[Q] Updating deactivated returned-to-stock Dinc2 - Verizon Droid Incredible 2

Hi all,
I recently switched from my Dinc2 to another phone which for now shall remain nameless , I listed and sold my phone on eBay and I had it rooted, I returned the phone to stock 2.2.1 via Jcase's guide on rootzwiki. I now am having trouble getting the phone to update, to what I believe the newest Verizon build is 2.3.4? Correct? The phone is deactivated but I have a working wifi connection. Any way this is possible? Via RUU, PG32IMG, other methods? Thanks in advance.

I agree. I have had the best form of root. It is so secret I can not even share the name, I have had it since 1984. It will root all past present and future phones. The only other people that have it are the Obama/Osama twins.

Because they are 2 different phones? Just because 2 phones have the same android version, doesn't mean the exploits for root are the same. Instead of complaining about, try to help out.
Keep in mind, it took MONTHS to root the FroYo update. Just give it time
If your stuck without root because you needed a replacement, I'm sorry, that really sucks. But if it's because you broke one of the cardinal rules of rooting (do not take an OTA), then I do not pity you.

ICS kernel source is available? It does help! The only thing devs have to fix now is GSM to CDMA.

IK,R? And.... watch the "OMG!!!11! I brckd ma phone with a version uv ICS, I din no it wuz not for ma sprint phone! wtf?" threads start taking over the Q&A section this week, with all the "ICS for Galaxy S II now!" news.
The international version has very little in common with our phone beyond branding. What is good is that there have been numerous leaks for our phone that shows Samsung is close to a release candidate. After a release candidate is reached, expect about a month for it to go through all the testing and approval channels before the official ota is released, but I am sure there are quite a few "leaky" pipes in the testing and approval channel and xda will have it before then.

Secret Codes

Hi!
I just wanted to know why the secret codes aren't enabled. When making ROMS, I've never seen anything to stop them. Us it just in the old Android? It's on the Samsung Galaxy. Sorry for the stupidity.

What are you going on about?
The secret codes, like:
*#*#(number)#*#*
Some work and some don't. Depends on the make of phone, as they seem to have their own ones.

It's not. *#*#4636#*#* gives phone testing and info
In the ROMS below 2.3.5 there is only one. I have two at the moment.

GPS on OTA ICS is crap...

Had root, went back and forth between GB and ICS... had some problem unrelated to ICS and unrooted to OTA ICS to take phone in for some work
So I'm unrooted running the OTA ICS 4.0.4 and can't get GPS to work worth a flip... I've searched and all I can find is the fix where you go back to GB, get lock and then flash back to ICS... But I'm not rooted and don't wanna bother with it right now.. Is there something I can do to just make it work??
Thanks

Nah, I hadn't seen that yet... but I was hoping for some sort of fix where I didn't have to do a bunch of flashing and re-rooting...
But I'll def give this a shot if I can't find another way.. thanks

Patience man! It'll be out soon enough and then people will be asking about the Key Lime Pie update. It never ends so just enjoy the options that are there and READ the forums to learn about those options.

Yea, I might just root and flash CM10. I just wanted to stay away from the flashing game, did it on my G1 and SGS1.
