android.process.acore FC When Trying to Add a New Contact - T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy S II SGH-T989

Today I tred to add a contact to my phone. Each time I would tap the plus button to add the contact it would error and FC the phone application. I decided to do a factory reset real quick, opened the phone and added my friend's contact info before I had restored my Titanium backup. It worked fine.
Once I restored the backup of the phone, I went into the phone application and tried adding a contact again and it was again FCing. What I need to know is what file that has to do with my contacts I need to not reinstall? A phone isn't a phone if you can't add new contacts.
T-Mobile SGS2 running BeastMOD V1.

Just in case anyone else has this problem, it was the ICS Google+ application causing the problem. One I uninstalled it I was able to add contacts again. Sorry to waste a thread.

you can install the proper version from Android Market, that one works fine
only the ICS version causes that bug
i encountered it too myself on my old phone

[Q] Wave secure account is gone

Hi all,
I'm a frequent rom updater, and i always install wave secure to restore and backup my SMS messages and such. Now i just installed it again on Leedroid 1.7b and i have to re-register. i go to the site, and my account was just gone. and with it my backups.
Anyone had this happen to them as well, know what caused it, or better yet how to fix it?
I had the same issue today I thought it was because of using Market Enabler but now I'm not sure
Same just happened today when I switched to a different ROM.
Happened to me too.
Well you will get it back just go true to registration again on your phone. And type in the same pin and phone number as before . Then its all good

[Help] Reflex.S 2.0.1 + Titanium Backup

Hey guys,
I never had issues with flashing before and was using Leedroid 3.0.2 since today.
I decided to try out the new Reflex.S ROM Vers. 2.0.1. cuz it has the new Sense interface and I'm really fascinated by it.
In short: I flashed it and the recommended radio afterwards. The system booted successfull and seemed to be running stable.
Now like everybody of you surely expected, I did a recover via Titanium Backup afterwards. As soon as the recover has been finished i was getting force closes of android.acore and other modules.
I reflashed 3 times and tried to find out what might be the reason for the occuring errors. I was able to make out at least that it had to do with the import of my old contact settings (I recovered the data of contacts exclusively).
I'm sure that other modules might force the same error, but the most important one for me is the one of my contacts, as u might guess.
Does anybody of u have an idea what I might do to get all of my contacts into the Reflex.S ROM?
And please dont tell me, i got to reflash to leedroid and write down all numbers by hand
I'd really appreciate any help!
Save your contacts to your Google Account and sync with Google. It should backup your contacts (you can check when you log onto Gmail but in the browser). That's what I have done so when I change rom, I just sync my contacts back an voila.
Thx for the first advice.
Afaik I'm not able to sync my contacts to my google account after they've been created as "contacts saved on the phone". I would have to add every single of them again and then change the save-destination.
Am I right? Or maybe wrong?
Yes, you would have to add them all in again as a Google contact. Yes it is a pain but once it's done it's done. You could try to export your contacts then import them back.
Does anybody have another idea how to get my adjustments of sense, including my contacts, from a titanium backup of leedroid 3.0.2 Rom into the Rom of Reflex.S without any errors?

[Q] HeyTell App Issue.. $$$ for a working fix...

I installed HeyTell a few ROMs ago (I was running Decks at the time) and I switched over to MikG and when I restored it from Titanium Backup everything seemed to work OK, except I noticed that the Background Notifications either didn't work at all or were really late. So I uninstalled and restored a backup from MyBackup Pro .. same result. I flashed Synergy a few days later and noticed it prompted me to restore my apps / data from Google Backup / Restore (I later confirmed with aamikam that he does remove this from his ROMs) and so I told it to restore them, it started downloading and installing HeyTell automatically and when I opened HeyTell I had to go through the initial setup, but all my contacts were there (no previous messages were backed up.. just the contacts) and Background Notifications work flawlessly.
So after chatting with aamikam he informed me he removed GoogleBackupTransport.apk from /system/app and said if I pushed it over to /system/app right after flashing MikG (before 1st boot) it would prompt me to rstore.. which it did, but nothing every downloaded.
MIUI has GoogleBackupTransport.apk in system/app but it doesn't download anything after setting up my google account.
So.. now to the $$$ part.. I would love to have the freedom to flash whatever ROM I want and have HeyTell background notifications work flawlessly and my contacts be there (dont care about messages).. just to be clear.. right after installing HeyTell and restoring the data (from TB) it seems background notifications work, play around with the phone for like 10 mins or so without launching heytell again and test it.. you shouldn't get a notification.
I am willing to pay anyone who can figure out how Google Backup / Restore works with heytell to only restore the contacts and keep Background notifications working. Or if you can get the GoogleBackup working on MikG and MIUI so it will download Heytell and restore the contacts to it.
Thanks in advance..

[Q] No Contact list

Hi Everyone. I damaged my Sprint Galaxy S 3 and it was replaced under the insurance plan. 3 days before damaging the phone I backed the Rom up with Clockworkmod Rom Manager. When I receiving the replacement phone I compared the version and build that each phone had installed on them and they were the same. I proceeded to root the new phone and installed Clockworkmod Rom Manager. I then restored the rom from the damaged phone to the new phone. Everything went OK and worked fine after restoring the ROM. I fell asleep happy. The next morning I woke up to an alert that my phone had a new update from 4.1.1 to 4.1.2 so I installed the update. After the update finished I tried to access my contact list and the phone froze up. I had to remove the battery to reboot. After rebooting I tried to access the contacts again same issue. Then I forced a sync. Still the same issue after syncing. I then rooted the new 4.1.2 install that was pushed to my phone, because the install took the root priveliges away (it rooted fine). After rooting all the issues remained it still froze when I tried to access the Contact list . After clicking the Contact icon a new blank page comes and then freezes. I tried opening the phone icon and no dialer came up. Instead it was a list of a few names (mainly the contacts left over from the old phones log or recent calls list.). If I and slid the name to the right, it would dial the phone and work fine. If I slid the name to the left the messege app came up and worked fine. However if I clicked the name it would freeze the phone. There was not an option to select a dialer anywhere. I did not even have a My Contact icon option to choose from to make a call. The only thee options that I had were above the recent call log, and they were: 1> delete, 2>call, 3> merge with google. If I chose either option or clicked on a name in the list the phone froze and I had to reboot. I cannot get My Contacts to sync up with my google account. Everthing else appears to be OK except. I did try to restore the clockworkmod rom back up to before the 4.1.2 update but that fails now also. I am stuck.I would greatly appreciate any suggestions.

Well, I would personally, do a clean install [fully wiping] and restore the rom. Generally restoring an 'old' system is generally not a good idea, especially from a 'different' device; it can be done, but issues could follow. Like I said, do a full wipe, flash your rom, and go from there.
Also, in the future, you'd be better off not restoring / using rom manager; as I've seen things go wrong in the past. It'd do you better to do it manually.

Did you go into manage apps and wipe data on contacts? Then resync....
All Battery results are on a 6300mah battery, unless otherwise noted!

[CLOSED] All email apps closing automatically on opening an email!

I've run into this strange issue since yesterday - Any email app (and I've that includes GMail, Stock EMail, Cloudmagic, K9 Mail) closes automatically when I attempt to open any email. This happens only when opening an email, doing anything else on the apps is ok.
And the strange thing is that its not a FC either. It just closes. Without any Force Close error or exception. I've tried clearing the data on the apps, even removing the GMail app from system and re-installing it.
I assume it has to do something with whatever I did yesterday - I installed a couple of fonts from the Fonter Xposed module, but I had taken a full backup of all the fonts previously and restoring them isn't helping either. I've restored pretty much eveything I did, including removing Xposed and all. But the strange thing is it only occurs with email apps.
Anyone run into a similar issue in the past and have any clue? I've collected the logcat for the issue and I'm going over it, I see some NullPointerExceptions but not sure if these are relevant. I'm going through the logs in more detail right now, I'd appreciate if any other dev or someone who has run into this issue before can take a look and point something out.
If it comes down to it I'll just reflash everything, but just trying to avoid the trouble. Any help is appreciated.
<edit> Nevermind. I went through the logs, restored pretty much everything I can, cleared data, re-installed apps but couldn't resolve the issue. Can't point out exactly what caused the issue either. So I just went ahead and did a "Restore upgrade error" process from the LG PC Suite and re-rooted using Stump root. No data lost and issue resolved. Good enough. </edit>
