Titanium bumper for Xperia arc (looks sleek and no drop worries) - Xperia Arc Accessories

this japanese site has the best quality accessories for Xperia in general
i have recently ordered this bumper for my Arc and i am pleased with it. looks sleek, sexy, unique and i have gotten great compliments when people saw it. also it has a high quality feel to its hold. it comes in 6 colors
the price is high but try working your charm with the sellers.
note 1) i have no bonds with the sellers so dont ask me for help
note 2) if you order , go easy on the screws and no need for muscles or else you will mess up the screws and have to customize your own or order them from the ebay seller for 10 dollars
this bumper keeps the back and front revealed and maintains the curve of the arc.
whether you think its nice or ugly, believe me you would rather put this on the phone than seeing scratches and chips on your phone.
im only giving my opinion and everyone has their own

Thanks for sharing...

its good quality and its durable..
however phone got bigger
still thinking about it
search from the net and found this..

Looks ridiculous imo and not sure it can be classed as sleek given how much extra it adds to the phone.

i respect your opinion but,
some people drop their phones many times during the day; in a few weeks the phone will look ridiculous with all the scratches and maybe even cracks which will make a person hate their phone and cant afford to change.
so this would be sleek in a way for the protection you get.
it does add a little more weight and a little width only on the edgesbut still i get a decent grip on it.
the otter box is not that attractive(people just got used to seeing them) and it adds so much weight and bulkyness to phones, yet most iphone users use them for protection.

i know it will not be sold here locally
if i can see it and try it on my unit ill probably take the black one
silver arc and silver bumper makes it more bigger

Have to agree, looks a bit over the top and hides the sleek look of the phone
Could be a bit like Marmite this one, but I'll be sticking with my leather case for now

I can count on one hand how many times I've dropped mine, so I guess if people are ridiculously clumsy this would be perfect for them.

This is why I don't have any case on mine at all, I just double up on the screen protector and that does me.

Yeah I think it looks ugly. I wish there were some bumper case like the iPhone.

With that u can drop your phone all the time on the floor

I just have a normal rubberised case and 2 screen protectors on and that works perfectly fine, and my case only adds a few millimetres not a few centimetres

looks wicked....
ouch...the price....

This seems a little excessive, although no doubt will make the phone pretty much indestructible.
But.......how many people here bought the Arc because of how it looks? I did - I would have gone for another HTC (way back from the wizard - that long!) if I wanted best performance etc.
This just completely destroys the look of the phone IMO

Just bought one of these from Japan via Ebay:

I guess I must say that I'm not a fan of the case. Totally destroys the looks of the phone. Plus I would hate to hold that next to my ear and talk.

I got this one from ebay. It's almost identical, with minor aesthetic differences (aside from the obvious soft-touch plastic). Definitely not rubber, but feels a lot like the D900 for those that remember it. Samsung branding doesn't seem like it'll chip off easily, but I just got it. Ordered on the 11th, received from Hong Kong on the 29th. ~$9. Definitely a worthy replacement to the glossy defaults.
Feel free to request shots from specific angles!

Original on right side or bottom in all pictures. Thickness feels the same, but as you can see, the 3.5mm jack isn't as round as the original (very minor, no functional difference).
Not trying to be a dushbag but it does not look half as sexy as the original one.

i have the same thing. i guess its a matter of preference, but i like it twice as much as the stock...the stock looks and feels like cheap plastic...and mixed with the light weight of the device, its almost toyish
again, just my opinion, but the flat black gives it that needed touch to actually feel like a top shelf smartphone

Precisely my sentiments, bdroc (lol, y'know my user name for a while during grade school was D-Roc?). I saw the original as tacky and gaudy, with the glossy plastic prone to scratches and looking like an overall cheap piece of crap. There were other batt plates, but I chose this one precisely DUE TO the lack of any GS branding. I wish I could remove ALL the branding, front and back. Samsung skips an opportunity to whore their namesake. eBay has replacements with all kinds of branding: the original Vibrant, Galaxy S, fake Google-certified, etc.

Yeah, and it's probably better material too. It's nonsensical that Case Mate doesn't just make the batt plate instead of making a "barely there" cover that's essentially the same thing but a mm or two bigger in some places.
But you definitely know what I'm talking about when I say the original back covers are stupid (wish I had a more sophisticated description but "stupid is as stupid does"). It doesn't matter if other people like to see the reflection of your phone, because you're the one who holds it and sees it up-close on a regular basis. The soft-touch gives the illusion of a much more solid phone and repels all fingerprints.
The one on the left i made and the one on the right was the one i bought on ebay.

Slim case with a kickstand.

Can any of you great gentlemen recommend a slim case with a kickstand from your own experience. I would love something that retains the GS///'s natural beauty.
Thanks in advance guys!

I use the above case. It does not add a whole lot to the phone as far as size or weight goes. The kick stand seems pretty sturdy as well. The rubber on the outside gives the user the ability to grip the phone without worry of having it slip through your hands. The buttons on the case protrude a bit making them easy to find by touch.
All in all a great case and it looks good with the white GS3.

The Official Samsung Mesh case is probably your best bet -- Although it doesn't have a kickstand built in, all you need is a quarter, and boom, you got yourself a 4.8 HDTV.

You can also possibly pick this phone up at AT&T as I almost did - Unfortunately, I didn't think the kickstand was very sturdy and winded up passing on it. I believe it is either $30 or $35 at the store I went too.

LOL, looks like I got ripped off! Haha. I purchased mine about a week ago and I'm not even sure if it's left china.. Scratch that, shipped through LA today. Should be here in a day or two and I'll take pics. Don't know if I'll have my phone by then or not though! Haha.
I used the case mate on my Epic 4G touch and it worked well BUT it is not slim, I tried the one for the S3 and it is just as fat. Obviously it depends on your opinion of what is fat or not but I felt like it was fairly bulky. I currently am thinking of getting a tcp speck case from AT&T and attaching a flygrip to it. If I do that I'll post again. Even though I have Verizon it seemed like the AT&T stores had best selection of cases around me (versus Sprint and Verizon plus a couple case stores, just fyi).

Any body used an Urban Armor Gear case before?

Hey there
I was wondering if anyone had tried the Urban Armor Gear case for the HTC One? From the looks of it, it's fantastic and nothing like I've seen before which makes it not only great looking but also very unique. The black/white mix is just amazing and I have read great reviews about the durability and quality of the case, however I'd like to hear your opinions about it since I will be dishing out A LOT of money to order it online (shipping, taxes and customs) and also waiting a long time to receive it.
This is the one I am talking about:

I got the HTC Double Dip Flip cover when I first got the device and I like it, however I seldom use the kickstand feature and in all honestly it adds a lot of bulk to the device. When I take it out of the case, I feel like I am using a different phone. The case does help, though, when it comes to the phone heating up and such from use which can make it a bit uncomfortable as I have very pale, sensitive skin.
You don't have to have used it on the HTC One, but perhaps maybe a Samsung, an iPhone, etc. since I know all the cases will have similar qualities, price tags and bulk.
Any advice and/or information would be appreciated.
Thank you!

It should be noted that I have the black one and noticed that pictures are also washed out a bit when using the flash... I think it has more to do with how close the case fits around the flash/camera.
Otherwise, it's a fantastic case, and probably my favorite case of all time. It looks and feels very well made.
Thanks for the replies. I will check out the dedicated thread.
Regarding the flash issue, I am not much of a photographer, in fact I rarely ever take pictures, and when I want I could always just take the case off until I am done, so that's not a big deal. Have you thought about cutting into the flash area, though, so that it wouldn't be covered like the camera isn't? I am sure that could work.
I have the black version and it's awesome. Just get it.

Take a picture in a dark enough environment that the flash comes on, then take the case off and take the exact same picture. You will see the difference. At least I can see a difference. It isn't bad, but noticeable.

Ideal case, except for the price

So this is the ideal case that I can find for the P9 - it doesn't cover up the Leica camera branding, which if I'm honest, is important to me. Plus it's leather, supposedly real leather.
http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/16209523...49&var=461055737790&ssPageName=STRK:MEBIDX:IT
But at $62 Australian - it's just a bit too expensive I think.
I just love the fact that the Leica branding is visible though, brown leather with black camera bar with Leica on it... so nice!! Interested if other people have seen similar cases or if people think I'm being to vain!
Anyways I think I love it!
edit: I just remembered when I purchased my Huawei P9 i recieved a $50 voucher for use on ebay!! I think I just found out what I am going to use it on! Happy days!!!
The pictures in this item description are identical - the price is not I'm thinking about buying from Aliexpress. Just a tip for you before you part with way too much for the same cover

bloody out of stock...lol
Got mine today.
Sorry to say but imo It's NOT worth $62AUD. It is nice, and does smell like leather, the cutouts for fingerprint reader and cameras are decent. But it does add some rather large bulk to the phone, and when handling the phone you got the weird sensation that the phone itself "swims" around in the case (this is rather minor though, it's not like the phone can't stay put inside the cover).
Semi satisfied.
Oooooh hmmmmmmmm now I'm half way to sad. It looks so slim and sleek in the pictures. Sigh
Positives though;
The feel of the cover is great, I do believe it's some form of actual leather. And like you, I do too care for the Leica logo, the cover smartly does not obscure this part
The top of the phone is covered too, which is actually rather rare in these types of covers to my knowledge (I have 5 different snap-on covers like these, and they all just cover the back and sides).
The vol./power buttons are covered, but the action is nice - very responsive and easy to click. And it'll be easy to do small cuts with a scalpel or something, should you get tired of the covered buttons.
Hope it cheered you up somewhat
I got my cover today! It looks like an official Huawei cover from all the packaging. It fits great for me. I am not sure of the brown color but think I might try to get it a little darker. It's leather alright, I'm planning to test some acetone and oil to get it darker.
I love the extra size, I am team with very long fingers so it makes it easier for me to grip and use!

I have the same one and I agree - I am not convinced by the shade of brown they chose. It's not the most appealing, if you know what I mean! Would be interested in hearing if you have any success in changing the colour.
Ok so I'm figuring the process out but basically get a rough cotton cloth and some nail polish remover and rub it till the brown stuff starts to ball up and come off.
The keep rubbing!
Then get some coconut oil and rub it in with a different cloth. Keep applying more and more. The coconut don't come off or leave a residue on your hands or clothes. You can see the areas that I removed more of the original finish on my phone. I'm going to go back and use more acetone (nail polish remover) and oil it up again.
It's way easier to rub with the phone in the case. Just be careful with the acetone!
Anyways I am going to go back and repeat the process but this time knowing that it works. It should come up real nice, you can see the difference between the 2 pics, I'm excited for rougher, darker look to the case. I will update after I've had more time to do this properly, I just tried it in my lunch break today to see if I was crazy or if this method would work.
Interesting "case mod", wonder if I could do something similar to my black version (rough it up so to speak).

I purchased this case from eBay for £3.99 - and its not as nice as the pictures. It's quite thick, and makes the back of your phone seem quite "fat" as it magnify's everything.
I got this one
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Retro-Vinta...hash=item464fe35a05:m:mw4vYK22VyRZjF8mee2aTUQ
Will wait to see how it feels and looks, if I'm not satisfied I'll probably buy the "replica" . Really like the apple leather case so I hope it looks and feels the same.
Here is the case... I am very pleased with the aging effect from acetone and coconut oil

Take a look at this new Spigen case!

This one looks really nice. But it's in another language. Can anyone translate the details. What I really want to know is where and when can i get it?
https://youtu.be/1QWv81uy3-o
Not much to translate really. I am currently learning Korean so I'll explain. Anyways, he basically says this new case is super protective and has a premium feel to it. It will cost around 90$ (US Dollars, or 99.000 Korean Won), so it is rather pricey. You attach the case like many other cases (I also have a similar Spigen case I bought here in Korea), by using glue strips that are on the inside of the case. There are foam pads/cushions on the inside to protect the backside from damage as well and to absorb heat. The entire case itself is also made of a TPU material of course, and the hinge is covered as well by the same material. The case weighs a total of about 57.6g. The hinge cover/protection slides away when opening the case, and he said that it makes it kinda a little thick. The case itself is not slippery at all, and the bump from the hinge cover makes it so that the Phone cannot lay down on a flat surface while being entirely flat. This also makes it so that the hinge cover is in the way for everything when the Phone is open, so you cannot use it on a Wireless Charging Stand for example, or a stand to watch movies, etc. The hinge cover is also kinda in the way when you open the Phone, if you have your fingers there. He really likes the case, but he cannot entirely recommend it because of the hinge cover being almost too thick. Other than that, he loves that it really provides good protection for the Phone. Everything else isn't really necessary to translate as he isn't really talking about anything important, he is only reviewing it really. Besides, it is a protective case like any other, so not much to talk about anyways.
And he didn't answer your question about "When or where" actually. He only mentioned the price. I however already can buy it here in Korea online right now for 89.000 Korean won. But when it comes to your country, I can't say. Also, the reviews people have given the product (it seems like it has been out for a while now), range anywhere from 3 to 5 stars, but mostly people give it 5 stars. Basically, I would recommend you this case IF you want a really protective case and can live with the deficits that this case provides.

I enjoy it, adds bulk. But what case doesn't? The one draw back for myself. I work construction. I like to use my Note 10+ for work. (fark yeah I still rock that mother fluffer!) It's not easy to swap to mah ZF2. The inner adhesive pads are good for a couple of tugs. After that, start looking for a replacement.... Unless... Gonna check out that Spigen warranty. :highfive:
Mine shipped today..
Im getting the spigen tough armor not the pro one instead because I somewhat don't like not being able to lay my phone flat because of the hinge protection.
You can get one of the wallet cases that will fold flat; these usually don't attach to the top at all just as a wallet with a non folder. I've got one on order but cant comment on it as it's not here yet.
FYI.....I placed one of the slim armor pros into my cart at spigen.com....a day went by and they emailed me a 15% off code.
I received it today ...very nice build and overall first impressions a definite go ..as with other cases the left side edge panel I'm unable to activate from left side ... otherwise everything else a winner ..
