[resolved] Samsung dive mobile tracker - Galaxy S II Themes and Apps

EDIT: This is a lot better: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1377918
Hey guys I need the samsung dive apk, please can someone give it to me? Thank you so much!
Sent from my GT-I9100 using XDA App

samsung dive apk? . You need to go to accounts & sync in the settings menu, create a samsung account then log into that account via your pc
www.samsungdive.com

I suppose you refer to this: http://download-apk.blogspot.com/2011/10/apk-default-samsung-galaxy-s2.html
Look for all the apk's related to Samsung Dive.
By the way, I read (I think around this forum) it is not possible to install apk's from stock room in AOSP custom roms, so if you have CyanogenMod or MIUI its probably not possible to go back to Samsung Dive. There are other options anyway .
Hope it helps.

I found a simillar app called Lmaxi anti theft.. you might want to check it out..
It has many interesting features such as it runs almost invisible on the phone (the app is only accessible from the dialler), remote lock via sms, HARD RESET PROTECTION (root), etc..
Check below..

Strange ... if one take a look at this applications list of Permissions ... SMS and Location (GPS) are missing. How can this application send SMS and link to map with location without those permissions ???

ok i noticed that.. it probably need a paid version for those features to work.. because the app itself is just an installer not the actual apk, not sure what are the actual permissions it requires..
this one might be better

Can Nexus ICS email client coexist with S3's?

Hi Everyone! I'm new to this forum.
I've been using a Galaxy Nexus for a while (unrooted).
Recently, switched to a verizon Galaxy S3. The phone is unrooted and I hope to keep it that way.
One complaint I have with the S3 is the font size of the email inbox listings.
I really love to use more of that screen real estate to display more text like the client on the Nexus.
I read this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1760741 and few other threads here using
the Search function about alternatives and possible solutions.
I also found this very helpful thread by AndroidFan4
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1728308
But the instruction replaces the stock S3 email client and the phone needs to be rooted.
Is it possible for me to install the ICS Nexus email client like an app while keeping the original S3 email client?
Is it possible for me to do above while unrooted?
Any possible downside of doing above?
Thank you all... this is my first post and I hope I did it in the right place.
No it replaces it.
What exactly is it you want? I cant understand how you're describing the issue. Ans what exactly did you want to keep that the google version doesnt have?

Thanks for replying....
In short... I'm hoping to install/run the email client from Nexus/ICS as an installed app (is that possible?)
Maybe even running it off inside the /sdcard folder?
I'm just hoping that by doing that... I won't have to have my S3 rooted and I dont mind keeping the S3's native email client around.
When you try to install it it says its a system app and it will replace. I'm not sure what would happen if you're not rooted. But you could easily swap it if you were rooted.
What is it about rooting that puts you off?

It's a company phone... and technically not my property...
It will replace the system app? It will do that even if the names are different?
So if I renamed the Nexus email app to EmailNexus.apk or something..would it still replace the SecEmail.apk?

You can rename it what you want. The system does not take account of what the apk is actually called.
For example:
SecEmail.apk - Samsung modified email
Email.apk - Android standard email
Both are known to system as "Email 4.0".
Like on a windows computer, you can rename dropbox.exe to sponge.exe but when its installed, windows still knows its dropbox. If you had dropbox installed and tried to install sponge.exe, it would want to modify, repair or remove it as it is already installed.
Hope that helps you clarify.
There are 3rd party email clients in the play store. Maybe they would be worth checking out.

Exactly the answer I'm looking for.... that clarifies my question.
So either 3rd party, wait for update or just root + ICS Email.....
I'll think about it....
Thanks again rootSU!
Well you can back up the s3 email app and replace it

Save apps to PC and access wide range of application on Play Store

Hello All...How have you been..!!
This might seem to be a duplicate post, but I thought of sharing the information to collate all the processes to save APKs from the market place as well as to get access to wide range of applications on the play store to which we ACE user don't have access..
Well found two processes...
1. For Custom Rom lovers, it is a regular heck to download all the application from market place after each format.. or get the apks from some third party site... So why not back up all the APKs from Play Store itself...
For that I found an awesome application on XDA called REAL APK LEECHER... which allows one to save the apks straight away to their PC and also scan for any updates..
The steps to do so can be found here..
But now there is a loop hole ... you can only download the apps compatible to your device model (corresponding to the Device ID)..
Now the trick though a stupid one...
Simpler way :: Ask your friend having a high end model to add your gmail ID to his/her device... and then access Play Store for at least once.. Take his/her Device id (using *#*#8255#*#*) You are done.. Remove the account... Register the device id/gmail Acc on APK leecher and access most of the apps..
But your friend might not allow to share his/her device ID, what to do now...
Harder way :: Google for some Random Device ID ... Use some app on the play store to change your device ID... Download at least one app from play store... You can again access all the apks using the above process..
2. Well found another application... This is the best.. though it is not free... is the Device Spoofer app...
Spoof you device to any given model... Download as many apps possible..
These helped me... I guess might help some one else too...
I download apps & each time they get updated, I send them to my another phone using bluetooth file transfer & then save them to pc. Much easier right ?

The process seems to be useful for users like me who have slow & limited data usage plans.. Moreover updates done over PC..
Rest the Device Spoofer is an awesome app.. Now i have access to almost all the apps on play store...

It's nice that you can be linked to apps that your device doesn't support remotely but the process seems to be quite complicated and not everyone has a friend willing to share their gmail stuff...

Thats true enough... But the APK Leecher rocks...
N i would suggest everyone to try out the device snoofer... Simply awesome and easy 2 use...

[Q] cleanup browser search history

Hi guys,
I have noticed I tend to accumulate a lot of search history when using the internet browser (stock)
I have a T-Mobile Stock (rooted) GS4 and want to find an app from the market, or anyplace,
that can clean the search history for me using one button execution.
All the "history cleaners" I have tried, say they cleaned history, but soon as I open the browser and type something the old searched items are still showing up.
I'd be most appreciative if someone could point me to the solution other than manually deleting each day of history searches!
Mahalo!
Try clean master the masterpiece according to me....

+1 to the above, and the other two previously mentioned don't do the job. Try searching for something and then close browser.
re-open browser and as soon as you touch the search line the same search item is there below!
Clean using the apps mentioned, and still they appear again... not working..... :<(
Is there anyone who knows of an app that will clean the search history?...........
Thanks tho, guys!

How about History Cleaner:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=mobi.infolife.eraser
Has a Browser history record erase option.
In addition, it has a Widget which you can setup and decide which files are cleaned:good:
I'd post a screenshot, but all of a sudden am unable to upload attachments from my S4 for some reason. Files won't attach.
The Playstore has images which show the Browser History option.
I use the app myself, in addition to a different browser which has the option to erase history when exiting.

I hear ya. Here's a partial description from tthe apps site:
"It's a history eraser for android device, and it can clean history of apps by only one tap. It's similar to the "ccleaner" on PC. It can help you to protect your privacy, and it can also help you to free up the internal storage. No root premission required!
Feature:
★Clear Browser History
★Clear Call Log
★Clear text messages
★Clear Market Search............"
Maybe if you contact the Developer, he can explain or offer a solution as to why the Browser History isn't being erased, even though the description describes this as a feature.

Activity Zone from Galaxy S5 Active

The Galaxy S5 Active has a new app called Activity Zone which gives you the Barometer, Compass, Flashlight, and Stopwatch. It works perfect on our Note 3 (any variant) without installing any additional packages. Enjoy.
The Exercise link in the menu seems to crash the app. I added S Health to the list, but there is no way to remove Exercise from that menu

Okay, thanks. I will try to remove it.
To Anyone: feel free to make any changes if you want to the app but please share.
Are all these permissions really necessary? I don't think I've ever seen an app asking for so many before....kinda leery about installing it...

Those permission might be due to the fact that those apks use the smart watches in some manner.

That may well be the case, but even if it's something to do with a smartwatch, why would a barometer, compass, flashlight, and stopwatch need to do things like read my messages, modify my contacts, read my bookmarks and web history, modify accounts, or "add or modify calendar events and send email to guests without owner's knowledge" (just as a few examples)?
I'm not saying that the apk is modified or malicious, and I'm not trying to insinuate that the OP (or anyone else) is up to something nefarious or anything like that. But again, why does a barometer, compass, flashlight, and stopwatch need to be able to read (and modify) all my private data and accounts? I'd like a clear explanation from someone more knowledgeable than I of why such all-encompassing permissions are actually needed before I go installing something like that.

As far as I know, those permissions are for the exercise part of the apk which requires the heart rate sensor either on the S5/S5 Active or the Gear.
I can assure you, I just grabbed this apk from the S5 Active firmware
The permissions are so you can share things such as your location, altitude, etc. Nothings modified. Thanks @princeferoz for a great share!

Thanks for the response. Like I said before, I wasn't saying the OP had modified the apk or anything like that, just wanted further clarification. My phone's about to die, but I'll install it as soon as I get it charged up and check it out. Thanks!.

any flashable galary app where pics can be hid

Hi all, I wanted to know if there is any flashable custom gallery application for N7100 where we can easile hide our pics so that we dont have to install any third party apps or vaults. These vaults may sometime create problems and as a result our pics get deleted. I just want a simple solution where there would be a standalone app like our normal gallery but with the functionality of just hiding any desired folder by a pin. Thats all. Please do share if there is any. Thanks to every one.
