Sim contacts - Wildfire Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

How to save contact direct to sim card and not in phone memory?Iam using cm7.1.0.1

Use a 3rd party app like Contact2SIM from the market (Tested personally. I needed my contacts on a dumbphone, and transferring via SIM was the only option)

I'm on nightlies but If I go to contacts press menu then import/export I can backup to my SD.
Edit:: my bad, didn't read the op correctly again, thought you said SD card not sim.

I don't think CM has such an option built-in. You will have to go for "periodic" backups at best.

have you tried MyPhoneExplorer to pull the numbers from your phone to PC?
probably not what youre looking for....
Even with newest oxygen? Are you sure you have contacts in sim card? Try it in a simple phone. Ie sonyericsson.

I had a similar problem when I imported my contacts from a vCard file on my SD card. They didn't show up in Contacts but did show up in SMS and the call log.
The problem is that by default unsynced contacts are hidden from the list. To show them, hit Menu > Display options, tap your Google account, put a check in "All Other Contacts," then finally tap the Done button. Your unsynced contacts should show up now.

[Q] How to save SMS on sim card

It is a basic function to me, but I can't find it where to set it, any third party app can do that?

HTC desire running Cmod 7 issues.

Okay I'm running the latest cyanogen rom and all is well besides the fact I've lost some contacts and am unable to store new ones on the sim.
Is there a way around this?

yeppers, use your google account for contacts storage, you will never have a problem
+1
Google account automatically syncs with your phone, no need to hassle with contacts backup/restore Also, it can be used to backup your installed apps automatically (without settings restored tho)
Thank you so much guys

[Q] Where are my contacts?

Hey there!
I have my contacts in my SIM card. With the stock rom they are shown, with CM10/CM9 they are also shown, but with every other rom I tried only the SIM services are shown as my contacts (stuff like customer service number and so on). If I sync with google nothing happens.. if I try to import from SIM only those 18 "services" appear.
currently I'm using the DebianDroid rom (but this also happens with aurora, aokp, miui, just to name a few I tried). I repeat that this does not happen with stock/CMx
Any ideas? Thanks!
Use the 'export' function to make a .vcard file with all your contacts on sd

You've to export them from SIM to Phone!
How? I can't see any contacts. Now I'm using the latest cm10 from Eric and after a reboot I have all the correct contacts. Só now I exported them and will import them in the future, although I prefer to keep them in the sim card.

Have you try "display option" on contact?
