Isn't Gingerbread 3.0? why does everyone say 2.3?
Google has changed the numbering scheme it will use for the next several versions of their OS. Gingerbread is now 2.3.

The wife and I were trying to determine what the next few "flavors" would be.
Gingerbread
Honeycomb
Ice Cream... all confirmed.
Jellybean (Jell-O if they could get permission to use it)
Key Lime Pie/Kissel (KitKat if they could get permission to use it)
Lollipop
Mocha
Neopolitan
Oreo (if they could get permission to use it)
We moved on to other conversation after that.

What I've read is "soon" for the Nexus platform; possible by the end of the year for other phones.

Not that it matters. I will have to wait for my chef to cook up the next iteration of his rom to include the best features of the update. I shall be running 2.2 for a while.

Android 4.0 was already announced, and some people started to work for roms for other phones. My question is does anybody going to do a rom for Arc?

We won't see a ROM until the source code for ICS is released, Google usually releases it when the first phone gets it.
Acutally there is WIP at X10 forum. Google has released the SDK for ICS.
I saw someone who Ported ICS SDK to his Nexus one, but it was on old kernal, ICS uses the new Linux Kernal 3.0

if really could someone help me with finding a stock DHD rom with sense 2.1 android 2.3.3 flashable zip i will appreciate that.
btw you may ask why i want a stock one ! , well because it's really boring trying customs roms and everyday there comes a new one with a new look and something you may want to try , but at the end you will never satisfied because they all have some issues somewhere.

Last stock was sense 3.0
+1 Look at the thread that bananagranola send you above.
Put attention on the sense 3.0 roms that was last stock released instead of sense 2.1. In this most popular is Android Revoluton HD
Also you have a section with RUU and stock, in this i recomend the rooted version by nitr00.

Thanks mate , but i really miss sense 2.1 rom and it's skins
btw i searched in the development list but i couldn't find any sense 2.1 rom but in Football shipped roms i think there is one but i don't know what is the build number of sense 2.1 gingerbread ruu

Unfortunately, there's not much info on exactly what form these will take, or whether they'll be based on vanilla Android or HTC's Sense software.
