Dre Beats HD Solo with control talk? - Samsung Epic 4G Touch

Hey guys I have a question about the control talk. I just got my new Solo HD from HSN today hey 50 bucks a month works better than 200 bucks at once ha but I have searched several sites but nothing really about our Galaxy S2. Does the control talk work with the phone? I would think it would be as simple as if the buttons dont respond then it dont work but maybe there is a small adapter for a few bucks a very small one or something that makes it work. I use my phone for my music, I have a Ipod touch but NEVER use it and hate Itunes.

Nope don't work. I have control talk on my beats studios and its a no go. Only adapter that works is a bt adapter but that defeats the purpose.

Sony MEX-BT5000 anyone?

anyone have it care to comment?
How much I want it?
I ended up going with the MEX-BT2500. It seems like it has all the goodies I'm looking for.. Only $129!!! for Bluetooth hands-free/a2dp streaming... mp3 cd's and all those other formats... and satellite interface hookup... and the add-on XM tuner was like 29.99 after rebates and discounts... wooh!
Hope it doesn't suck ... lol
I've had a MEX-BT5000 for more than a year now, and have used it with both Wizard & Kaiser devices. Its handsfree performance is very good; better than any headset I've used. BT stereo performance is pretty good. I've had some problems with multiple programs using BT audio (e.g. nav & streaming audio), but I think that's more of a WM/device problem.
What a frustrating zoo this has been... I ended up having to cancel the order for the 2500 and go with the MEX-BT5000 instead... the 2500 didn't have any preamp outputs! That simply won't do...
Liked the BT5100 but apparently there are no firmware updates for the XM Radio adapter yet... I still need my XM as primary source of music because streaming just really isn't all that reliable all the time due to network coverage while driving...
Hope the BT5000 is good.. got it for $199 plus shipping so not too bad.

Bluetooth Game Gripper

http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/bossgizmo/new-bluetooth-game-gripper-a-game-pad-for-your-pho
Just found on engadget, and looks nice, so far Supported phones:
We have successfully gotten the Bluetooth Game Gripper working on these devices and will be avidly testing it on more in the coming weeks.
I-phone 4
Ipad
DroidX
HTC Touch Pro II
Nexus one
Nexus S
Motorola Click
Galaxy S tab
With these phones, it does not work with the native bluetooth application or the Blueinput driver but we will continue to try to get them to work using other drivers
HTC Hero
HTC Evo
Samsung Epic
Palm Pixi
Now i just have a question will a custom kernel fix this issue with the bluetooth, or an asop rom?
I can connect my wii remote to my phone using cyanogenmod or miui. So I would thank this would work also.
yeah, I guess, Just pledged and asked the developer to test it out with a cynogen or miui. Hopefully it works, and this baby will be mine.
I would buy one of these for my evo as well.
I can only imagine how ridiculous my TP2 would look in this thing while the slide was open hahaha. It would be pretty convenient for the evo though, a wiimote alone doesn't have enough buttons for fighting games, and plugging in my classic controller just looks silly.
exactly, now if the nook only gets bluetooth.
Eh my wii remote works fine with the classic controller. I poker the remote. I might rig up a little dock for it but this is definitely awesome

thanks for the heads up, pledged for one, hope they make it to the 30K mark!
Been waiting on something like this, just hope they can get it to work with stock evo.
All i know is that the dev answered my question and tested the evo with cm7, works great video up now.

I was wondering if any one has a work around or same problem for our device?
im interested in seeing what can be done about this too , as i really enjoy my beats, but would like the control talk to work aswell.

AKG K451 + android

Hi, I have read the thread about AKG Q460 and android (Headset Button Controller and Klipsch Control) but does someone have experience with the AKG K451 headphones, which has also an in-line microphone, as well as volume control?
AKG says "* Remote control and microphone supported by iPod nano (4th generation and later), iPod classic (120GB/160GB), iPod touch (2ndgeneration and later), iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, iPad and iPad 2. Remote control supported by iPod shuffle (3rd generation and later). May require latest software version on device."
Can someone explain how is this working only on apples?

Cheers!

I'm sorry babicz99, but your post isn't clear to me, so I'll try to be more specific :
I'd like to know if the AKG K451 can work with Headset Button Controller, and if all THREE buttons in the K451 remote are supported and programmable via HBC.
For the record I have an Xperia Arc S, and I'd like to buy a K451 to go with it. But I need all three buttons to remain functional.
I've found some info here ( http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1767954 ) on Android key mapping files, but I'd like to avoid such manipulations if possible. So I hope HBC can be enough to make a K451 work as expected with an Android phone like my Arc S.
Can somebody please answer this question ? Thanks.

Check here:

Also, look on Play for 'headset control app' or something to that effect. It's a paid app but worth the couple bucks.
Hope that helps!
Thanks for the instructions. However, the author explains that it doesn't work on Xperia Play. Which makes me think that it won't work on my Xperia Arc S...
As for Headset Button Controller, I already know the app, I have even chatted with the developer. Unfortunately HBC can't do miracles. The problem comes from the deeper levels of the OS (Linux driver). It probably could be solved... if someone really wished to solve it.
Hi,
i've just got those headphones (akg k451) on my birthday. they sounds fantastic, i love them but microphone on headset doesn't work with my lg l9 on android i know the headphones are designed for apple devices but it was written on forums that only volume buttons don't work with android.
Please, can anyone help me? I need headset to work.
If you want these for Android then buy k452, same model but buttons work with Android.

I've got them already - they are my bday gift. I need some solution for the k451 model. I don't want to buy another headphones. The most important is to make microphone working.
I really don't know why it's not working on android. I tried it on my pc and it works.
droid uses a simple resistor ladder to differentiate button presses. İphone however is not open. Also i tried to measure iphone remote bur seemed not as simple they may have used more complex circuitry with semiconductors. But i have a nice solution for you. You can use the stock remote controller with the AKG cable. I made mine like that. Or if i was a chineese businessman i would produce replacement cables for android.

Gaming pad for HTC ONE

Hi All,
Been looking at getting a gaming controller for my htc one, i want one that holds the phone as well as lets you use a controller, so i can go and
play gta etc.. with ease.
Anyone got any experience with any ??
Seen this : http://buy.thegameklip.com/products/gameklip-casemount
Looks good but does anybody know if the ps3 controller works with htc one (there is a checker here if you have root https://play.google.com/store/apps/...Rpb3Muc2l4YXhpc2NvbXBhdGliaWxpdHljaGVja2VyIl0.
Also ive seen the mogo pro controller : http://www.engadget.com/2013/01/10/moga-pro-hands-on/
Which looks perfect but no info about a UK release, just US.
There is this as well, I have it on order myself.

PS3 controller doesn't work over BT unless you get rid of Sense. It also doesn't work over usb OTG.
Keeping an eye on your thread as I'm also interested in controller solutions

Thanks that one idea out.
I do love the moga one its looks perfect, just hoping that once it released on Monday in the US it will pop up online in places.
That bluetooth one of ebay says it has issues with android 4.0 (guessing this will mean it has issues with 4.1 as well)
Also im sure ive read somewhere that the flip at the top doesnt stretch far enough to fit a s3 in it, hence it might not fit the one!
why o why cant someone just bring out a good one and sell it world wide.
I'm hoping the Moga Pro turns out to be decent as I'll be in the US in a few Months so I'll pick one up then, unless a UK reseller pops up beforehand!

The sixaxis controller does work on sense with the sixaxis app but requires root. As for an unrooted solution, there answer would work.

I have the Moga and it worked fine on my note 2. The sixaxis never worked with me and I have tried it on the s3 and note 2.. But the moga was good for me.
I think I am going to try the Moga pro! It looks awesome.
The sixaxis app does not work with the HTC ONE due to the required bluetooth protocol not being implemented.
OTG doesn't work either. You don't even get the local bluetooth adress in the sixaxis app! :crying:
has anyone tried to mogo mini controller?
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/MOGA-Andr...ablet_eReader_Accessories&hash=item589eb24f29
Not as good as the pro but its available to buy, still havent seen the pro come up anywhere online even though been out since Monday.

I have the smaller moga controller AND the Nyko Playpad (smaller one)
the moga is nice but... it does not support any app but MOGA certified ones out of the box, meaning if its not a moga supported game it will not work, BUT! there is a "MOGA IME" around that u can install and it will allow you to use it with your non moga apps, but only with key mapping, there is no way to map touch controls. The moga runs on 2 AAA batteries
The nyko playpad is nice as well, it has the ability to be use as a controller or even a mouse for android, but their "playground" app doesn't support touch mapping yet and it doesnt have a built in mount to hold the phone, it does however come with a stand that can be used for phones OR tablets, it is rechargable
In all honesty, having tried the 2 main competitors I have both because some games wont work with one but will with the other, in the end tho, the sixaxis is probably the best bet, and even with that there is an annoying lag when playing games with any of these methods, I actually just gave up on using the controllers mostly, the only time i use them now is for my SNES and GBA emulator's

Careful
I own a moga, and it works flawlessly with my S3, but my one doesn't see the controller at all.
Seems the protocol isn't supported, once we get a rom that doesn't have sense, I'll test it out again.
Tried the droid DNA bluetooth mod as well, no luck

Does it not work over usb OTG at all? Or only before getting rid of sense? I bought one of these to use with my ps3 controller and every usb pairing, management app out there says it detects my controller, I have the HTC one but when I plug in the controller nothing happens. Do I have to get rid of sense? I don't knwo why that would interfere with it. I'm kind of pissed because other phones just plug n play and I have this amazing new top of the line phone that can't do it without deleting the main software? I don't even wanna mess around with that kind of stuff lol
I've got a regular moga... May see how it works for me. It was useless for me since my sensation is too slow to play good games now and my N7 just uses an Xbox controller with USB wire.
By far best controller for phones is the phonejoy iv had a lot now and this has lasted me over two years of hardcore emulator action it is supported by all ime apps and most emulators already it's a great option and is an exact ps3 replica but works with any phones bluetooth
