[Q] How to save the game on Mupen64 - Xperia Play Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I have searched but I can't find the answer. Is there any way to save my current progress on N64 games with Mupen64 on the Xperia Play The menu button does nothing. I have mapped the buttons correctly with the developers own config file.
I tried posting this in the Mupen64 thread but I'm a N00b and xda won't let me
Help!

Its still a work in progress so its best to wait a few updates until the GUI is implemented, then you will be able to use save states easily without having to use all the config files.

OK Thanks. I love the smoothness of Mario64. Very impressed. Just another of the many features to show off at the pub!

[Q]

Hi people.
aThe ability to have access to all those retro games, which I by the way often enjoy more than recent games as they mostly are nothing but eyecandy, was an important point for me to get an Android device.
At the moment I am kind of pissed. I just searched for SNESoid and couldnt find it in the Market. Did it get pulled?
Is there some other way than the market to get this app?
Apparently i failed to give this thread a title. Sorry about this, its my first one.

You can edit the title
Anyways ..
There is Snes9x EX or sega Genesis ...both give you the retro games ......
yes Snesoid (and the dev and all his software )got pulled becouse SEGA was *****ing
Thanks for the Info.
By now I found out, that the developers account in the market was deleted.
For now he posted all his emulators in another appstore, (am not able to post the URL, but just google for "SlideMe") , for now they are even all free. I think its a shame that Google pulled his apps, as they were a real plus for the android platform giving you access to a LOT of "real" games.
BTW: I still cant figure out how to change this threads title...

[Q] Changing what sliding gamepad does...?

I was wondering, is it possible to change the app that pops up when the gamepad is opened on the home screen? As default it's the xperia play launcher, which I've frozen with titanium backup, but I was hoping it could launch fpse automatically instead.
Anyone know of a way of doing this? Countless Google searches have come up fruitless, so I'm asking you fine people..
I've tried this app: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=926670
but can't find a remappable button for opening the gamepad.
Many thanks!
bump
I search too with no success
Yeah theoretically you could do it.
you need to extract the bit of code that points to the switch.
then apply it to FPSE startup code
it would be alot of work and I couldn't help you sorry

[Q] Onlive button mapping

Hi all xda members I'm posting this in hopes to get a list of people who have the play and would like to see Onlive add a button mapping feature so that games that require r2 and l2 buttons work. I figure a get a lot of people to back me on this forward the link to the developer and low and behold games that required additional buttons would be playable assuming the developer would listen to potential customers. So post a positive affirmation of button mapping capabilities and I'll send it over to the developer.
And please feel free to post any ideas of work around for this problem I'm dying for some trine action on this play.
PS happy holidays and my love to all the hard work that goes on in this forum

If anything, we need a solution for left/right thumbstick clicks.
A guy had a conversation with an OnLive rep about the situation (that can be found here: http://onlivefans.com/showthread.php?p=170555) and they said the the OnLive app for the Xplay was in it's early stages and it's possible that a solution could be found in future.
Obviously the rushed the Xplay optimization because wr kept complaining and they wanted to keep us happy.
I think a solution for left/right analog stick clicks for the Xplay would be to have them register when a person makes a double click or a hold of a button. Added onscreen controls would be better though.

Mapping buttons to touch screen press

My brother has a unlocked R800at and I have been trying to find an app that will let him map touchscreen presses to the physical buttons. I know that sixaxis controller has this feature, but it is only for external controllers. Is there something that will enable you to play any game by mapping the touchscreen buttons to the controller?
GameKeyboard is capable of doing so, but I never tinkered with it enough to figure out exactly how. It its a paid app, so you might want to look at some guides.

[Q] Turn Xperia play into game console on mac

Hi everyone,
i'm new around here. I've been searching on google for a while now but i can't find what i wanted to search for, so i decided to post a thread.
Does anyone know how to turn Xperia Play into a game console on Mac? and is it possible ?
What i meant by game console is: playing games on mac by controlling with the Xperia Play.
By the way, i'm not a native speaker . Sorry for my bad english.
Thanks
A quick google search revealed a free app called "AIO Remote". It claims to be compatible with linux, pc, and mac.

Tried messing with AIO for a couple hours to get my play working on my PC, couldn't figure it out though. I feel like there has to be a way to make this work with the PLAY. Someone a bit more tech savvy should check this out and make a profile and upload it, because I'm stumped. That would rule.

Did you tried PC con app?
You have to be on same wifi network as PC. It works on Windows, but program for PC is java file that, when started, it opens window in browser with settings for connections. I don't know if Mac have java support, but you can try it
App is not perfect, but once connected, you can map keys in app that you use in game (like, WASD is up-left-down-right).
Touchpads don't work on ICS, but it might work on gingerbread (didn't test that app a long time)
