[Q] Arc S (LT18i) with FXP043 and ant+? - Xperia Arc Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello
I installed FXP043 on my Arc S with unlocked bootloader. All looked fine but i could not connect with my ant+ sensors
I downloaded Ant+ Demo and with the first start I got a message to install "Ant Radio Service". No problems so far and no errors.
I rebooted my phone (ARS says so in the description) but Ant+ Demo tried for 15 min to "enabling ANT ...". With stockROM there is no problem.
Is it, because my lt18i is recognized as lt15i?
Do I have to wait for a new release or is there anything I can do now to get this working?

Have you downloaded and installed ANT radio service?

Yes, downloaded and installed, no change, no enabled ant+

its an issue with fxp043....vibrations still not working btw...

Hm, to bad.
I think, I try it some times later again

[Q] Cannot get the newest update for my arc s?

Hi, i'm using an arc s with the 4.0.1.a.0.266 build number, the problem is when i tried updating my phone via ota, it said that "the phone gets the latest version", i tried to change to other countries' date and time, but it didn't work.
Then i tried using pc comp, it said that there is a new version 4.0.2 for my phone, but when it began to download the new version, it got an error message "could not download the phone software because of connection error.... ". i know that there is no problem with my internet connection.
Has anybody got the problem like me ?
wait for OTA to come in your country for your carrer.
Or use FlashTool to update.

i recently rooted my Xperia Play R800i to install cyanogenmod 7.1 but when i installed it, it no longer detected my SIM Card.....or any service or signal for that matter so i restored it back to Android 2.3.2 which can now detect my SIM card and everything but the Wifi no longer works and when i try to turn it on it keeps saying error
is there any advice on how to fix it? i will greatly appreciate any help
Have you tried using flashtool? I would try that with the appropriate ftf file for your phone.
I believe Your using wrong modules for your ROM or kernel

Update problem

Hey,
Yesterday, i updated my C6503 with the 253. update for MEA, because i haven't had an update from PC Companion yet, here in germany. I only excluded the baseband at the install via flashtool.
But now i can't connect to 3G. Does anybody had or have a similiar problem with his ZL?
Edit: Ok, maybe i found a solution, will try when i get home.

Had the same issue now it's stuck in loop. Can't start it just keeps going startup loop.
Stay away from update.

[Q] Wi-Fi connection with PC Companion not working, hangs during pairing.

I already tried reinstalling PCC, reinstalling the drivers, etc, but during pairing (when it asks to connect the phone, and I connect it), it always hangs after a few seconds, and the PCC windows becomes corrupted. If I unplug the phone, the program resumes working, and says the pairing has failed.
See picture. Why is this happening? How do I fix it? OS is Windows 7 x64. Phone is Xperia S stock JB .96.
i'm having the same prob i hope someone find a fix
Sony in his best Lol

Same issue. It started happening when I upgraded to Jelly Bean. Manually uninstalling and reinstalling UMBus and MTP-over-IP drivers doesn't help either.

Have the same problem for a while now.
Have Tried:
Two PC's and Two phone's. : HP and Acer
Phones: Xperia S( not working) and Xperia ZL (working).
Xperia S has no MSC MTP switch option, but my ZL has.
Xperia S has 4.1.2 and Xperia ZL has 4.2.2.
It fixed itself for me and works now, huh
I'm bumping this because I still haven't fixed the problem but I really want this capability to work.
Does this work for anyone?

Question Xperia 10 mk3 - 62.0.A.3.70 installed and no new updates

Hi there,
Just bought the brand new standard European version (without the charger in th box).
The installed firmware is 62.0.A.3.70 and I wanted to update it to the newest 62.0.A.3.131, but no luck :/
OTA (tried wifi and LTE) - the SoftwareUpdate app from Sony says "Your device already has the latest available system updates".
Connected to laptop - Xperia Companion (XC) says: "Your device is up to date".
Even tried the "Software repair" option in XC - it starts downloading something, but then the phone turns off and XC says:
Software repair error
An error occurred while repairing your device.
Please try again. If the problem persists, please contact Sony support.

Any ideas?

I downloaded XQ-BT52_Vodafone LC Not Net Locked_62.0.A.3.131 from Xpirifirm, copied all newflasher files to the same directory, booted in flash mode (hold vol- when connecting to PC) and ran newflasher.
Success....
PS. I tried "Europe - Cusomized EEA" in Xperirfirm first but for reasons unknown it failed...but "Global - Vodafone LC Not Net Loaded" worked like a charm. DS

If you want to keep your settings, just remove userdata_X-FLASH-ALL-8A63.sin before running newflasher.
I kept it because I wanted a clean flash, but I reckon dirtyflash from .79 to .131 ought to work just fine. If not, it's just to re-flash with an existing userdata_X-FLASH-ALL-8A63.sin.
Success
Fresh XQ-BT52_Customized EEA_62.0.A.3.131 and newflasher v52 worked perfectly - I also wanted a clean flash.
Thanx!
I have this problem as well, and XperiFirm only shows connection problem when I try to launch it.
Edit: XperiFirm from XDA works, flashed everything except persist and now I have the latest version.
i have the same problem with 10 III and 5 II, both Xperia don't receive updates. Annoying. Even with Xperia Companion no luck...
Only with Newflasher we can have updated firmware (thanks munjeni), but i want to understand why some devices don't receive automatically OTA or Xperia Companion updates. Please if someone knows, tell me why? how the Update-Center works? There is a possibility to solve this problem once and for all?
I mean, 2 new Xperia (700euro and 430euro) both with the same problem? Bad luck indeed.
Anyway, with the "not net locked" firmware, there is a chance to receive normally OTA updates?
