Anyone else notice this happening?
I cannot get my screen to turn off by setting a time out.
Can anyone test? I'm on virus rom and can't figure this out.

the screen keeps dimming and turning off in random intervals after inacitivity, sometimes way too fast. does anyone have any idea regarding this issue?

Did you try changing the timeout settings?
yes I did.
In my case, the screen timeout keeps resetting itself to 15 seconds. I change it to 1 minute and at some point it resets itself back to the default.
I have the E980 and am really happy with it, but lately it's been acting weird where it will just randomly wake up and go to the lock screen for no apparent reason, no new texts or anything. Even if I physically press the lock button to lock it back up, it keeps happening. Has anyone else had this issue and know how to fix it? I'm also *relatively* new to android, is there some setting I don't know about? Thanks!
Hey I actually figured it out! In case anyone else has this issue, get WakeLock Detector from the Play store. It figured it out for me instantly, it turned out to be some Tron Light Bike game
Maybe I'm just an idiot, but I can't for the life of my get my screen to not timeout after 15 seconds or so. I have the "Screen Timeout" setting set to 10 minutes and I turned Smart Stay off as I believe that was the culprit originally and it doesn't matter. If I don't touch the thing for a few, the screen turns off...and it DRIVES ME NUTS!! I HATE when the screen turns off when I don't tell it to. At least when Smart Stay was on it would stay on when I was looking at it. Now it doesn't matter. No touch, no on.
Am I missing something? There HAS to be a way to get the screen to stop timing out...
Do you a have the lock screen turned on? If so, check the timing on it.

That got it. Thank you. Strange they'd essentially over ride settings between menus. Oh well. Thanks again.
I don't know about anyone else but I actually find this super annoying, and it doesn't make sense that it does this with the always on display on which I find super useful.
I have tried turning off the smart screen settings, and playing around with the options in settings but this is happening continuously. Does anyone know how to turn this off please?

You should be able to turn it off in settings/advanced features/motions and gestures/lift to wake.

Thank you so much. I was convinced it was gonna stay that way. Dont know how I missed that.
So my insight ambient display line sometimes shifts to the right of the screen. Is anyone else experiencing this, wondering if it's normal.

I think it's a feature, it shifts randomly to both sides on my phone, changes like once a minute or two.
Do you have AOD on? It jumps around like a screen saver, to save your screen from burn in
