First of all I broke my defy LCD screen after accidentally dropping it, The LCD has a crack inside! Not on the Gorilla glass but the LCD inside.
Now im thinking of replacing it with replacement LCD's found on ebay,,
My question is, it is the same quality as the stock LCD on the defy,, will the colors and saturation and screen resolution will be the same???
Has anyone of you tried replacing it???

Hey guys, I have a G2 which has a couple of scratches on the screen. I thought that since I was already replacing the housing and spring that I could just replace the screen as well. My question is what do I replace the digitizer or the LCD?
digitizer is the glass on the front so i would say thats what you want to replace, unless the scratches are on the lcd its self witch is very unlikely.
I got a cracked screen evo but the touchscreem which perfect but the outside screen is cracked and I hate the way it looks on my evo

The digitizer is the part that picks up the touch of the screen for input. The LCD is the actual viewable screen. Is it just the glass that is broken? Is so you can probably just replace the glass unless I'm mistaken. Unless the glass and the LCD are one piece.

The hobo murderer is right. You most likely have the digitizer cracked, since that's the topmost layer of the phone. If you're lucky and the actual LCD screen under the glass is fine then you can save a pretty decent amount of money by only replacing the digitizer.

and the most important thing you should NEVER touch the lcd (even some dust is fall on the lcd, dont try to remove the dust)
if you touch the lcd, the display color of the lcd will become strange
After looking at some screen replacement videos for my HTC one X, it seems though the digitizer/screen is attached to the LCD. so when im replacing my phone's screen is there any way to preserve the LCD and replace just the digitizer?
So my lg g4 has only glass broken. Is it posible to replace just it? No lcd. If so where i can buy one and is there tutorials? Or is it beter to replace whole lcd
