Marware MicroShell Folio - Kindle Fire Accessories

I bough this the same day I bought my Fire. I love it. The fit is great and the protection is good.
The price was a little steep ($29 on Amazon), but I'm very happy with it. I think it also looks very nice on the Fire too!

Great case, I got it the same day as my fire too.

Post up some action pics please!

I received this case as a gift with my fire and I like it quite a bit.
I can see that this case is more expensive than many others out there. That said, it really is a great case that offers quite a bit of protection in a stylish exterior.
Pics with my next post.

I was really unhappy with this case because it felt cheap and the strap is glued on not attached through the case. I just don't trust that the glue won't come off a few months down the road. Can anyone that has the case attest to the ruggedness of the strap?

My three year old put the strap to the test this morning by spinning the Kindle around BY THE STRAP on my case. It held up fine to that. I really like this case. =)

I hated the case and sent it back. Was flimsy as a stand and the material was like a magnet for cat hair.

New custom case

Hi All,
I just ordered this case for my wife's A100.
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0060N4OIK/ref=oh_o00_s00_i00_details
I have a case for my A500, from the same manufacturer, that I am very happy with.
Should get it later today. I can post my thoughts on it once it arrives if anyone is interested.
Wow, this case looks excellent--just like the one I had on my Transformer. Thanks for posting!
Just e-mailed seller, no shipping to Canada, and no equivalent cases on eBay

Just wait, when they are new it just takes some time.
How is this only $15????? And eligible for Amazon Prime, too!
This case is absolutely phenomenal.
Feels like you're holding a dense leather rectangle of quality.
-Fit and finish is perfection
-Thing is completey rigid (no twist or slop-- unlike those bezel-covering slide-in-pocket flip cases)
- Stand is solid and stable
- The clasp mechanism feels fantastic (really, when this thing is closed, it feels locked down).
- Protects the screen, back plastic, and corners. Seems to offer about as much shock/crush/drop protection as any case I've ever seen, yet adds very little in the way of bulk and mass.
- Access to all ports/plugs
Can't exaggerate how much I love this case. Protection factor aside, the thing simply makes me like using my table more.
Thanks for the review! Definitely going with this case now.

Glad to hear my review was useful--post back with your impressions of the case when you get a chance.
[email protected]! I waited too long and Amazon is sold out with no restock date. There are several cases out there, but the Blurex was the only one I saw with corner clips instead of the chunky looking leather frame.
I contacted Blurex to see if there were any other resellers, and they said that it would be back in stock on Amazon shortly. A few hours later, and it's back in stock!
how sure are you that it would help survive a fall while open and in use...looks like it would pop out...
trying to decide between thsi and
the acer bumpter case
http://us.acer.com/ac/en/US/content/model/LC.BAG0A.070
Depending on height of fall and hardness of contact surface, I'm not sure I'd bet on a pane of glass in any case, but the Blurex's corner-clips do hold the tablet with some serious authority. It'd take some funky, but not impossible, physics to pop it out.
The bumper case you linked to looks like what I had in mind before going for the Blurex offering. I figured the small form factor made the A100 more like a reach-for-it-and-go phonelet than a full tablet, so I wanted a hard, snap case with no flap to contend with. When using the tablet in portrait, I'll occasionally get annoyed with the folded-back flap, but the more complete protection and premium/professional appearance/feel of the Blurex case more than make up for it.
I received the Blurex case mentioned by the OP yesterday.
Quite frankly, I have not seen any case fit any device better.
It significantly reduces the amount of bulk the "OEM" case has;
Because it basically has *no* sides, it does not have the OEM case's problem of ports not lining up quite right; and
Its material seems higher quality and is easier to grip in my opinion.
Also, under current (not Black Friday) pricing, it costs only half as much.
Very nice case i like it

I received the blurex case today, ordered based on what I read here.
It does seem well-made and I very much like that it adds very little to the dimensions and weight of the A100.
At first the clasp that closes the cover annoyed me when holding it open in portrait to read like a book. (I use Kindle frequently.) The sharp corner dug into the side of my finger.
Then I got out a nail file and just lightly softened the one corner and that pretty much took care of the problem.
As a result, the rounded clasp actually works as a finger hold to grasp the tablet in one hand without putting my thumb on the screen. (See photos.)
Overall, it's a pretty good addition.
I ordered mine last night. I hate the actual case that acer puts out. Cant wait for this one to come in...
My BluRex case arrived yesterday, and it's even smaller than I expected. It a very nicely made case (especially for the price), and fits like a really tight glove (insert OJ joke here). My only concern is that the clip that holds the cover closed might wear through the finish on the side of the tablet over time. Otherwise, great case! Highly recommended!

great! thanks so much for the quick reply...after receiving the unit, and looking at it ocmpared to the car mount we have, think this case will be perfect for it.
Out of stock
It appears that Amazon is out of these... I've checked a couple dozen Google links for the case and they all lead back to the Amazon "out of stock" page.
Anyone know of another source for these cases?
Thanks.
Blurex was out of stock, but stumbled across this at Bureau En Gros.
Acer Portfolio, has a carbon finish and similar looking to the Blurex though not as slim as the Blurex.
All the ports and camera holes fit great. This model doesn't have a smell that i've read in other threads. It doubles as a stand too.
Cover holds down by a magnet, so no intrusive or wailing clasp.
Check out the attachments.
p.s. i had initially posted this in the A500 / A100 case thread, my apologies for double post
So Nolan, do you like the case?

Nice Kindle Fire starter bundle on amazon

Found a 10 in 1 accessory bundle that comes with a Lychee Black Leather Multi-Angle Cover, 2 Screen Protectors, 3 Universal Touch Screen Pens ( 1 Silver, 1 Black, and 1 Red ), a 3.5mm AXU Retractable Audio Male to Male Cable, a Candy Stereo Headset with Soft Gel Earbuds 3.5mm, a Headset/Earphone Cord Wrapper, and a Universal Wrist Strap Lanyard.
Here's the product link: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B006WKKY5I?ie=UTF8&force-full-site=1
I ordered one and it'll be here in a few days so, I'll post a review on here when I get it.
That does look fairly promising, I may take a chance on that myself, but I've read on these forums that a screen protector is really superfluous for the Kindle Fire.
I'd heard that too, I'll let you know when it gets here.
I think a screen protector could be useful. My Kindle Fire received an unexplained tiny scratch on its screen. The screen's surprisingly durable though.
My wife got me the Marware black leather case and Mini Suit stylus (the lanyard plugs into the audio port). The case is a little pricier than a lot of the others, but it looks nice and it seems pretty rugged. I've decided against the screen protector and I've had no scratches yet-- of course if I get one, I'm going to kick myself lol.
Ya, I also haven't gotten a scratch yet bet I know, like you said, if it ever gets one I'd be really ticked. I also can't wait to tray the leather case. I really wonder how the build quality is.
I've been using the Marware case for a week, sorry if my wording was unclear. It's an attractive case and it feels sturdy. I don't have much use for it as a stand, but I did try it out and while it's workable, I wouldnt call it ideal. The KF screens are gorilla glass, so I'm not too concerned about scratches, but I could see a loose diamond ring being a scratch hazard

The stuff got here... The screen protector applied like a dream without a single bubble. The case is nice and it's pretty sturdy. The capacitive pens are nicer than I'd thought and the earphones are pretty average.
Great Deal. 16, 17 USD. Considering just a case with a cover cost that much. Its nice

Thanks for the heads up! I just bought my kindle fire and this would be perfect. I just hope the quality of the accessories are decent since its pretty cheap for so many accessories.
nice
good find
So far...
So anyone purchase this have anything to say about the case so far? I have to admit, like others have stated, it seems to inexpensive that I'm leery about the quality. I'm not expecting a $50 case, but any reviews on it so far?

i wonder too , anyone?
Looks quite nice....and, for 20 dollars that is a steal. (With Shipping of course), thanks.

Trent Rox Case and screen protector (or two cases) really good deal

http://slickdeals.net/f/4050922-Amazon-Kindle-screen-protector-kindle-case-bundle-sale-coupon-12-95
that code gives $21.95 off the order. I ordered two cases (one for my wife as well) and they came to $17 and change. I've no interest in the screen protector but someone else might.
Good find! Let us know how you like it!
My purpose for them was to color code the 2 I have, and for that they work great. They are cheap. The rubber is a perfect fit but its not stiff and as such its easy to flexit away from the device. The stand is impossible to lift without a fingernail or a coin or some other tool.
It does a good job of protecting the kindle. The colors are very nice in person. The stands are solid and hold the kindle at a good angle.
Id say if you don't like leather and you're looking for a cheap case. This is ideal

I bought this case as well. The case prevents your fingers from accidentally shutting the KF off. It's decent for the money. The rubber casing along the sides is a little flimsy.

Damn didn't see this till now, totally would have got one!

[short REVIEW] MicroShell Folio Kindle Fire Cover

Hi guys!
Just wanted to share with you (and comment on) the experience on my new MicroShell Folio Kindle Fire Cover which I've received today, after ordering it on eBay for $29.
I must say I'm very pleased with this case, it's more then I've expected. It looks really good, feels solid, feels nice to hold in hands and it adds very little bulk to the Fire. The strap is useful for reading, but it's primary function is to hold the front lid closed or open. Also, I' was nicely surprised when I realized it can be used as a "lower" stand (see pictures), which is definitely more useful and also stable compared to the original "higher" stand - the trick is that you stick the front lid to the strap on the back of the case, instead to the slot original meant for that. Hope you get what I'm talking about, if not look through the pics carefully and you will see the difference between two stand modes.
All in all, I'm happy with this buy and recommend it. It made Kindle even more functional and coooooler.. ;-)
I enjoy mind as well, though I will warn you that the back of mine started peeling after a week of use.

That's not nice to hear. That happens within a year and I'm sending it back
I've had this case on my fire since Christmas. It is still in perfect condition. It's the perfect balance of function, weight, and durability.

I got my Fire used about a month and a half ago and it came with this case.
The original owner got it back around Christmas and he has 3 small children which were also using it.
When he got an iPad3 and stopped using the Fire his wife made him sell it.
I fully agree with everything the OP said.
After months of heavy use it still holds the Fire securely and it still looks good.
I highly recommend this case.
Thanks for the review as I ended up going with this case. It looks nice and the stand works well.
I..
I just wanted to say that I have had this case for 3-4 months now and I really like it. I haven't had any issues with it peeling or anything like that and I used my KF every day. This is a good, sturdy case.
This is the case I'm rocking. I think it is great, by far the best I could find and wasn't too expensive
Sent from my Kindle Fire running 4.1/Jandy Cane
I had a white one for me and a Pink one for my Daughter. The pink one held up much better than the white, no peeling, the white one peel within a month

Hi,
If you don't have any available that is cool. In your research did you find one that did not add to much to the heft. I had a D30 case for my GS2 that saved it several times. Is there anything like that available?
Thanks
For those looking for a cheap but good case , I bought the Minisuit Frost TPU Case for Amazon Fire Phone (Black) off of Amazon for $2.95. I wanted something I could toss if I sent back the phone, but I think I will keep it on. It isn't a heavily armored case, but it is thin, has a no slip surface back, proper cutouts and nice button covers, hard plastic surrounds, and seems to offer decent protection (I dropped the phone once and it survived in this cass)
Buddibox case
I bought a Buddibox case from amazon, was about $10
Very happy with it so far. I like to carry phone on the waist. This case has two parts. One clips on the waist and another around the phone, one slide on the other.
The phone case is rubber with hard plastic skeleton with a stand on the back if you want to keep phone upright for videos. Has 2mm or so lip all around the screen.
The belt clip swivels so one can adjust it for comfort while sitting etc.
cases
hey isnt casemate cases realy good
thats what im puting on my fire phone and have on my htc one m8
