GALAXY S 2 TMOBILE frequency. - T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy S II SGH-T989

Does galaxy s 2 tmobile support 850mhz frequency in 3g?
I saw gsmarena that they updated the details and it is supported now, is it true?

This phone supports:
2G: 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900
3G: 850 / 1700 / 1900 / 2100
Anywhere else that says otherwise is wrong. This is what's printed on the box.

[Q] How to swich between bands?

I need to swich bands to get 3G speeds on my unlocked XPERIA PLAY (R800i), could you help me with this??
It can't be done, on smartphones the radio frequency is hard coded into the CPU chipset, so there is no way to change it.

Are you sure? Acording to GSM Arena it supports the following bands:
-2G Network: GSM 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900
-3G Network: HSDPA 900 / 2100
HSDPA 850 / 1900 / 2100 / 800
And the bands that are currently working on my phone are: GSM850, GSM950, GSM1800, GSM1900

Notice how there are two different HSDPA combinations? Thats because its talking about two different models. I know its a pain I had to get the HSDPA 850 model (R800i) to use Telstra in Australia and its actually more expensive.
I have the same problem u.u

[Q] T989 or Galaxy Nexus (antenna & radio stack flexibility, using on other carriers)

[Q] T989 or Galaxy Nexus (antenna & radio stack flexibility, using on other carriers)
Hi,
I bought a T-Mobile branded T989 Samsung Galaxy S2. Now I'm hearing that there are limitations on the radio/network stacks pertaining to high speed access on ATT/MVNO networks.
So my question: Pertaining only to network/radio access,
* Is the Galaxy Nexus more flexible than the T989 (for a non rooted/base install ICS, 4.0.4)?
* Is the Galaxy Nexus more flexible in hardware, that is, if a new ROM is installed after rooting?
My desire is to get on ATT's network (maybe Straight Talk), because ATT has better coverage where I live.
I can't determine what radio/networks each have.
Nexus maybe?
* GSM/EDGE/GPRS (850, 900, 1800, 1900 MHz); 3G (850, 900, 1700, 1900, 2100 MHz); HSPA+ 21
* GSM 850 / 1900 ; WCDMA 850 / 1700 / 1900
T989 maybe?
GSM 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900; WCDMA 850 / 1700 / 1900 / 2100

does anyone invent a band rewrite tool ?

hi there ,
i wanted to ask if there is some tool anywhere that can rewrite htc one version from gsm to t-moblie et
that if someone buy accidentally wrong version that doesn't support the bands ,he can change them ,so it could work?
for instance:
2G Network GSM 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900
3G Network HSDPA 850 / 900 / 1900 / 2100 - EMEA, Asia
LTE 700 / 900 / 1800 / 2100 / 2600 - Asia
to
2G Network GSM 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900
3G Network HSDPA 850 / 1900 / 2100 - AT&T
LTE 700 / 850 / 1700 / 1800 / 1900 / 2100 / 2600 - AT&T et...
thanks ahead.
Its not possible. If the bands are not supported in hardware, there is no way to magically make it work with software.
There are some isolated instances of bands being "hidden" in software (but in fact supported in hardware) and folks making the band accessible by flashing a different radio. But such cases are very rare, and flashing radios not meant for the device is also very risky, as its a great way to truly brick the phone.

[Q] Sprint M8 only using GSM data in Hong Kong

Just got to Hong Kong and bought a prepaid sim for my sprint m8. Data and voice is working, but data only seems to be GSM, and not 3g or 4g. Any advice? Thanks.
Find out what carrier you are using with that prepaid sim.
Then see what frequency bands and protocols are used,
then match that up with your phone.
If i had to guess i would say your missing the right frequency bands or you have the right band but not matching up with the right protocol.
i would use GSMarena.com http://www.gsmarena.com/htc_one_(m8)_cdma-6233.php to get the phones band info. Since you know its a Sprint M8 that will tell you what you need to know.
2G Network GSM 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900 - Sprint, Verizon
CDMA 800 / 1900 - Sprint, Verizon
3G Network HSDPA 850 / 1900 / 2100 - for Sprint
HSDPA 850 / 900 / 1900 / 2100 - for Verizon
CDMA2000 1xEV-DO - for Sprint, Verizon
4G Network LTE 800 / 1900 / 2600 - Sprint
LTE 700 / 1700 / 1800 / 2100 / 2300 / 2600 - Verizon
