Well, CM9 is in works. That's as stock as it can possibly get. Wait till a official stable build of CM9 for the E4GT is released. Or if you're a total bad ass you can try their experimental builds.
So maybe some of you have heard but AOKP has dropped the Evo 4G so I was wondering what alternatives there are to stay in ICS? I've been looking around and I have a few in mind already: Team Dirt, Jzm's CM9 port to name a few. I thought I'd ask the rest of the community before making a decision though.

As posted above, RemICS is fantastic and PA is (imo) the best aosp ICS rom for the evo right now. That being said Papa Smurf has an update coming down the pipes tonight (probably) for the Team D.I.R.T CM9 port...I was gonna flash back to PA today but I think I'm gonna wait until that puppy drops cuz it's gonna fly!

I'll second this; Team DIRT ROMs are fantastic, I flip between Paranoid Android and RemICS, currently on the latest RemICS and it's running very smooth with the COD tweaks and a slight boost to the min/max CPU frequencies.

I'll answer for you since this in the Q & A section.
This all depends on what kind of ROM you like in the first place: speed, stability, or features.
I love stability and stock Jelly Bean is great, in my opinion. I use the CyanogenMod 10 Preview Build that was released on 07/25. The "Unofficial Build from the Official Source" per say.
If you want features, customizations, and options I'd go with Liquid, Slim Bean, or AOKP.

Well, if you're on Sprint GN, of course its the Are-You-jellin rom by dreamsforgotten and ShabbyPenguin!
Its a pure aosp flavored 4.1.1 ROM. Very smooth for me.

Jellybean 4.1 is not yet bug-free and fully stable on our hov so, I doubt we will see 4.2 anytime soon.

Honestly the ICS Beta is extremely slow. You better of flashing FXP CM9 with Lupus or Turbo kernel.

They do have some very good Jellybean roms, though. P.A.C, Slimbean, Turbo UI and Paranoid Android, just to name a few. If you're set on Ice Cream Sandwich roms, they do have ExtremeRom in beta and CM 9.x.
