Having a tough time deciding on a case - Xoom Accessories

I thought about getting the ballistic case, but I honestly don't need something that big unless I'm out in the field in the military, and for those I don't bring my tablets, the phone is good enough
now I'm looking at the slim cases just for basic protection and I have found a few
Here are my choices -
AYL® High Quality Slim Leather Case Folio
This one is nice, but no prime on amazon (I like to use that feature for fast free shipping and get my money's worth lol) but I think the ratings are skewed because the company sends you a stylus pen if you write a positive review... so everyone is rating the damn thing a 5 star. it's ridiculous and I can't trust the reviews on that thing because of it...
Body Glove Moto Xoom Phantom Case
It's an inexpensive case that seems ok like a not as tough ballistic case, but no screen cover which I kind of want (and no tablet stand)
Acase Slim Leather Folio Case
This thing seems identical to the AYL and I can't tell a damn difference, and it has prime. some people said it doesn't stay put when you have it on tilt while you type though...
rooCASE Executive Portfolio (Black) Leather Case Cover
Now I really like this one and it looks professional but no stand for it, so I don't know about that...
Snugg Motorola Xoom Case Cover and Flip Stand
Just a very sleek nice looking case, I love that white sticthing

I just bought the rooCase and it's nice...a bit bulky, not really slim, unless you use the inner sleeve by itself, but it's very protective and the case doubles as a stand. It's like carrying around a rather thick agenda, with all the pros and cons of that.

AYL CASE
Got the AYL case 2 weeks ago, did not receive that Stylus promotion though.
Overall I would give it a 4.5/5 as its all good except that the top is closed just by pure pressie, so I'm afraid after constant usage the stitching will start to give out.
I would recommend it though. Solid case.

How about that acase slim? it looks identical...
that roocase I think is bit too much for what I want it.

I'd say go with the AYL case... it looks nearly identical, to the carbon fiber folio case from kevikev:
http://www.shop.kevikev.com/Motorol...r-Multi-View-Case-Folio-Stand-YCASECFXOOM.htm
I've had the kevikev case for about 6 months now, and I absolutely love it. I haven't even thought about another case. I notice the AYL case has a cutout for charging and ports too which is nice.

I love that case. The CF look is real nice too, I might go for that case when it's in stock. Shame not on amazon

I do not have any of those cases, I have a zoogue, but I could not use a case without a stand. No stand narrows your choices a bit.

[Q] Best thin case for Captivate

What is the best thinnest case for the samsung captivate!
Don't know what your parameter for "thin" is but I found the TPU cases from ebay to be the best. I had tried a BodyGlove case and a generic silicone case but found them too thick (the silicone case looked ugly too IMO - dull & attracted too much lint). The TPU case I got from ebay has been great - glossy yet grippy. Adds about a mm top & bottom.
I have tried three different cases and found that thr "Body Glove" seems to be the one I end up using the most. It is very thin, tight fitting and feels good while holding the phone. There are really several good choices around. This is of course IMHO.

i use the bodyglove case with the diagonal lines on the back. my brother uses the sedio one that snaps in 2 and has the smooth body. the body glove is a little thinner and looks more stylish. both are around 15-20 dollars. i prefer the body glove one because of the back actually, just adds a little touch to an otherwise plain looking phone. both are nice because they dont pick up dust and lint like the cheapo 2 dollar ones. you can tell quality by the seams of the rubber and smell. you get what you pay for. if your phone is worth 400, why spend 2 dollars on a case right?

How much protection are you wanting exactly?
Just picked up the Body Glove yesterday. Really like it, doesn't collect dust and very thin. Good fit also.

Cheap, looks good (can't really see the pattern except at a certain angle), protects great, and is the thinnest protective case I've seen.
Check these out. They are not as sticky as regular silicone skins and they are fairly thin + cheap.

Body Glove is pretty darn thin. I have one but I replaced it with the Otterbox Commuter, just to change things up. Commuter is a bit thicker but I don't mind it at all so I am sticking with it. I do recommend the Body Glove though. Good sleeve.
Plus one for body glove.
Its perfect. Smooth enough that it comes out of pocket easy, but grippy enuff that I can throw it on dashboard without it flying off with the first turn I make.
I also think it looks great, fits perfectly, and I can hold the phone without dropping it-which is the reason I wanted it in the first place
are you looking for a hard case or skin? body glove or a tpu skin is your best bet for the thinnest protection but if you want a hard case then check out Seidio innocase surface
I just got a Xmatrix case (I think its a knock off as its not rubberized anywhere) but the fit is great and gives you a near naked feel. Covers the back and adds a bit to the front edge so the screen does not touch a flat surface if you lay it face down.

Looks just like a TPU case which if you don't mind having a not as fancy case you can get the Amzer one on amazon for $5 shipped and the knockoff ones on ebay for about $3-4 shipped. But the case you linked to is one very nice looking case.
All nice looking cases. I may have to try the TPU out. Looks nice.

+1
That Amzer case does it's job very well. It protects, looks good, thin and is subtle in a good way. The fact that it is now ~$6.00 makes it an absolute steal. I usually don't buy cheap stuff for my phone (or for anything for that matter) but this case performs like a $20 case.
Only issue I have with it is that mine seem to be less snug than it was when I first got it. I only take off my case when I have to do a battery pull so it's a bit surprising that it got loose so easily. I recently bought a Otterbox Commuter to replace this case because I was getting bored with it but I wouldn't say I changed because it was necessary; it was just cause I was bored and I found a good deal for it.
+1 for the xmatrix case. It's a hard case but very slim and is a good fit without any movement or shuffling. Plus, there is a minor lip on the front so you can rest it face down.
It snaps on in the back...just one piece.
Body glove for sure best slim streamline case

ewwww. all 3 of them. tpu or ringke rearth case ftw.
Why do you say that? Do you have the Rearth? How is it? I liked these cases because they look like a colorful otterbox.
thinking about getting a ringke rearth. they look nice. i just think they're ugly because they're so fat and bulky. but you may need the protection so function over form in that case. i don't need that much protection so function and form are equal for me. i had an otterbox once for a nokia e71 and i needed it then, but it was awful big and a pain in the ass sometimes. such a pain that i started carrying in my pocket instead of holster and i lost it somehow. yes, from my pocket. i was pissed.
The 2nd and 3rd resemble the ballistic shell gel cases, but uglier. I have a rearth ringke slim and i like it. I also have a couple diztronic tpu cases and like them as well.
I ended up ordering a Seidio active case for mine $29 after taxes, I looked at other cases that would fit with the extended back but I've always gone with Seidio on my other devices and just couldn't stray away.

I have the first link case identical. I got it yesterday. The black is a rubber piece that goes around the red plastic does a very poor job. It would not survive a fall high than 3 feet. I will be returning mine. I am now looking for a white case and a good holster. Any suggestions are great.
Hmmm, i don't know which to pick. The reason I wanted to buy one off of ebay is because I have $25 ebay bucks. I originally liked the metallic but I heard it was slippery so I'm starting to think I should go with the matte black. Can anyone find one on ebay?
That first one looks sketchy, idk looks cheap. id kinda not get any of those. Just get an Otterbox, thats basically what these are posing. I realize these are cheaper but also these look it. If not then maybe their are other brands that could get you some reliability. I personally dont know because i rocked my D1 naked for two years and im rocking a cruzer on my Nexus. I also have an otterbox as a backup (thats the tough case).
I currently have the otter box but I would like to add some color which is why I am looking at these cases.

Good case with grip

I finally got my Note about a month ago and now I've been on the search for a good case with a good grip. I had a Case-mate POP for my Infuse and it was awesome.
I ended up picking up a Sparco (how ever you spell it) case from AT&T but for 40 bucks and being all plastic I knew I wouldn't like it. I ended up returning it and got a Seidio case. I thought having that black flexible material would provide a good grip but it doesn't, at least not for me, the plastic on the Seidio case provides better grip.
Not to make this to long, I'm just looking for a case that provides good protection and awesome grip. Anyone have good sugestions?
Case-mate POP for the Samsung Note....please!!!
Have you given the seidio case a thought? It looks like it was designed to give you a grip. Hehe.
Sent from my GT-N7000 using Tapatalk 2
Yes I have, I'm using the Seidio case right now and I thought it would have plenty of grip but it has less than the Sparco. When I'm texting I feel the Note slipping at times. I love the look of the Seidio but as far as actually use I can't stand it.
I'm looking at the Case Mate Tough right now but I was curious how much grip it provides. Spending another 40 bucks on a case is hard, I'm going to have more money invested in Cases than what I spent on the phone itselt haha.
Hey zkyevolved - I am using the el cheapo TPU cases that you get on ebay for less than $3. I know it sounds cheap (cos it is) but have found the build quality good, and the ribbed texture provided on each side is great for improving grip.
I've tried leather flip cases but they don't grip right. And using the note without a case is tricky - it looks amazing but is so slippery!
I was looking at those TPU cases at Newegg and the few times I've heard of them they've all been positive..and I guess for 3 bucks its not like your spending a lot to try them out.
I'll think I'll order one from Newegg and try it out.
I use TPU cases, and I just recently got this one:
http://www.ebay.es/itm/260972749866
Which is also quite good. I'll probably be using this one for a while. It was cheap, fairly fast delivery and it fits. The silicone is quite flimsy, but that's why it has the skeleton on it! It protects fairly well and it's certainly grippy. I thought this case would be a cheapo replica of the Seidio, I was wrong. If the Seidio isn't any good, then maybe the Seidio is the knock-off (and up!) case! hahaha.
Best of luck

Which case would you choose?

I've been looking for a decent case for the new nexus 7(2013).
I've searched for a few days and finally these three products caught my eye.
1. Kayscase X-shape TPU back case - $10.95
All of the reviews are pretty favorable and it actually looks pretty decent, too. However, I'm just worried that this one is kinda too thin to protect the device properly.
2. Poetic Graphgrip Silicon case - $8.95
I actually like this one the most because it looks sturdy and not too thick or thin and I'm pretty sure that this one will protect my device very well. Also, the prices is OK, too.
However, the problem is everybody is complaining about the smell. Reviewers say it has the very strong smell of either diesel or kerosene. I'm not sure putting it outside to air out will make it better or not.
3. Mivizu Neoprene Sleeve Zip case - $11.95
This one is a sleeve case. The case looks pretty decent but there are not many reviews for this one. I'm not sure it's because whether people don't like a sleeve case or this case just sucks.
What do you guys think about these three?
I'm waiting for a full matte tpu case. In the meantime I just ordered this - http://www.etsy.com/listing/112753793/new-nexus-7-case-sleeve-pouch-2nd-gen?ref=cat_gallery_1. You can mix match your colors.

I got the black smoke one they have on the Motorola site. I think its made by Incase. I found it on amazon for cheaper so I bought it there. Its not really black and more like clear smoke. I have the dev edition so it looks good and you can still see through the back and it has that soft touch feel that the ringke slim has on my galaxy nexus. I also like that it does not cover the M dimple on the back.

The power support shell is slimmer than the in case and comes with an anti scratch coating. The shell is nice in that there are no seams on the inside so it has less chance of scratching your phone. Haven't had the chance to really test it as I'm waiting for my moto x replacement but I'll snap some pics afterward. If you are into the hard minimalist case big don't want to introduce scratches, this seems the best option for now.

Received Anker case. Despite being sandy texture, the case is very slippery.
It also does not protect all corners. Highly disappointed, because its look is very nice.
Why don't all cases have the moto indentation on the back confuses me.
i bought both the poetic pallete and the bear motion cases. of the 2, i like the bear motion better with the grippier texture. However, that said, neither fit my phone well at all and won't stay locked into place. YMMV
I have bought the anker sandpaper, incipio feather, poetic, as well as two bumper cases from some HK-based vendor. Of the 3 minimalist "cases", I use the incipio the most. Truth be told, the poetic has a better (but nearly identical) texture to it, but the bottom is shaped in such a way where it digs into my small finger when holding it (I have my finger running parallel along the very bottom). If the incipio kept the dimple, it'd be my daily driver. I use the bumper cases more often than not and whenever I do grab one of the minimalist ones, it's always the incipio.

I have the Incipio Folio which includes a feather. Basically, you have a the feather case, and then you can snap that into a wallet style flip case. The only gripe I have about the feather is it contours to the phone too well... If you have the phone on a flat surface it just spins and flops around if you poke at it.
