PS3 Controller Now WORKS - Galaxy S II Themes and Apps

Before you had to be on AOSP (CM7/MIUI) to use a PS3 Controller as a gamepad on the SGS2, but now you can do it on Samsung Firmware. Download this app called Sixaxis Controller ($1.76) and then follow these instructions.

Does it double as a mouse also ? While not in game that is.. ?

I already posted about this in the accessories forum - I have a much better guide than the one at the official site here

NDS4Droid?

Hey I havent recieved my SGS II yet but was wondering if anyone has tried NDS4Droid? If anyone has does it start up? Does it run smoother with a dual core processor?
Why, do you intend to make a GSII theme or an app with the answers ?

Ok no need to be rude. It's a question about an app being asked in the Themes and Apps section. If you look around you will see other threads asking questions about apps on the market where the OP didn't intend to make an app or theme to get an answer.
And the main reason why I'm asking this is because NDS4Droid is laggy on my Galaxy S due to bugs in the app and my phone not having enough processing power. Of course I myself can't fix the bugs part but, having a dual-core phone with more processing power should help out with the latter.

For some reason I like this answer. Its totally "taken out of the blue".
But about your question:
Have you got any indication it would run slow?
isnt nds4droid still so beta that it cant even run games yet?
and what happened to n64oid, it was out and playing mario and some other games, it was at like 90% and then went MIA and fell off the map.. i cant even track down the dev, anyone know? was there ever a later version released?

Haha it's ok. And as for N64oid the dev took it off the market and said that he will put it back up in a few months. When I get my SGS II I'll test out N64oid.
I know that NDS4Droid is still beta but, I still have seen some games working on it. They have a lot of lag and that's why I wanted to see if having the more powerful phone would be better.
N64oid works v well, loving Mariocart
Well i just tried the professor leighton game and its very very slow. Mario 64 is v v v v slow. Work to be done on this app.

Maybe u have an old version of n64oid?

If you're replying to the guy above, he was talking about NDS4Doid, not N64oid.
He was playing Mario 64 DS, not the original N64 one.

Well, yes, obviously it works through the market or we'd not be downloading it - the compatibility is in reference to a list of compatible devices that the S III does not appear on. Check the app description.

So what? If you put photos, videos and music on your external SD then you shall have enough internal memory for games like this.
Also, use a file explorer to remove unneeded language files from the installation directory. Doing this saves 100mb+

1)SGS3 is among the most expensive android phones in the market, and
every app developer cannot get hold of a sgs3 to test their games out
2) its just launched, not even more than a month so just give it time guyz
Do you guys really get the message that it's compatiable?

Yes. It initially wasn't blocked on the market, and - of course - the game works fine on the S III. Assume they pulled compatibility from all but the devices they've directly tested after bad reviews from people with mid-range phones that couldn't get it working, and an update will correct it.
In the meantime, if you have access to a different, compatible device, you can always purchase the app on there and transfer the apk.

Latest Generation console controllers, GS4 functionality, and you.

***In case anyone was wondering this was formerly a question on asking if sixaxis/wii controllers would sync. Indeed they will. Since then I've turned this thread into a one stop shop on confirmation that console controllers will run on your GS4.***
So has anyone tried sixaxis and/or wii remote syncing to their S4? Even with root, the bluetooth keeps failing.. figured Sammy would've fixed this.
EDIT, 5/22/2013: Indeed, Sixaxis DOES work on the GS4 (and possibly Android 4.2.2 as a whole?), you'll just need the actual sixaxis app and a USB OTG cable.
EDIT, 5/28/2013: No ETA on Wii Remotes unless you're willing to install Cyanogen Mod or something (assuming they put the support back into 4.2.2 Android). However, it IS possible to get a wired XBox 360 pad to work with just a USB OTG cable, even on stock non-rooted firmware.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-F-zMsVbuuA -- my video on getting sixaxis to work on the stock M919UVUAMDL firmware (there's also a quick otter box review FYI)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D0g5NvtwXFs -- a video made by aLdaRiS demonstrating sixaxis functionality on the Wicked v2 custom firmware (which I believe is based off M919UVUAMDL)

Alrighty, sorry about that...
So I guess no one else got either of these to work on their S4s either.. bummer.
Guess the only thing I could do is wait for a version of Cyanogen Mod or something to come to the S4 and hope for the best.. (and yes I'm aware that they're working on CM and nightlies are out, personally I'd rather wait for a good, official, stable release before taking the plunge. also I know not to ask for ETAs or when it's out, etc)
so far no.. I tried the sixaxis app as well and it didn't work for me... we r just playing the waiting game... idk abt the wiimote tho... I tried a moga controller and it worked fine.... I might get a moga pro...

Stock firmware on Android 4.2.x anything doesn't have the BT bits to get sixaxis or Wii Remotes to work.. doesn't matter if it's this GS4, the note 2 (when it's upgraded of course), HTC one, Nexus 7 (and that's as stock of Android as it gets, mind you), etc
