Headphones? - Verizon Droid Incredible 2

Anyone know of some good headphones to use with the Incredible 2? I'm looking for something like the sony headphones
http://www.amazon.com/Sony-MDR-E10L...D4/ref=sr_1_33?ie=UTF8&qid=1322849895&sr=8-33 like these but with a mic/remote?
I do have bluetooth but it's a PS3 one and it's too much of a hassle to reconnect to my phone after connecting to ps3 and I prefer stereo over just one ear.

These are AMAZING! I use them with my Inc2 all the time. I got 'em when they were on sale on Amazon for $40!

Abit too expensive for me.. and i don't really like in-ear buds =/ Wait is it possible to just use my current headphones and still use the phone to speak through?

yes. i do that all the time as well as use my truck speakers with the tape adapter as my speakerphone.

I use a pair of hd sound buds I got from 5 below for, you guessed it $5. They are the best I have seen. The sound is real good and if they break I just go get another pair. They have a mic for calls too. Everyone I call says I sound real good through this headset. Cant beat $5 for a good set of buds w/ a mic. I have paid a lot more for sets that were not as good. I keep a spare set around b/c I am hard on headsets.

I use audio technica's clip on earphones, really comfortable and portable. The cable is lined with cloth, so it is a lot more sturdy than plastic or rubber, and it is near impossible to get it to tangle up, even after being tossed around in a wadded-up mess for a few days. Best headphones I have ever bought. They are a little on the expensive side, and they don't have a mic, but I listen to a lot of music, and I definitely fee like I got my money out of them.

Might wanna check out Amazon's selection of Sennheiser earbuds right now. I've always trusted in Sennheiser for great quality at a great price.
http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_s...nheiser+earbuds&rh=i:aps,k:sennheiser+earbuds
These ones:
http://www.amazon.com/Sennheiser-MK...YMF4/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1323525004&sr=8-1
are marked down from 80 to 23! And some of the reviews say 70 was a great price for the quality. The next model up retails for 120 and is on sale for 30.
Or, go to Target and get a pair of Skull Candy ink'd earbuds. They are 17 or so, and sound comparable to much more expensive sets. Was really impressed by them for paying under 20. And the noise cancellation is great, too.
I just bought a pair of sony sweet little buds:
http://www.amazon.com/Sony-MDR-EX33LP-BLU-Style-Headphones/dp/B001RB24KK
They were 20 or so, and the reviews on Amazon are pretty positive, but I don't think they sound as good as the Skull Candies at all. So they are going back to the store

I find that the urbanears bags works well with a mic for 30, or the klipsch s4a sound pretty amazing for 100. the klipsch app works pretty well for controlling headphones with one button.

The Klipsch s4 is pretty bass heavy though. The phones I prefer for compressed, on the go usage are the Klipsch S2 if you can find any variety of them.

Koss Porta Pro's. Sound great, nice sound balance, and pretty darn affordable. They have a lifetime warranty, and I believe I saw a version with a built-in mic.

I find the klipsch s4 to be reasonably balanced, but the bass is better tuned. they are squeezing a lot out of the high end.
I think that was a very complicated way to say "i agree."

What's Bluetooth phone for great quality at a great price...? Incredible 2.

I use the Skullcandy Titan model. For only $40 they're amazing. I see no reason to go above and beyond and pay $99 or $150 for Beats when these are awesome and compare to the same quality output. They're totally worth the 40 bucks.

For daily music enjoyment riding mass transit (buses/subways or trains) - a pair of in-ear, noise-cancelling headphone/mic is what I carry/use (picked up mine from a Brookstone sale 2 years ago, iphone compatible) and it is great.
The key is to install/enable/use DSP Manager on the ROM if not stock - I can fine tune the music/video settings as needed for various boost & equalization.
For the occassional oversea/long distance air travel, I take the full-sized Sony NC headset with the cups - I just don't feel the need to spend hundreds to buy into the Bose brand.
YMMV, of course.

I use the Beats by Dr Dre ear buds. They are around $75, but the difference between these and a $5 pair is I wont have to buy a new pair next week. These baby's last.

I like my cheap headphones. The sound is as good as I need it to be, they have lasted for two years now, and if I do lose them or break them I can replace them without breaking the bank. I use them on my motorcycle, in the sauna, while I work out, work in the yard, etc. I don't know that I would be comfortable abusing an expensive pair like I do these.
For me they are just like sunglasses, the cheaper they are the more I like them and the longer they last and the more expensive ones get lost, stolen, or broken right away. It's like they have an odd niche in the market for being backwards or contrary to what one would think.

HTC earphones

I know I should have made this topic before I ordered but how does everyone feel about the htc headphones for the evo? Are they good or not?
Swyped from my HTC EVO 4G via xda app
I wouldn't know. I didn't get any HTC Earbuds with my EVO. I have a friend who just bought a Desire and got a set. Curse you HTC! *shakefist*
Yea no ear buds with my evo either.
I think he probably means that he purchased the HTC earbuds. They look pretty cheap to me. I bought jlabs j3s. They are in my opinion very good for the cost.
Sent from my PC36100 using XDA App
they're probably just decent. the vast majority of headphones made by non-audio companies arent that crisp.
Any recommendations for earphones?
Swyped from my HTC EVO 4G via xda app
I'm not a COMPLETE Audiophile, but Skullcandy products have always done me well, although I'm sure there are dissenters among us
Bearing in mind I can't listen to my FLAC on my EVO, I may be off. :-\
I got some Etymotic Research er6i which sound way better then the ipod and palm pre headphones I have. You could find er6i for $70 on ebay. I also have some q-jays, which have dual armatures (speakers) per ear bud. These sound even better then the er6i. The q-jays start at $180. I'm no audiophile either.
I've always liked Skullcandy as well, a lot of the newer headphones and earbuds have a cloth cord (like a shoelace) and built in mic which is great in case you get a call. I'm looking into a new set of lowriders for my Evo.
Use loss earbuds from Walmart .20 bucks lifetime warranty included .I'm a bass freak they do the job

I also have some Skull Candy earbuds and I am very pleased with them. I dont use them often ,but they sound just fine to me for when I do. I just cant justify spending big bucks on something that I rarely use, so I dont. I bought mine at a TJ Maxx (name brand discount retailer) and paid around $8 for them

I recommend iBeats, they are the cleanest sounding earbuds I have ever heard. They come with different sized earbuds (8 different sizes) so that they will fit comfortably in almost anyones ear. I just wished the track selector on the mic worked for more than just an iPhone
Well I just got these HTC ones from amazon. Lost an earbud within five minutes lol they are really big in the ear. They stay in but leave just a slight pain afterwords. They sound decent but I am seriously having bad luck with earphones and headphones. My skull candy bulls headphones work great though with a mic.
PS I already have a slight static in the right ear, it seems to fade with louder music but I just got them so that's annoying.
Swyped from my HTC EVO 4G via xda app
I have some $10 Meelectronics ones from newegg = meh
Etymotic e6i = amazing but no mic, and they dont sound as good as the next ones...
Etymotic HF3 = all the buttons dont work for Android (designed for apple) but the HF2s are the same earphones and do work with android (supposedly) Edit: they just dont have volume buttons like the HF3
JVC marshmallows = okay for $10-15
Koss ones for $20 at wal mart = best of the lower price range, but not that durable
Skullcandy ones I got for $59 at a ski resort with built in volume but no mic = still regret losing these, they're my favorite but dont sound that great.
Sennheiser
Hi, after reading a lot of articles I got the Sennheiser MX 471 ... I posted a review and a picture with description too ... MX 471 .... Just make sure that you order from AMAZON not from other retailers on Amazon.

Haha I hope this is a joke. The Dre Beats are made by monster, not a high quality audio company. I have heard no less than 3 sets of the earbuds, and countless sets of the "studio" ones and holy **** they are terrible. My $150 Behyrdynamic DT770 Pro 80's absolutely kick the **** out of them for about half the price. More "boomy" bass out of my DT770's, actual crisp mids and highs. he studios are so so muddy, it sounds like there is a thick piece of foam isolating your ears from the actual driver.
The Earbuds are not as terrible because they still retain decent clarity but there are far far better out there.
I have a set of Klipsch S2 headphones that I got for $20 on an amazon special and they are at least on par with the Dre beat earbuds (which is sad cause I only spent $20 including free prime shipping). They have a play/pause button on em that works with my Evo and if you double tap it will skip to the next song, tripple tap to go to the previous song.
The klipsch S4i's, S5, and higher have integrated "apple compatible" remotes with volume control, and play/pause and fwd/reverse controls. Unsure if they work on anything other than an apple though.
If you ordered htc headphones i wouldnt expect anythijg better than syock headphones of any kind...Meelectronics is good for a small small budget. Depends on what kind of audio you're used to having but just don't get those heavily marketed brands such as monster because you can probably get the same quality from many other brands at a fraction of the cost! I personally have a pair of UE 10's its on amazon for 180 and I would really recommend it.
I really like my zaggbuds 25 bucks if you wait for a 50% code.

I kinda feel like a dumb ass cause I ended up getting the dr dre earphones for $100 and although I really like them they aren't blowing me away. Funny thing is that when used with my brother's iPod they DID in fact blow me away, but I'm using the EVO so eff my life...even Power AMP was no match.

best headphones?

just wondering what you guys use.
i'm looking for in ear headphones with some sort of music control/mic. under a hundred bucks is great, I love bass.
so far i've found these two guys: Klipsch Gaming earbuds, and Klipsch s4a's. I hear the s4a's have issues with some phones though.
I should mention I use power amp

problem solved. gonna use the ones that came with our phones. bass is solid, and so far they are pretty good at blocking noise.
if i find the mic/vol controls to not be worth it, i'll just buy a pair of half decent earbuds without mic control. if the OEM samsung earbuds dont provide me with mic control that I like, I doubt any expensive off market buds will do me justice.

If you want BOSE, they make a mobile headset that has mic and volume controls. It's called the MIE2i. Also, Beats make a pair called the iBeats. They are an in ear headset with GREAT sound. I own both and use them interchangeably. I will say though I give the MIE2i's a slight edge because the eargels are the most comfortable I've ever worn.
BOSE = Buy Other Sound Equipment
Klipsch S4A, made for android. S4i sounds good, when mine need replacing, I'll buy S4A's.

As far as in-ears under $100 are concerned (which Im assuming your asking for) I like the NuForce NE-700M over the Klipch s4a. Ive had them both and i feel like the highs are more crisp and it has a bit more low frequency extension.
Also if you care about bass more than clarity the AIAIAI Swirl have plenty of bump and an excellent asthetic.

Do either of those work with Android as well as S4A? To me, that's a big selling point. My S4i's are perfectly suitable sound-wise, but the lack of control sucks.

The NuForce has one button/mic combo. One press pauses/plays, two presses skips the track. The button is honestly a little flimsy though so if button is your number one concern
As for the AIAIAI it looks like the new one has 3 buttons but i cant attest to how well it works as i had an old version of the swirl with only one. I can say that AIAIAI's whole deal is that they are really well designed as far as the tangible parts so i would assume that they took a lot of care in designing the buttons.
what earphones set for Samsung Galaxy S2 SGH-t989 has best microphone ?
hi,
I've already lost the earphones that came with my new samsung galaxy s 2 SGH-t989. 1 of the reasons I got this phone was for the vlingo voice-operability that makes it good for use while driving. Does anyone know what the best ( or at least a good) earphone set is for this phone, especially with respect to the microphone quality?
thank you in advance.
monster has a BYO headset adapter w/mic that works
picked it up or $10. bought 2-one for walking around and one for the car's Aux-in jack.

Best earbuds?

Hello xda!
I'm getting a galaxy nexus next week and heard it has one of the best "soundcards" in it, and wanted to get an "higher end" earbuds than the ones that comes with it. I have beyerdynamic dt770 pro 32ohm already for home use, but im looking for earbuds that I can use on the bus/plane and when training/running. My friend has iBeats on his htc sensation and he is pleased, but sometimes he calls random people because its only meant for iphone I think? So this is what I want
- Good quality (durable)
- Good sound (Listen mostly to hiphop, dnb, metal)
- Good bass
- Volume control (dont REALLY need this)
- Compatible with android
- Price not above 200 usd
edit: Also they have to be noise cancelling. Does anyone know if the volume control thing support spotify? Thats the only music program I use and it would be really great to change song, pause and volume +/-
I'm currently using the Zagg Smartbuds. They sound great and are very durable. Its also designed to sit around your neck which I find works great for running and workouts.
It has a built in slider volume adjust which works with any phone and a single button/mic for answering calls and music control. I haven't tried spotify yet but when I use poweramp I can pause/change/play all my songs with the one button.
They are noise isolating earbuds and come with various bud sizes. They are about 50$.

Thanks, but dont seem to find Zagg here in Norway Ive heard good things about Klipsch image s4, they cost about half of the ibeats here in norway.
I'm using the Klipsch s4a model (designed for Android) and I love them. I've also swapped out the tips with Comply T-100 foam tips. They're much more comfortable, better noise cancelling and bass.
+1 for Klipsch S4's, been using them on my galaxy nexus and love the sound.
If you're looking for something instead of beats you should try ultimate ears triplefi out. I got them not to long ago and they've been working great so far.
http://www.amazon.com/Ultimate-Ears-TripleFi-Isolating-Earphones/dp/B0019RBJOE/
I use a jays one there nice but lately I have been switching to the stock headphones for the in line mic. But I think ima look into the s4a
If you want something cheap, but yet has damn good sound then I recommend the ZAGG Smartbuds. ZAGG always has 50% off coupons through their Twitter so I got it for 25 bucks. If you want something a little better and a little more expensive, then the Klipch (I think I spelled that wrong =/) is your best bet. I believe they're under 100. Good luck!
i have the Pure Pur-1000 and i've gone through many earbuds and these are the best sounding kind.
make sure you break them in correctly though-- i left mine playing on a playlist overnight-- takes around 20-30hrs though for a full break in.
I have used the Kilpsch Image s4's as well as others in here and agree they do sound great. The problem I ran into with them was getting them to fit comfortably. They are IEM's meaning the go into the ear canal. I have Sony MDR XB40EX model ear buds. They are great if you really like bass, and the overall sound quality is pretty good.
you wouldnt think this company would make great earbuds but you have to check them out best sound for the price $50. ifrogz timbre pro

Brainwavz M1

I've been using the Yamaha EPH-100. I would say its one of the best under $200. Do dig into head-fi and check reviews
These won't win any awards for looks, but they sound DAMN good for the price. Give all those higher end buds a run for their money.
Monoprice 8320
No noise cancellation, but they do isolation pretty good.
If you really like bass, but want clarity and natural sound and don't mind paying a little bit more I would totally recommend the Hippo VB (Variable Bass). They have the deepest bass of the bunch, or at least appear that way because they lack a distracting midbass hump. Their bass is also quite controlled and rich in texture, more like a good full-sized phone, and clearly performing way above its price range. You can read some reviews of people who had them (and know what they are talking about) here and get them from ebay.
Have a good one
It depends on what sort of sound you're looking for. I, for instance, appreciate the lush midrange (vocals, many instruments) of my Thinksound Rain headphones. They're durable, too. I accidentally put them through the washer and they came out just fine.
Thinksound's TS-02 would be a good model for a cell phone. I'd buy them myself if I wasn't already happy with my Rockboxed Sansa Fuze.
The guy who owns Thinksound, Aaron, is amazing. I sent him an email complaining that none of the included eartips were a good fit for my ears, and he contacted the factories in China to see if any others could be special ordered for me. The answer was no, but it's the thought that counts.
I don't know about the Klipsch. But I had the Zagg ones and decided to use my stock ones from my old xv6700 instead, just wasn't a fan.
I use skull candy 50/50. Great sound and bass. Just wish the in line mic would work.

I've been using Meelectronics as of the last year or two. They have lots of great low priced ones (my current pair is $10 and are on par with $40 pairs I've owned). They also have some higher priced ones in the $50-$80 mark, and from looking at the reviews, they're worth that much as well.
The company is all over Amazon. Check out a few pairs of their headphones and some of the reviews, and if you go with them, enjoy!

I have Sennheiser IE-8 and they are really good earbuds. Before you ask what is the best, you should give us some info on what's your budget, and music.
Will you be able to spend $400+? Are you looking for custom made IEM and can spend $900+? What interests you the most, bass, mid, or high?
Are you an audiophile at head-fi? Maybe I know you.

best earbuds for galaxy s3

so i hear this question all the time, for every phone. i personally use $15 sony earbuds, but if you are looking for the best and dont mind spending money....
The Most Intense Ear Buds Sennheiser Has Ever Made will run you about $1000 according to reviews, but i haven't found anywhere to buy them...

but seriously, i think they have some for under $20 also =)

Audio is extremely subjective. Not everyone has the same hearing, the same sound signature preferences or even budget for that matter. Headfi is a good place to get started, but in order to appreciate the sound of the headphones, words are not nearly enough You'll have to give them a listen yourself.
I own 3 headphones I use with my S3.
1st. Samsung Infuse Earphones that came with that phone when I got it back in March. Works good for me honestly.
2nd. Motorola S9-HD 1stGen. Bluetooth. Yeah they actually still work even with all my sweat in them. Sounds good but can't get good bass cause I lost my large ear cushions for them.
3rd. My Motorola S805? I believe that came with my Giro snowboarding helmet 3 years ago. Those things are also still kicking!!!
Yeah I take care of my stuff. Honestly though, clear sound is important, but holy flippin' crap I'm not spending $400 for music listening!!!
I find my s3 oem is good enough for daily use . I also have klipsch x10 which is amazing for its size the only thing bad about the klipsch is the built quality other than that the sound is superb !

Waiting for some money, then I'm getting Jays a-Jays One+. Had the ordinary One until it died, superb sound and phenomenal bass. Courtesy of my SGS and Voodoo Sound

IE800 are much, much better:
http://en-de.sennheiser.com/ie-800
They can be fitted with a cable that works 100% with Samsung Galaxy S series phones.
I have used Audeo Phonak PFE 022 and cannot recommend them: the mic is really not very good and the sound quality left me wanting compared to even Sennheiser's low end line, like mm70i.
There really aren't very many good mic-headsets that work with Galaxy S III without any additional adapter cables and w/ full inline remote controls.
I use my beats from my rezound.

Are you using any kind Portable Amplifier with your IE80?
Loving my Rock-It R50's, but it really depends what kind of music you listen to.
check out http://www.head-fi.org
Currently, Shure SE315 's. Next week I'll have VSonic GR07. However for the high-end IEM's mentioned here. What's your complete setup? Please.
SE315, Paid version of Equalizer
(fx music off) and most importantly is my fiio E6 Portable Amplifier (best $25 I've ever spent)
The IE80's, Shure 535's mentioned, please what kind of setup?
I was about to purchase the Westone 4r but the VSonic GR07 are too highly rated at half the price with the FiiO E11, It will be the music I've ever heard. But these new small portable Amplifier give us the power needed.

Headphones for workout

Am looking for good workout headphones
Any ideas?
well from my experiance I would recomend any in-ear headphones + well fitted silicone rubbers = no chance of falling off.
For better experiance I will also say: get a shirt clip-on or something like that so that cable won't tighten down and pull your ears.
It's a personal matter but I don't like any earphones that go around your ear and any of this fancy designs. in-ear headphones are perfect for running and enduro mountainbiking for me.
PS. my personal pick of in-ears: aJays two
^^^ Excellent broad spectrum advice.
I completely agree with IEMs and shirt clip. Silicon ear tips won't be as comfortable as foam (such as Shure olives or Comply), but clean better.
For more specific recommendations, please either tell us your genres/musical preference and budget or visit my guide in sig.

Comply ear tips: You really can't go wrong on those. They sell kits with different sizes for you to experiment, and when you're sure of your perfect size you can order a whole box of those. They feel amazing and stay in your ear whatever workout you're using. You just have to worry about your phone falling out of your pocket while exercising, which happens to me quite often.
Do you mean headphones or earphones?
For headphones, get yourself the Sennheiser HD 25-1 II Basic Edition.
I've got them as well, light weight, better than best sound quality.

Well, I would prefer the likes of SONY or BOSE.
The ones from SONY have an ear clip & are hung on the ear. The ones by BOSE have a unique shape that just doesn't let 'em fall &/or get wet!!
secgan srvcess
Sennheiser has good sports headphones

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Okwl_ZPHC7g I got this and the jaybird...after a period of time I decide to keep the S11 and selling the Jaybird
I use my PortaPro's for workouts, they're holding up just fine and get the job done. Sound amazing too, though they're supra-aural so the sound isolation is near nonexistent and sound will leak out at high volumes
Jlab jbuds j4 are decent in both price and sound about 35 bones from amazon

Don't get the Motorola Bluetooth earphones or the Motorola Sport earphones. Both pair died after about 6 months. I did not drop them or step on them. I think the sweat killed them.

Im using Sennheise PMX 685i. Work very well for workouts and just daily use. I find the sound to be very acceptable as i cant use inner ear only buds. Very happy with them but i did over pay for them at the airport $99AUD instead of $50AUD outside of the airport
The monster isports have been the best I have ever used. Around $65 through Amazon

I use some jbuds that I got on Amazon. 6 dollars and impressive quality for something so cheap.
I would suggest iBeats Headphones
I'd recommend Sennheiser cx300 II (in-ear). They would stick to your ears really nice and won't fall out (at least not whilst running/bike riding/skating (skateboard), haven't tried different sports with them). They don't break too fast either and ain't that expensive (paid 45€ for mine at Saturn in Germany).

Skullcandy fix in ear headphones are perfect for working out.

Beats by Dre.
you need something light, durable and good sounding:
If you need isolation then look for an earphones like Vsonic, Brainwavz etc... There are many very nice sounding things under $50
If you don't need isolation, either a earbud like Yuin pk3 or Hisoundaudio PAA-1 pro, or a light headphones like Jays V Jays or Portapro
I run with SONY MDR-AS50. They work great for me.
