Pro)
Open up Spare Parts Application and uncheck compatibility mode.
Now give your TAB about 5 minutes without any tasks. Yeah, go drink water, whatever, just dont touch it so it finishes its background processes without issues (media scanning is taking place in background, to check , do an adb logcat).
Now reboot, and then you can go on and setup your tab.
*Note that the ROM is dark themed. If you dont like the theme, feel free to theme it, I use it this way, so its not coming from me, sorry.
**Note that the ROM is very light weighted.
***If you use another launcher different than Samsung Home Stock Launcher, freeze it using Titanium Backup (it is always running in background and eating up resources)
****Download GPS STatus & Toolbox from Android Market Place to download agps data.
*****Do a Defragmentation of your internal and external sd cards for it to be read faster.
******For Bug reports, please use this, for suggestions and imprevements please link me to their sources, and I will make my best to improve our experience.

Thanks, did the simunlock function worked for you? It works flawlessly here but still want some feedback
It is based on JQ8.
This new kernel was made by me only for testing purpose, actualy i changed only initramfs and removed some governors.
Kernel version in setting does show v. 1.0 because it is nbased on that version.
As Doc said i will update thread kernel soon.
Nice one Doc, gtab community is lucky to have you here

[ROM][ICS] TWICS-UX now with TouchWiz UX and S-Voice [25.05.12]

MadLuca and MadMax97 from mrmad.net put together this “samsung-like” CyanogenMod9 based ROM. The goal is to get a stable, complete AND bugfree Android 4 ROM with TouchwWiz look and feel.
To accomplish this, CM9’ nightly was chosen as a base:it is the best-coded Android 4 ROM (in our oppinion) without any major bugs like the ‘media bug’ and ‘external SD-Card’ bug.

Tapatalking in my sleep
hi, what about fm radio? there's no possibility? spirit fm.. it's ugly.. and no free
I'm afraid there is no other with any ICS ROM for Galaxy S.
Will try soon, as you know we are having a new nightly every 2 or 3 days (in fact we have April 19 nightly right now, and 1.0.1s Semaphore). Are you going to update this rom so frequently?. Thx for your work and good luck!!
We will try our best. In fact those CM9-builds are Nightlys, they need to be tested before. And there won't be that many changes from Nightly to Nightly. If there are bigger changes, let us know and we will try to update as fast as possible.
ok at least we have to taste an Ice cream thanks
I'm using CM9 12april now, I will try this rom tomorrow.
If you will keep this rom stable, don't give it updates nightly, may be week or two with major updates.
Anyway, thanks for your work

Is Viber fix included?? If It's not, modifying bluid.prop should still work Samsung framework?

[ROM] SHPONGLE v3.7 - "You think you can handle it?" [31.08.2012]

FIRST THING TO DO AFTER SETTING UP AN INTERNET CONNECTION / THINGS THAT YOU SHOULD KNOW:
Go to SuperSU app (located in your app drawer) and when the prompt for update appears, press INSTALL button! This is imperative for root because without this update you will face difficulties on giving root to apps such as Root Explorer. This will install a new list of Su Binaries.
AFTER INSTALLING THE UPDATE - RESTART YOUR PHONE!!!
If you have problems with getting the keyboard to appear, don't panic. Do this: Go to sms - new - in the message spot (or contacts) press and hold until the menu appears - press Input method and then select Ice Cream Sandwich keyboard.
I suggest you restart at least once, after you've finished setting up your new rom - it will improve overall speed (don't know why, it just does)
For a faster and long-lasting rom, it is IMPERATIVE TO DELETE the following folders from your SDCARD (not only for my rom - it is a general thing):
/data
/.Trash
/Android
/Lost.DIR
Because I have changed the theme, to get rid of those gingerbread status bar notifications line, go to SETTINGS - ADVANCED SETTINGS - INTERFACE - NOTIFICATION POWER WIDGET - Select "Hide indicator" and "Hide Scrollbar". (or you can set the color of the indicatior to something invisible).
Prologue:
I am so happy with what this project become. At first it was a rom with a theme and a few things but now it has its own personality, it is no longer a based rom, it is a hard worked rom from a hard working guy. I have spent several hours and days from my own time to make this stable, faster, stronger and in the same time adding stuff to reach look and feeling of an ICS rom.
Now that JellyBean (Android 4.1) is out (in a small manner), adding elements to this rom to reach look of JB is imperative (although it is pretty much the same as ICS in terms of graphics - changes are internally in JB).
This ROM has helped me in understanding and learning some things about Android internal's stuff. I am more than welcome to learn even more and I know that I am by far to be called a developer, mostly you can call me a modder or some sort. However, doing this sort of work will continue to consolidate my knowledge and hopefully someday I will build my own rom.
Let's talk about kernel - because here I spent almost 60% of the time:
Kernel is FLYKERNEL - This Kernel came somewhat stock because out there you can find many tweaks available to improve it even more than it is.. (tested). So I started to first read a lot of documentations from various sources and understand how everything works. First I've made horrible mistakes with internal task killer (who have installed beast v1, beast v2 knows what I'm talking about), then I started to retweak it, and then again. So here I was on my chair, flashing test builds on my hero like a crazy person.
After internal task killer was fixed with lower values, I started to implement tweaks one at a time (implement - build - flash - redo). It was not an easy task because it takes alot of time to flash a build, test it, retweak, reflash and retest.
After all of this, I have cherry-picked tweaks from this kernel and set the internal task killer to work best for our small amount of ram.
I hope all of you can appreciate this work as much as I do and hope you have a nice stay on this thread.
So why did you changed the name?
Well, today I've worked almost 12 hours on the rom and in all this time I've listened to Shpongle (youtube it) and I've said to myself, why not changing the name since almost everything works so different right now? If you don't like it, I don't care !

Nicely done @1ceb0x. This ROM is running very quick just like the base Decked_X does. You did a great job with the themes.
I have not noticed anything yet other than what I mentioned above.
This is my new favorite ROM. Thanks!

Why not a Decked_X? I think it's little faster.

Cheers bro! Feel free to post any 'bugs', tought there should not be any !
@ras_mastav, have you've tried this? It has huge memory tweak within init.rc and init.goldfish.rc.
You will get ridiculous free ram and it moves fast! Faster than Decked_X I must say. And the main reason for not choosing Decked_X is because the .apks we're not compatible with some mods! I needed a pure CM 7 rom!
Thanks for your contribution .

no problem mate, hope you like it!
@Ciprilik, you can go either way, but to be 100% sure, boot into the rom for the first time and then flash the patch!
@icebox :
1. Gallery app is removed from the rom
2. No A2SD-EXT support ( (Request: can you please add this feature?)

I don't like the stock Gallery app - Just install Quickpick. It's way better!
2. A2SD - I thought this was broken but since I don't have SD card partition (because you don't really need it unless you install hundred of apps) it was not tested. Will try to add it in the next release.

Can test a2sd-ext when you implement it if you want. The rom is greattt and it only needs that feature !!

How's the speed compared to other roms?
Check the OP for original ICS bootanimation. It is a flashable zip!
The rom is fast, as fast as other GB roms, can't really tell if there is a difference (might be placebo effect)
Edit: Need to test it more I think, but it's blazing fast and I'm gonna stick with this rom as I love the ICS feel. ty
It should be faster than any other GB rom that hasn't memory tweaks.
The 6 levels of memory are as follows:
2048, 3584, 19200, 23040, 24320, 32000
I didn't even overclocked the cpu at max, it is stock (576 i guess) and it moves very fast and smooth. If I overclock, I think it will fly as hell!
L.E: who wants an interesting watch that goes well with ICS theme, you should take a look at this UCCW skin:
Noon
Look how good it looks on my Hero:

@Ciprilik, glad you found it very fast and stable, as I do ! Check for future updates, if all goes well, I maybe implement the ICS animations in it!

Even if I want, I can't ignore the feature. You must have everything working for people who need it!
Loving it so far. Where's the Market?
Would defiantly like this if APP2EXT is fixed!!
1 question, will v6 supercharger bring any effect to this rom? good bad? overite the memory tweaks?
I don't think it's a good idea.
On currently settings it's workin smooth. When you try to change something in memory pages for more restrictive autokiller you can lost a good working multitasking. For example your sms app will be still rebooting, browser will be closed at every time when you answer the phone. I don't see a sense.
But you can try if for yourself of course.
