Garmin Nuvi windshield mount works - Samsung Epic 4G Touch

I was surprised how perfect the fit was so I had to post. No interference with any buttons. Not loose or tight at all. Best of all, IMO, no bulkiness. This forum has been very great in helping me decide on accessories for my new phone. Don't know if there is a way to get it by itself, but hope it can help. I am not allowed to post pictures in this forum yet but I posted them on PPCGeeks Epic Touch 4G Accessories forum. Will update this post with pics once I am allowed.

Yes, it fits perfectly with tpu case on or probably any case that is not too thick. I like it so much I ordered several to mount it at home and at work using the suction cup and disk. I got the $5 on Ebay that has all the mounting option. Without the phone and just the vent mount, it doesn't block the vent much either and it is easily removable.

$4 on amazon

awesome fine. i, too, have the 255w. though i use the dash mount. so its the perfect find for me, since thats what i wanted. gonna try it out.

Will it fix with just the phone without the case? I'm one of those that don't use case. Thanks.

I doubt it, doesn't seem it would be wide enough.... but I'll try to verify for you. in using the body glove case now, its a bit thinner than the toy and seems to just make it ok.

Can anybody post a details/links and pictures with phone in. Thank you.

[Q] Slide out keyboard & integrated case

I have a few of my users (yes IT manager here) asking if there is a physical keyboard for the s3 that is integrated with a case. They want the equivalent of this:
http://www.amazon.com/Ultra-thin-Sliding-Bluetooth-Keyboard-iPhone/dp/B0054KMWF2/ref=sr_1_3
They all know that any bluetooth or keyboard can work with it, they just wanted an integrated version as they prefer a bulkier s3 vs separate items.
I've looked around a bit and couldn't find anything, does anyone know where I might be able to find one? Or perhaps know a company that is making one now?
Thanks!
There are none :/
Sent from my SGH-T999
I think there are..but no idea how you would get one.
http://www.ele-boat.com/Details.asp?ID=1
I've often wanted something like this when I need to answer a bunch of emails when I'm out and about. There are a bunch for iphones, but I've yet to see one to fit an Android device. It seems like if any phone would get one, the GSIII might. I've also wondered why nobody can seem to make the slider keyboard with an interchangeable TPU case to fit different models.

Yeah...found a site that has that one but its weird...its like you have to place a bulk order or something
Wow I sent a email a keyboard for this would be perfect

On eBay I came across this,
it's not really fit like the slider you mentioned though.
You know why you can't find one?
because it would make the camera useless, and severely diminish the speaker.
no-one has made a small enough keyboard to not cover them. the closest anyone has gotten is that computer generated render, in the previous posts that is not for sale.
it WILL happen.. just wait.

That's neat, but i wonder if the "hinge" can hold itself up
---------- Post added at 02:44 PM ---------- Previous post was at 02:43 PM ----------
maybe someone needs to make a Gameklip-style thing, but for holding these micro-bluetooth keyboards (patent pending )
What would seem more practical and allow use of everything is the keyboard folding down. When it is closed laying against the screen with a flap or something separating keyboard and screen. You works have a full keyboard and since Bluetooth the keyboard could be used with other phone with the same case. Any case makers watching here... do it live. I've thought about it for over a year. I also have a good idea for amplifying phone speakers with battery any bulk. It works to made myself one.

It probably will (the hinge) hold, got a case from ebay and it was daaamn tight, surprisingly, it is still holding pretty good.

Like these?... http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_trk...kw=galaxy+s3+keyboard+case&_sacat=0&_from=R40
The only concern I'd have about these is that they seem to just have a "soft" hinge (ie. just the material), so it probably wouldn't support itself. Something like this would be great though if it was a hard case (think Nintendo DS), as it would protect the screen when closed.

Do you have a link? or to a similar one?
I hate physical keyboard that is soo old school. It's 2012 and we need to be up to date with technology.
Ignore the trolls. Any word on finding this sliding case for US purchase?
Sent from my SCH-I535 using Tapatalk 2
Not a good answer, but you can get a simple OnTheGo USB cable, and plug any USB keyboard in. Handy if you are going to do a lot of work on the phone. Not that you would carry a USB keyboard around.
FYI ele-boat says it'll be available for purchase November 10th.

That is one thing I really miss coming from a MyTouch 4g Slide. A keyboard case for the S3 would be awesome. I'm going to keep an eye out on this thread and see what people find!

Can you buy just the back plate and side case?
quickly buy insurance over the phone.
I already have it but this is a cosmetic defect that it won't cover. The phone still works just fine. I just need a new backplate and side part. Where can I buy those?
My phone almost slipped out my hands already 3 times. I'm definitely looking for a case.

Alternatively you could maybe cover it up with something like:

I have that case on mine, I'm not a fan. It doesn't cover the bottom or top and it's pretty hard to get to the volume and power buttons since they are blocked from the top edge. I'd recommend something else. I just bought a metal "bumper" case that goes around the whole rim and has rubber button extensions that stick out of the frame from ebay. (there are versions with no rubber thingies which would pose the same problem - hard to get to the buttons, so I'd avoid those too)
(I couldn't quote the link since I'm not at 10 posts yet)

I have this case and it's amazing... it's incredibly slim so it doesn't add much weight and bulk. The texturized back adds a nice grip and the front of the case comes up just enough to raise the glass off of surfaces when the phone is face down.
I saw parts on ebay for it already. The back cover and maybe the side?

True but I really need a car dock so I ordered it anyway. I'll let you know how it is. It seems that both from Amazon and eBay they all ship from Korea so it will probably be a while.

More expensive alternative: http://www.wpcentral.com/review-nokia-cr-200-wireless-car-charger-part1
I had one like this for my Rezound but it sucked pretty badly. The phone holder part was always detaching from the arm part, especially in hot or cold weather due to the plastic parts that didn't fit snuggly enough in the first place.

I saw that one too but I remember reading about the N4 having issues with the Nokia Qi charger due to them not following the standard or something, so I figured this may have that issue as well.

Some people seem to have had luck with it but it sounds like there are issues for the most part. The other one you posted may not have these issues but worth being aware of I suppose.

Owl Charger?
My N5 just shipped, so I pulled the trigger and ordered this one from Owl. They should come around the same time. I've not seen much in English about this company, but enough reviews on Korean sites for me to take a chance. Anyone else ever tried or heard of this company?

Thanks, I found that really large thread on the N4 forums. It seems hit or miss and kinda depending on what you're looking for. I'm hoping that being here in Korea, I'll maybe get some support from the manufacturer  I'll update or maybe do a review once I get it. Maybe.
My experience with using a wireless charger in the car (one mounted on the windshield) doesn't work to well in the summer time. Would charge fine on the drive to work in the morning before sun rise. Not so on the drive home in the heat of the afternoon.

Xiomi? Hidden button band

I just got one and as you can see from the photo it will break the back. The watch is not resting on anything You can see erne first links are trapped inside of the back. It's a great strap and I'll probably file the back to suit it. I won't be selling the watch, anyway I can get a new back from eBay. This band is not designed to fit the watch as claimed. It's very nice, heavy and a great finish though

I just want to say that this is an AMAZING case. It is super duper inexpensive and its best feature is that it does not take any fingerprints. Love it!
Protects your phone and feels amazing in the hand.
