Hi,
I have a rooted kindle fire & I have set up ADW Launcher EX as my daily driver. I have a weird problem whereby the wallpaper changes every time I unlock my device. This is really annoying as some of the backgrounds are really bright and it becomes difficult to read and see the screen.
Even if i set a wallpaper on my own, as soon as I unlock the device the wallpaper again changes.
Please advise what to do?

It's been a while since I noticed this error..
I'm using Defrost Latest Version with Launcher PRO.
Every time I set a new wallpaper (it doesn't matter which way I do it, either via launcher pro, or via backgrounds app), the image is changed to some grass.
It only changes to the new image I picked if I reboot the phone..
That's kind of annoying, since every time I want to test a wallpaper I have to reboot my phone.
Anybody knows a solution for this?

and I presume you are changing the wallpaper when in LP by either pressing menu>wallpaper>gallery or long press on LP desktop>wallpapers>gallery?
This is probably going to be a really obvious question that is right in front of my face, but I just don't see it!
I have a Galaxy Nexus (CDMA), running LiquidSmooth, and yesterday I realized that the bottom row of my home screens (above the row of icons that has a name that is escaping me) is gone. Widgets that used to have something under them now stretch to the bottom. For example, on one homescreen I had the Audio Manager widget on top, then the Friendcaster widget, then some system icons (Settings, Astro, Rom Toolbox, etc.) under that. Now the two widgets are the only things on the screen, with no extra space for icons under them.
It's like I managed to resize the resolution or something. I don't know when it started, or what I might have done prior to it. I thought I was going crazy when I first noticed it, because it isn't a problem I've ever had before. I'm probably going to flash a new rom tonight, and see if that solves it, but does anyone have a clue what might have happened?

In your launcher what is your grid size?
I'm sure it is possible to change the grid size in Apex Launcher, but I'm not having any luck finding it. Might be paid version only, but I'm still looking.

I apologize if this discussion exists somewhere else. I looked but could not find this issue.
I am trying to utilize the Go Multiple Wallpaper app. I want to have a different background on each home-screen page. I am able to do this but I have the "Screens scroll circularly" option enabled on GoLauncher so that I can swipe from the last to the first home screen and from the first to the last page with one swipe.
When I swipe from first to second, second to third and so on the background changes perfectly. However, when I go from first to last the background does not change. If I go from last to first to second then back to first, the first page will have the proper wallpaper.
Before using this app I used the "MultiPicture Live Wallpaper" app, which worked great at first. Then all of the sudden it started to exhibit the above issue. So I switched to the GoLauncher solution.
I just did a complete system restore and switched roms to NOTEorious Prime. I didn't do any restore of apps or info and the problem is not resolved?
I don't know why both apps are showing the same problem. And i don't understnd why if MultiPicture Live Wallpaper was working perfectly before why it is not working after a factory reset?
I am currently running NOTEorious Prime 1.5 on a SGH-i137. Hopefully that's all the info you'll need. Let me know if I left something out.
If you know anything about this topic and could offer any intel I would appreciate it greatly.

Hello everyone. I was an iphone user and I decided to change to android so I bought a samsung galaxy note 2. Im quite new in this so please help me. Im at 4.1.2 with the rom that came with my phone. Im rooted but nothing else. Ive installed go launcher ex and next launcher 3d and I like the second more than the stock. I want to ask if there is any other launcher exept those two and which launcer is better and faster for my phone? Sorry for the noobism here but im trying to learn!!!!!
There's a lot of launchers... Just check all launchers you want on Google Play Store search bar.
Otherwise you have Nova, Apex, TSF, ssLauncher, Next Launcher, Holo, ADW, Regina, Smart Launcher, 360 Launcher, SPB Shell 3D, Buzz launcher, Action Launcher Pro and so on...

One suggestion: never ask what "the best" anything is. That's very subjective and everyone has their own opinion. And NEVER ask for "the best rom" - you'll get laughed at and your thread locked.
But, by all means continue to explore your amazing new device, all of the helpful information buried in these forums (use search heavily!); there is also an AT&T forum for this phone, so be sure to search in there, too

Thanks both! I'm still used to the ios where is always something better than the others ( theme or app ) but it seems it's different here and i like it!!! I will try some more launchers so i can decide wich one to use so i can customize is further! I've found many helpful posts in here it is true! One more question for now! when i press the home button to return to my homescreen it asks me which launcher to use! if i set it to use always touchwiz for example can i change it later and how can i do it??? If you select any application for always and later want to change it do this
Setting - application manager - find application which you made defalt (always) - open and select - clear defaults
Now again it will prompt to select.

i think i will try it in a bit now im still using the next launcher 3d... the thing is that when i press the middle button on my homescreen and all my apps comes in front i cant find how to add more pages there!!!! can anyone help me?
think i gound it. it creates pages on its own... i dont swear though... ill try it a bit more and ill post again! till now it seems too fast and no laggy to me!
If you want a clean and battery friendly launcher, try Nova Launcher.

pressing home button it brings back to main page which you have defined as 'home'
to add pages
'Pinch In' you will get 3d view and on one blank page there will be '+' sign, that will add one more page
To make any page 'Home' press Home symbol at lower end of page in 3d view.
Thanx for your reply! I did but I like more next launcher. Its too fast and its far away than the stock launcher or some launchers that they use something equal!

This is my first LG phone. I am not sure if I have some questions because of that, or because of the specific phone, or due to the screen size.
1. What is the fitness app all the way to the left screen?
It is not in the widget list or app list. Is it just LG Fitness?
2. I want to use the native launcher for a change, it appears so much better than TWiz. But I do like my 4x1 widgets to span the whole screen. Can you widen the widgets to do that? Or would that require a 5x5 screen which LG's launcher can't do
3. If I were to use Nova, I suppose the answer to #1 above would answer this, but if that LG Fitness is the same app, I could place a widget for that on one screen, provided it has one. What is the best fitness app with a widget?
4. I have a big selection of wallpapers. In the past I would normally use PicSpeed or Backgrounds HD to set the wallpaper normally selecting wide. I am a little confused as one of the apps I am using, with one size wallpaper I have (either 1980x1020 or 2550x1420) when set on the homescreen flickers a little, then the screen itself, not the home buttons or notification bar, turns black. I set it again, with what app I can't figure out and whether I select full screen (wide) or just normal, something fixes it? Any idea?
5. Lastly, I had read that the screen on the LG is wonderful, may take a little of the battery, but also that it is a little dim. Well I agree.
But it was a LOT dim when my battery is at 14. As much as I thought I knew, maybe I don't let my phone get that weak, but even with the battery saver off, it appears that Android has a built in mechanism to lower the brightness at some point. Would that be correct? And I use Brightness Toggle Widget app. Weird but on all other phones, it was in sync with the phone - when I would change it on the widget, the phone would change. When I would change on the phone, the widget would change. Can someone shed light on that. Do some apps just not update or work on certain phones. Is there a better app to use a widget where you can set the brightness at selected interval %'s

Thank You first of all. Yes, sort of. Not that new, I don't give myself credit. LOL But thank you very much
1. I knew it can be gotten rid of etc, but I am unlike most, I like it. It can't be had in other launchers can it? The best I could find was using a shortcut to a Nova Activity which can find a lot of hidden things there. Works well, as an app though, not a widget
2. How can you widen them to full screen in the LG Launcher, if you would be willing to share. Thank You

But I'm not able to pinpoint the problem any more than 'probably smaller' Some work fine, some don't

2. You can't resize widgets on the LG Launcher, you need Nova for that, I'm pretty sure.
you can expand widgets
It depends on the widget themselves. If the developer allow resizing it can be resized, but if not then it can't.
Example PayPal doesn't allow resizing while Eye in the Sky does.
