Am i the only one who misses BLN? The notification light blinks way to slow to serve as a decent notifier. I miss the LED keys at the bottom being able to be illuminated to show that you have notifications. its much easier to see from a distance also.
I tried using light flow to control the notification LED but it does not work very well IMO.

I miss it..even though we have a good led light, i think BLN is cooler...
I actually miss the Nexus S4g's hidden touch buttons until the backlight comes on more lol

We need a kernel that is bln compatible.
I made a compatible kernel... but you need a recompiled liblights.so and some other rom mods, which I'm not interested in doing.. if someone wants to take that on, ill build them the bln kernel

This would be a sweet addition to the phone. Too bad I don't know this stuff.

totallly agreed. I shot the idea to Viperboy, going to see what he has done with it if anything
I just Go SMS, it has a LED intensity feature built in, and I have it set to where the light just stays on if I have a text message.

Does that offer go to me as well? I have done some theming for the moment and actually just used your dialer buttons in my current Epic project last night. Could always use a good resource for help and you seem to have good knowledge from my perusing of other phone themes.

Can you please keep working on this, cuz I think the other dude(thomasskull) just meant attempting to flash the current one (which does not work) instead of actually doing the port himself lol, i think....and if that is the case, please port this over, especially if its something you can accomplish fairly easily

It shouldn't be very hard its just time consuming. I don't mind spending the time but there's no sense in two people doing it. I was just taking him at his word that he was porting it. Let's see if he responds and let's us know what he's doing.

Its not that hard or time consuming considering how much I'm on my phone but I themed a launcher, dialer, contacts, vending, gtalk, calculator, tw framework and framework today.. All while taking the time out if my day to talk with tmo for 2.5 hours about how their service sucks...

Just about done. Had to make a few custom images as this wasn't meant for 4g or the extra battery steps we have. Should be up tonite sometime but will need to be flashed over a deodexed rom, no compatability guarantees.

Hey, I've been looking around for this, and I've had no luck.. I have like, a miniature obsession with that white notification bar, that theme. If anyone could direct me to a SFR 1.2 theme that has that, or a way to do that, that would be amazing. Thanks.
Never seen it on an epic, I think its that way for a reason because these samoleds get screen burn in easily, my moment had burn in on the top and the right side from its stock wite noti. bar but I'm sure it took alot of time too. Just speculating tho

I guess that seems logical, but on the Simply AOSP v.3.1.2 theme, there's an option to get it.. So I figured there has to be a way.
You could always change it yourself in the UOT kitchen.

wifi is still broken, but you can still create the ROM, and then implement the change once the wifi starts working... that is why devs are putting placeholders

thats a good question. I am coming from an epic 4g and cwm is all I know how to use and seems to be the best and easiest way to customize your phone. Is there anyone working on cwm recovery for Epic 4G touch? Thanks
They are working on WiFi right now.
I am working on porting CWM, and uploading this rom.
If my rom flashes and boots fine, then I'll release it here otherwise I will wait for the WiFi fix which should be coming shortly,

You all know i am here for you, from answering questions to porting themes to doing one off touches per requests... And don't get me wrong, i am more then happy to help out and do what i can for everyone... On the other hand, id like to make time to do my own work... I cant do that if i am always flashing roms to port themes to flash back to mod another theme, to flash another rom to update another theme because said rom updated... Circle of life, i am just going to end up chasing my tail here...

So I was just messing around with my phone and I found this cool way to change your brightness settings without having to go into settings. So besically all you have to do is slide across the top bar of the phone (where the time, battery, and data signal notifiers are). But do not pull down the notification bar just slide across the bar sliding to the right turns up the brightness sliding it left turns down the brightness. It works on GB and ICS. I dont know if this is a known feature or if samsung put it in there or if its just a glitch but i just wanted to share it.
