Q: Issues mounting sd cards - EVO 4G Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Ok guys i have a few friends who are having trouble mounting their sd cards. One is with sprint except they are using an LG Optimus and the other is with AT&T using their galaxy s series Captivate. I know this is the wrong Q&A for this question. But no one will respond to the question in anoth forum. The captivate is fully rooted running the May 2011 version of cyanogenmod nightlies. The Optimus isnt rooted at all and the same issue happened. Does anyone know what could cause the phones to do this?

V6 SuperCharger

I know I currently use this with my EVO 4g and it does wonders for scrolling speed and memory. Will this even be necessary for the E4GT? Maybe the 3g speeds but not sure about the memory scripts and kernels scripts.
It probably couldn't hurt but just wondering if you think it will even be needed (if you don't already run this with your current device YOU NEED TO!)
I know the V6 SuperCharger script did wonders on my CDMA Hero. I can't wait to upgrade to the Epic Touch on the 18th. Now only if it could be rooted by the time I get mine. (2 days prior to the release)

[Q] I just down(or up lol)graded to EC05

Rooted and what not. Looking to flash a rom and what not. If anyone remembers my 16gb sd card not working a few months ago it's magically working now, go figure. I think it's allergic to gingerbread. So yeah the question is which ROM and mods etc for EC05 are the best for speed and reliability? Going to wait for a few opinions before flashing. Thanks in advance
I used to use midNIGHT when i was on EC05 when it was first dropped on us but I don't know how updated the others are.. Please leave links if you're gonna help!

I just went back to midNight when I was done playing with the GB leaks; still runs great. Every so often SU wants to update. I don't futz with it. With GB source nearly here (and the new dump now here) they'll be new GB ROMs soon and they'll have whatever the new SU wants.
I dropped froyo the second we got a custom gb source kernel. Never looked back

Your Favorite Rom!?

I would like to know what roms you guys are using and why? I'm currently on CM 7.1 and have been for awhile now but now my phones been messing so I reflashed it but it only helped for a day or so.
If you do happen to post please keep in mind that I would like working Wifi, gps, and to be able to install apps on sd card.
I really liked the CR back in the day but it didn't have app2sd so I got rid of it.
Any and all feedback greatly appreciated!!

i'd recommend XM8, it's a moded CM7 but optimized for performance. Add Blu Magic on top of it and flash DarkTremor or data2ext and you have one heck of a phone.
if you're sick of vanilla, i'd suggest Salsa slide, but read the threads a bit on how to fix the landscape mode first.
I second the recommendation for XM8. It's slick!
Same here with XM-8. It's been my daily driver since I've had the phone (which has been for like 3-4 months now). I've tried others but I've never had any random reboots or other little problems with it. Everything works. I removed unused system apps and just upgraded from my old 4gig class 2 sd card to an 8gig class 10...SMOOTH as ever with data2ext applied!
There's no "perfect" sense ROM yet, but I like the Salsa Slide ROM too
Awesome! Good to know I have good taste haha. Since nobody responded soon enough I looked around and found XM-8 as well and have been using it for like almost 2 months now. Thank you for your input guys much appreciated!

XM-8 is defiantly the way to go
*Definitely

V6 Supercharger

If you guys know what V6 supercharger is and picked #9 setting
http://forums.androidcentral.com/ep...22369-acs-how-run-v6-supercharger-script.html
is your phone faster or slower than before? it seemed a bit slower but after a couple minutes im not sure if theres a difference
Well since I was referenced in that write up... the settings listed were for OG Epic if you are a heavy multitask user. The ET4G has a much larger memory and v6 has been updated many times since then. When I used it on my Epic, it benchmarked basically the same but tasks/apps remained open until you killed them. Also, before the Epic got the official GB update, we had issues with RAM leaks causing a soft reboot and that basically stopped those from happening. I haven't even tried the updated version (or any version) on my ET4G because it handles everything I throw at it with no lag

LOL wow i didn't even notice it was for epic 4g not the touch and yea i figured if I cant see a difference why try to improve
edit:
Never saw a 1000hp setting? only options 1 - 17??
Its for any Android.
See sig for link to download latest versions
It may be for any Android, but while I couldn't function without it on my OG Epic, I see no need for it on the Touch at this point. The phone's available RAM is far better and the speed of the device is at a level that's well beyond what Supercharger V6 was able to do to the OG Epic. I don't see any reason to use it, at least for now. But boy was it invaluable before.
Good thing that I've thrown in lots of other goodies then

What all affects MHL?

Currently on AOKP Dizzythermal's 5 Nov nightly - basically milestone 1 with like four more merges. Leankernel 4.5.0 exp 3 - undervolted. V6 supercharger installed.
Last time I used MHL I was on AOKP 4.1.1 and whatever leankernel was out three weeks ago. It worked then. Just can't figure out why it won't work now....
