[ROM][CDMA][KANG] Miui 1.12.9 12/24/11 - Galaxy Tab Android Development

First and foremost, the script used to create this is from jt1134. My complete boredom wanted an updated MIUI build that will stay updated. This is my only android device worth a damn so I am just bored with it. Without his script I wouldn't have been able to do this. So many thanks to him.
Ported from the latest official fascinate rom and will stay updated. The theme in the picture is not default, it is only shown for theme working purposes.
Just flash in CWM Recovery
Issues
-------------------
-Didn't test too many things so please feel free to let me know
-The kernel will replace your cwr. For now at least
-Lyrics in music app dont work
-Built-in screenshot broken
-Be careful using themes from the builtin app. Use the ones here
Working
-------------------
-SMS
-3G
-Wifi
-Bluetooth
-Themes
-And anything else not listed above

I will look at it. I just installed the wrong theme so I have to hard reset..

Can't seem to get the Control Panel App to apply the settings.
Two more things I noticed, the trash can menu that up when deleting an icon doesn't stretch to the end of the screen, as well as the sound recorder app.

Yeah I saw those 2 and the settings app doesn't work. I will look into just removing it all together or getting the app to work.

Themes are working now, server was just really slow.
Thanks again for your hard work.

Yeah I was trying to see if I could break it and it seems to be working for me. But I found some other tiny issues if you look at the original post

The lockscreen also is not centered in some themes, making it unable to unlock the screen. I had to reflash once.

Guys if you want to fix off centered Widgets you have to set dpi to 300

Yeah thats something I can do nothing about. Check out the miui theme thread in the themes and apps forum. It has to do with the theme not ported for tablets.

Yeah but in my opinion it makes everything look like crap. But just my opinion. I am looking to mod the launcher to have more columns too.

This is great news. Good to see one of the best ROMs in my opinion, MIUI, now available for CDMA Tabs. Keep up the good work!

I'm curious if GPS works in this build.

Finally fixed SMS. Thanks JT

What do you need?
Look at Launcher.config.xml for the 16bit.
Enable landscape mode:
- Open AndroidManifest.xml
- Look for
Code:
android:screenOrientation
and change it from "nosensor" to "user"

Already tried that but doesnt work.
whats the difference between the old TouchWiz mod ??
The font looks a bit too bold for the screen. & the icons are a bit too flashy. They don't carry the subdued beauty of the background. Just my thoughts.
sweet! nice to see someone is continuing this project, but i really think you should consider making a launcher as close to stock as possible with just the added tweaks. Speed, customizable default screen etc.
Keep up the good work!
I have managed to get additional locale to the gtglauncher without decompiling gtglauncher, but then again it is not perfect, and does exhibit a strange behaviour.
Whenever I reboot the phone, it will always force close once. After that, the launcher works perfectly, no force close or whatsoever. Landscape, portrait works just like as before.
pm me if you want to know the method.
Edit: The 1st time I tried is the 16bit disabled launcher, and it force closed. When I try the 16bit version, there is NO force close anymore.
Thanks a ton for all ur hard work. A 5 icon Dock and Landscape Rotation would seal the deal. Let the donation pour in to webstar to support him.
Just a suggestion, it will look much nicer if you remove the backdrops. Currently looks too cramped and cluttered.

this theme my friends, is the best theme i ever had. cool notification bars.
im using the centered clock theme, so far the only problem that i had is the when there are too much icon in the notification bar, the icons will overlap with the clock. But again, it is normal and thanks for making my day.

MiLocker [MIUI Lockscreen for all ROM]

HI,
i found the MiLocker app.
it can apply a lockscreen for all phones, stock/rooted/CM or whatever rom/FW it doesnt matter
http://app.miui.com/index_en.html
https://market.android.com/details?id=com.miui.home
you can also get it from the market
here is the link and you can apply all the .MTZ files from XDA and else where
i tried it and it is amaing
have fun with this app
thank you, let me try
Of course it works on anything, its an application (apk) and not a MOD. Great find and thanks for sharing it.
Wanted an MIUI lockscreen without having to have to the MIUI ROM for a long time.
Thanks again.

It seems that if you reboot your cp the lockscreen doesn't work at all... I don't know why... Just sharing
I want more innovation.
I want to be able to go from the lock screen straight to particular apps. But the current ways of doing this have no security pattern (unless you also have the pattern after the MIUI lock, which is a waste if time).
I want to see multiple app icons on a lock screen and get to draw them in my pattern - best if both worlds.

[APP] 5 Row Google Keyboard

Pretty simple, I wanted to have the numbers above my favorite keyboard to allow for less key presses. Figured I'd share it with everybody.
Download Link:
http://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=23329332407574131
Instructions:
-Uninstall any current version of Google Keyboard (if it's a system/app you'll have to wipe dalvik cache in recovery after removing it)
-Install this version with a file manager
(You will need to check "Unknown Sources" in Security Settings)
Google Keyboard version=2.0.910

[APP][android 6 and 7] Material Notifications - Color for your screens [ROOT][NEXUS]

MATERIAL NOTIFICATIONS for rooted Nexus devices

How would you like to be first to try out this new theming app? How would you like to see a little color instead of stock white notifications?
I am looking for Nexus device owners to test Material Notifications. I have a Nexus 7 (2013) and I find that it runs perfectly on it, but before sharing it with the wider community, I would like to make sure it runs well on other Nexuses.
If your device is not a Nexus, or if you are using a custom rom, this probably won't work. If it does work, I would be glad to know.
Whatever device you own, make sure you have a nandroid backup before using this app. If you get stuck in a bootloop or if your systemUI force closes, you can easily sort the problem by going into TWRP, mounting your system, opening the file explorer and deleting color.apk from system/vendor/overlay. Or you can use your nandroid.
Please note that I am not responsible if you brick your phone. Only test this app if you know what you are doing.
Thank you in advance for testing. I hope you will think it was worth your while! I'm looking forward to your feedback. Cheers!

Thanks a lot for this! My understanding is that it won't work with CM, but let me know. I think only AOSP based custom roms have a chance. And stock, of course.
It installs, root granted, configured, I chose a color and then reboot OK but color is not taken into account after reboot. Will you need logs? If yes, which moment exactly?

Is the selected color supposed to be highlighted? Because it's not the case on my device. If it's not implemented, I think it should be good to know which color has been picked
