[Q] Are there any 2000mAh Replacement Back Covers? [UNANSWERED] - Galaxy S II Accessories

Heya guys,
I have the 2000mAh Extended battery kit.
I was wondering whether there are any replacement covers for the thickened battery covers the 2000mAh battery kit comes with, I'm just worried that if I break this cover, I don't want to buy the entire kit again, so I was wondering if there were any replacements you can buy online? I've checked eBay and other online markets, and wasn't able to find it.
If you guys know of any suppliers online who sells cool looking alternatives for the 2000mAh battery cover that came with the kit, could you guys link me there?
Thanks
Nicholas

Anyone?
EDIT: BUMPING AGAIN

Awh guys, at least most of the 226 viewers want an answer to this question toooooo~~~
if you know anything, reply here please!

I need one to asap i got a battery pack with SK cover...
Yep i guess we are screwed, im waiting for the price of the kit going down again.

send a email to the people who make the kit and see if they do any different versions? or if you could get some extra ones like you have, what about covering them in vinal, painting to your own design etc

There is practically nothing you can do first of all the battery is in short supply, and no one who is using it would be willing to give one to you.
I suggest you get the otterbox case put it on and move on with life.

not a solution but if ur cover breaks just install a case made with hard material, without the battery cover

I'd like to buy one too, white color to be exact

did you buy the black or white kit? they both look like battery cover is not glossy. I'd like to know too..
hopefully soon.. but 25pounds is too much for the kit.
Flashing your galaxy, press Y to continue..

If someone wants to swap their black battery cover(2000mAh extended) with my white one(2000mAh extended), let me know.

i bought the black kit because I have the black galaxy s2. I currently use a bumper case, so i don't want the battery cover to be permanently damaged if anything happened to it.

Just casually bumping it up again. To see if anyone knows

Don't really prefer using the phone with an open back, hate when tons of dust from your pocket goes into the phone and you can't get it out without dismantling it

There are several dealers shipping a new battery cover when buying a new battery. So just combine two things!

The only batteries which I can find which ship with a new cover are the bulky battery upgrades unless you can point me else where?

Handnav sell the high capacity battery with cover for £12.95 so I'd be happy to pay £5 + Postage for your cover.

Yes, you're right.
O2 does not sell their original spare parts to endusers. U hav to buy any 3rd party compatible spare parts
so how do you get one?????
Expansys have the Pattry Cover check them website
can you post me a link as every search I do on Expansys brings up covers for other models
I hope this cover fits.
And maybe this one?
The battery covers that come with extended life batteries are supplied because the battery is twice as thick as a standard battery. If you don't want a big bulge in the back of your phone then they are of no use.

Sry, I didn't know that.
and the first one isn't even for an Orbit?
Still need a battery cover for your orbit? I got mine fixed and as usual I take the sim, battery, stylus and cover off incase they misplace it while fixing, and they usually give me a new set too... so I have a few spares... I have 1 battery, 1 battery cover, 1 stylus and 1 charger...
Yes I still need a battery cover please.
PM me your details, offer etc and I can send it to you...
I should tell you that there is a slight nick on the circular plate on the cover, I have attached a (pretty crummy, sorry) photo...

or wait a couple of weeks, and lots of it would be available on ebay for cheap, in assorted colors and designs as usual
luckily the antenna is not built into the cover like HTC phones
Samsung will replace it for you most likely. I know that my friend purchased a phone off Craigslist without the back cover and the imei was reported stolen to Samsung. They wouldn't help him out.
Often times when there's a missing back cover the phone has been stolen from a retail store. There's an adhesive puck that's placed and super glued onto the back cover.

Very true. I'm a retail rep and we super glue the hell out of the phones to the pucks. Many times I'll have some ghetto looking peeps come in asking for back covers because they lost theirs (probably lost it when trying to yank the phones off the puck lol)

i was just saying this in another thread. but because of the newness of our phones, there is a shortage in cheap accessories for it. but as time goes on they will come. have you called Samsung or t mobile? they might could order you one. im sure they'll charge a bunch tho...
your local Tmo might have a returned SGS II with an extra battery door. I know when i worked for Tmo all we had to return would be the main part of the phone and the battery (and even this wasnt required to be returned some times). We kept all the other items in a bin for customers so we could help them out, an extra charger, 1gb micro sd card etc.

OMG!!! I need a battery cover!!!
Anybody know where I can find a battery cover? I bought a Galaxy S2 off of CL, brand new for $250, but the dude lost the box and battery cover. He gave it to me with one of those rubber skins on it, it gets the job done I guess. I've never really been a fan of those skins because I like my skinny, sexy ass phone to stay skinny and sexy. I tried Ebay, Google, T-mobile stores and bupkis. Help me!!!!!!!!
Just call Samsung and tell them that you have broken the cover, they will send you a new one for free or a minimal charge
hmm... i'd be surprised if it ain't one of those stolen demos from phone store displays
wish you luck the IMEI is not black listed
otherwise you got a very nice $250 T989 WiFi Tablet

thats what i was thinking also.
Nah I don't think so. Dude actually had 2 of them, the one he was using, and this one. He said this one was his wives and she didn't want it, plus they needed money. He told me they moved recently and put the phone in his pocket so the movers wouldn't be tempted to steal it. I dunno, seemed legit to me. It's working good for 2 days so far, I even took it to a T-mobile store today looking for a battery cover. I dunno, guess I'll find out sooner or later.

Battery for HSPA+ version of the Galaxy Nexus

So, anyone know where I can get the official battery, preferably one that comes with the battery charger? Regular and extended applies to the question.
Bumping this to see if anyone has any updated information on it.
alot of the galaxy nexus batteries on ebay seem to originate in Hong Kong. since I will be going there next week, i'll be on a lookout for both official as well as non official batteries
(i feel like the difference between the official and nonofficial batteries is just the Samsung logo slapped on. I feel that the all the cases and batteries on ebay all originated from the same factory as casemate cases and other batteries etc etc.)

Don't forget that the battery needs to have an NFC antenna for NFC/Beam to work as well.

Well, I would assume they would be? I mean, chances are pretty high anyway because the seller is from Korea and from what I know, only the Korean market has the extended battery for the GN. I'm just hoping that they come with the back cover so I don't have to hunt for one.

For those who are desperate enough, they can try duct tape? lol
does anyone now how much thicker this battery is?
since the back cover is pretty flexible, i think it can work if its less then 2mm.
i really need another battery since the 1750mah battery just gets me to home and work, and i need to recharge it sometimes @ home before going out again.
BUMP!!!
I NEED a extended battery for this GSM Nexus !!
Well I knew they would pop up soon! and also was thinking maybe you could use the original back cover too, since the sensation had an extended battery and you could squeeze it in with the regular back cover! I will keep searching!
Would be great if a korean could test it, try to fit the extended battery with the standard back cover.
I messaged a user on here that said they were from Korea. He said he'd look into it if there is somewhere that we can order the battery and cover. He mentioned that the cover for the battery just fills in the bump at the bottom of the phone so that it is more flush on the back.
He also mentioned that probably there aren't a lot of places to order(or at all) since the phones there come with the battery already.
Extended battery does not fit when used with the regular back. Pictures soon, currently at work.
As for availability, definitely give it a month or so. This phone and all related accessories are just flying of the shelves. I can't even find cases here, let alone extra batteries. I also heard from another user that the Galaxy Nexus is sold out in certain cities until 2012, so that's a pretty good indication as to how long it might be.

Once fitted you can put your phone down anywhere without worrying about nasty scratches on the bottom of the phone.

Sorry friend, but that's the first place I looked for it..tried every possible combination of "Samsung", "Galaxy S2", "extended battery cover", "GT-I9100", "oem", "original"...
In fact I have 2 extended batteries, had bought the Korean version first only to find that the cover doesn't fit, battery does though..then ordered the International version for which both fit perfectly.
Am trying to find an extended battery (official 2000mAH) cover only for the international version so I can sell it or exchange...
So, if anyone has seen one on an online store..plz do let me knw..thnx
i check with samsung service center here in PH. it seems the only for sale is the standard issue and can't buy the extended battery cover only
thanks
Thanks for posting Cey123! I was about to buy the ext battery with white cover, but i changed my mind I will go with the black one. But i will get a white sgp case to.
Looks better than I thought it would.
Thanks.
Going black on black personally though.

Awesome, wasn't sure if it was online only.
I think it's good for folks who don't live near Verizon stores.
This does not work on sprints version. The tabs do not line up for the cover and its the wrong color
The only down fall is it has the Verizon logo on it. I'll double check when I get home. I'll have to check it when I get home.

This is correct. Sprint doors and Verizon door tabs are different. Color is the same though.
I wonder if something can be done about it.
I jumped on the deal thinking it would fit, great price, and I was going away for the weekend and an extended battery would come in handy.
That being said, could it be that some of the tabs would fit in? Or is it completely different?
I might have to go to my local Verizon store in the morning and see if they have it in stock.

I just got Sprint doors in today for my business. I checked the fitting on my Verizon GNex just out of curiousity. The only difference I found is one tab on the right side that is out of alignment. Essentially you could remove that tab and have a fitting door. Granted it might be loose in that area but fit nonetheless.
EDIT: I'm sorry I just did a visual check of both doors side by side. The Verizon has 2 tabs on the middle of the right side as opposed to the Sprint version with just one placed inbetween where those 2 are located. You could remove those 2 tabs, but again you'd have a loose door in that area. Those are the only thing that make the doors different, all the other tabs are the same.

NP, I was able to pick up a battery at the store by my office, and after trimming the little plastic tabs, works fine.
For $25 it's a good deal, and will come in handy. The only sucky part is the Verizon LTE logo in the back
This was mentioned the first time these batteries went on sale but you can fit the stock battery door with the 2100 mah batteries. I'm using the stock cover on mine (vzw gn) with the extended battery. It bulges slightly but hasn't caused any problems. My incipio case fits over it as well.

Can you post some pictures of these batteries and compare them size-wise to the stock? I have a 3800 maH battery, but it is way too thick for my liking, would just like to see what the 2100 battery looks like with the cover.
I have another extended battery coming (they were back on sale over the weekend for $25 so I picked up another) and will snap a pic of it next to the stock battery when it comes in. You can't tell any difference in the phone with the stock/ext. battery since I'm using the stock door. I also picked up a Ringke slim case and it fits with the ext. battery/stock door no problem.

Thanks. If you can, get a pic of the battery and door in the phone. I am curious how much bigger it makes the phone. As I said before, the 3800 is just too unwieldy.

I just got this battery in the mail today. It is only a mm or two thicker than the stock battery. With the cover in place, it is even with the bottom of the phone versus slightly concave with the stock battery/cover. It does not at all look or feel like an "extended" battery. Not unwieldy at all.
I'm sure its not unwieldy. Does it feel different? If you weren't looking for it, could you tell? Sorry for all the questions.
Also, how does it perform? I am trying to decide whether to get a spare stock to switch out or this extended battery. Thanks.
