1. Download the file from above ( Market-3.3.12.apk) to your SD card.
2. In Root Explorer, find the file you just downloaded and copy it.
3. Move it to /system/app and hit the R/W button to enable writing privileges, then paste the file.
4. Find Vending.apk and rename it to something like Vending.apk1.
5. Long press on Market-3.3.12.apk and rename it to Vending.apk.
6. Afterwards, long press on it again and choose“"Permissions".”
7. Change the permissions to this:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",
"lightbox_stop_slideshow": "Stop slideshow",
"lightbox_full_screen": "Full screen",
"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
8. Press“"OK", reboot your phone, and enjoy the new market.
For Apps not showing in Market, do the following:
While in Titanium Backup, press Menu, Market Tools, then Market Doctor. Select the Apps you want to reconnect to the Market.
Alternatively, you can search for the App in Market, then simply Uninstall, then Reinstall. You can then restore the App data with TB.

How to get the 2.0 icons on my 1.6 mytouch?
The icon package comes straight from the market. If you don't know how to change the icons well then read on. Go to the android market and search up
" Android 2.0 Icons " . Then the first one that comes up , " Icon pack - Android 2.0" Install that one. This is just optional if you want the 2.0 icons which I recommend. Any who click home settings more icons.Then you click the icons exit blah blah done. ^ This is just if you have open/ahome installed.
How to install themes on open home.
1.Download the .apk below.
2.Connect your phone mount .
3.Open to your phone and drag the .apk into your sdcard doesn't matter where just remember where you put it.
4.Unmount , go to your phone , open w.e file manager you use astro,oi, w.e find the .apk install it.
5. Click home , Menu, More , ahomes themes , and the theme is called IPHONE because yes i explained read up ^^
6. If you want to use the wallpaper like in the screenshots click exit and use wallpaper from theme if not just click exit keep my wallpaper
There is one bug well can't say bug but I'm trying to fix this since I'm new to this whole thing is that I downloaded a iphone template theme for ahome. So the theme I can't seem to rename it if anyone can help me I would like that

Is this for non-root users? It is better for you to put this on the market if this is made for non-root users.
On XDA, there are tons of "N1" themed launchers like AnderWeb's AlmostNexus Launcher that you can flash via recovery and use as your permanent launcher. That means you don't have to always keep the home replacement app running = more RAM for the phone to use = faster phone.
Yeah its for non root users but I don't have 25 $ to put it in the market

Tried installing this on the latest MIUI build and I get the following error at the very end of the Market install process: "Application Not Installed".
Any tricks I can try? FYI, Installing as root doesn't seem to help :/
Oh, I'm the same to you
This isnt something you can just install like a regular APK. Use root explorer or something to move it to /system/apps.
Installed on MIUI 1.10.28 Desire Z.
Works very well.
Cheers
Edit:
Also it's much faster than the previous version x.x.25

Has anyone noticed that when you update an app, the notification icon disappears right after it says it was successfully installed? Or is this just on my end?

I've read a couple of comments about this being a bit smoother when using and/or installing apps... perhaps Blade will be able to handle this version better than the current one.
I tried it but my impression is not that it's getting smoother now.
It still lacks.
I still miss the old market, IMO the new features are not that good to accept the poor performance.

You could search for the old market (I think it's still in july's gapps package), push it to your phone and then freeze Market Updater. This is how I used to have it.
edit: Oh, and if you've only recieved automatic market updates over your old 2.X market, you could just go into settings>application>manage application and uninstall updates from market.

Unsintall Launcher

So I am running a custom ICS rom on my epic touch but it comes preloaded with Nova Launcher which I don't like, I keep getting update notifications for this and its annoying since I'm using Apex Launcher. How do I uninstall this permanently?

If it doesn't show up in your application listing then you will have to use a program like titanium backup (free from the play store) to uninstall it.
Just back it up first in titanium backup first just in case.

I have Titanium Pro, how would I uninstall it though?
If it's like TB (basic) just find the launcher on the list, short tap and tap "Uninstall".
(Long tap will give separate options that you don't need for uninstall.)
*Edit*
I apologize if this sounds like I'm patronizing - I made this mistake when I first used TB.
Since then I have found that I'm not the only one that tried the long tap first.

Another way to get rid of all junk (at least for me and other many people) apps is using Calkulin's Bare Rom converter in here
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1535776
Download it and run it from CWM recovery. Nova launcher is one of the apps included in his tool.
This worked!!!

Or another option is to navigate to the system/app folder and just delete the offending apk file.
