My Experience With Negri Electronics - Samsung Galaxy Nexus

So after some confusion, Negri Electronics has redeemed itself. Before this edit, I felt really sketched out by Negri Electronics because there was no communication.
GN should be here tomorrow, prompt shipping, and support. I'd recommend that if you're buying within the US to go through them. Thank you.

It just seems all too sketchy.

i got mine from them and i live in canada.
i think i checked out on thurs, and their shipment was on fri. fedex delivered mine on monday before noon.
it really depends on their shipment date. even if i checked out on tues or wed, they wont ship till fri for me. so i was really lucky to get it before their shipping date =)

They're legit, got my i9020A from them.

Got mine from them. They shipped within 30 minutes of me ordering it. And when you get an option to leave a message on their phone, that just means the phone is busy. Keep trying.
In fact, they are probably one of the best places I've ever purchased an item from.

I got my shipment email just now so, all my worries are pretty much gone at this point. I got it literally five minutes after this posted. I feel a little dumb now, but I was generally concerned.

I ordered mine on Wednesday of last week. I called Thursday because they didn't email me the tracking number or any shipping information. So i called them and they said they ship everything at 4pm PST. And sure enough i got a email around that time providing me with a tracking number. So i say dont worry.

They did great with my Galaxy Nexus shipment. If you want..check with them on Twitter. They've got near-instant response times on there. I believe they were having issues with that email box. The other day when I submitted an email inquiry and they had me redirect to a different account which was resolved very quickly.

You paid HOW MUCH!?
You can go get one from Handtec.co.uk shipped across the pond to your door for under $700... honestly why didn't you?

Their twitter is terrible,
spamming every minute

I ordered from them last week when Expansys screwed everything up. They shipped it within 30 minutes of my order. Got it next day no problems. They did tell me on the phone though that Amazon check out was quicker for some reason than google checkout.. No idea why though.

My experience with Negri was excelent...

I got mine from Negri as well, took only one business day

They're on the west coast. Its extremely conceivable that you won't get your confirmation email till around this time. Someone's gotta be the first shipment, and someone's gotta be the last shipment. There's no guarantee that you'll get your e-mail conf by a specific time of day. All that matters is that the package left today.

Found out that they're in the same state as me (NV). So, I take back what I said about them, and if I could I would delete this thread.
I apologize if anyone from Negri Electronics is reading this. Naturally, I was just skeptical, and hopefully you could understand where I'm coming from.
Very relieved now. Should be getting it tomorrow. Thoroughly impressed. Definitely went from extremely sketched out to impressed.

i just did live chat with them as well and they are shipping when it is released sim free, so i suspect they do have them in but are not allowed to ship until the 1st but then you have a bank holiday weekend so that would mean next day would still be the 6th as quoted.
I ordered yesterday and emailed them to see if my order would be sent out in the first batch this week, but got a reply saying it would be with me this week.
I think the person who sent email back to me forgot about bloody easter weekend so it will be next week I imagine.

I had the same thing. I expect prices to drop, but not in the space of 2 days. Suffice to say, I sent them an email pointing this out and got told that once I have my phone if I get in touch again, I'll get refunded. Worth emailing them

Price of phone was £5.99 and they've now reduced it to free on that contract
mine has not changed to sent yet and i was in town today and they have them in stock in our tmobile shop ready to sell tomorrow, i was thinking it may be worth a trip down, see if they will match the deal and then cancel the one for mpd. I also had a phone call from vodafone saying they are selling the now (early) but they could not match the price though not far off.

I purchased mines from Negri Electronics and could not be happier. I recieved her today the packaging was secure and full of surprises. Enclosed was the unit wrapped in a nice bag, a USA wall plug (to compensate for the UK version), an ANDY Android figurine (nice touch) long with a thnk you card from them. The Item shipped Black Friday a day after Thanksgiving, Only because they worked there tails off on Thanksgiving itself to make sure all there units shipped Friday. For that I thank them. I could not have been happier with my choice!

To answer your question about my purchasing experience, it has been good so far. I placed an order with Handtec last Wednesday. If it wasn't for the volume bug I would have received it by Friday. I should have it Tuesday morning at the soonest.

I also ordered "mines" from Negri. It's arriving Wednesday. The experience dealing with them was great so far. Knowing what's in the box (unless I don't get a figure ) is even better! Recommended as well.

The only difficulty was deciding whether or not I should purchase one, since I owned both the N1 and Galaxy S I thought it would be rude not to go for the GNex.
Once I'd decided, it was a matter of popping down the high street during my lunch break to grab one. I was in and out within 5 minutes, so all in all MINES was a rather pleasant experience.

Mixed bag but then I expect no less from Expansys. Phone is here, I'm at work, delivered on time, no issues. I've got a billing issue that I've sent 3 emails in five days, holiday excluded, and no reply.
This fits squarely with my past dealings with Expansys: Product delivered on time as described with crappy customer service.
Got mine from local Phones4U store day after official launch. Went in when it opened to find out they put the sim free price up overnight by £80 to £629 . Didn't buy it.
Phoned head office to complain. They confirmed price increase. I told them about an official phones4u tweet sent earlier in the day that the price would be £549 so they arranged £100 off from local store. Went back and picked it up for £529. Next day, the price went back down to £549.
Bunch of jokers. Only bought from there as didn't want to wait a week for my pre order from clove.

That fits my situation as well.
On time, as described.. haven't needed customer service yet.. hopefully won't need it.
Ordered through Negri, cancelled it because Expansys assured me Friday delivery was a go.

Through Expansys-USA, yes. You have to send the phone to them and in-turn they send to the UK for repair. Never had to go that route, but I image it's a long process...
Better than nothing though.
Ugh, it's been a huge fiasco, and I still don't have a phone!
Originally, I ordered last Friday (8 days ago) on Expansys USA for $750. On Saturday (seven days ago), I noticed that handtec would ship to the USA from the UK, it would come out to $50 cheaper, and it looked like it would get here first (at the time handtec seemed very proactive and confident they would ship my order ASAP).
On Saturday I sent a cancellation email to expansys, ordered from handtec, and waited. When Monday came, expansys cancelled my order no problem, and handtec needed all sorts of information (my passport + utility bill) to confirm my address, so my order didn't even get fully processed until Tuesday thanks to time zone differences.
Finally, Tuesday rolled around and they announced they were going to stop shipping because of the bug - I emailed them immediately and asked they send it anyway, they gave me the 24-48hrs BS, and eventually gave me Monday. Bullsh*t.
In the end, if I had kept my Expansys order, I probably would have my GN by now, and I wouldn't be hoping a UK company gets stock they claimed they would have a week ago. At least they upgraded to expedited shipping. .

Expansys experience... incompetent, unlucky, I really don't know.

I'm sorry I just need to vent this, mostly because they have been horrible at communicating and have yet to respond to prior inquiries.
This entire order/experience has been botched from the beginning. I ordered Thursday morning requesting overnight shipping for delivery on Friday. Apparently the bank flagged this transaction as suspicious but I never received an email/call/contact of any kind from Expansys until late Thursday night. I just happened to check the status on the website and noticed that there was an issue about 20 minutes before your offices closed, so I called and was on hold for almost 35 minutes (at this point past closing time) and no one ever picked up. I then called today, Friday, to request priority overnight shipping for Saturday delivery and to change the shipping address to my home address (as I was originally expecting to have it delivered Friday at work). The man I spoke with said it would be an additional charge for Saturday delivery, to which I agreed. Now I get the tracking number for "standard overnight" which will be delivered to my home on Monday while I will of course be at work! Additionally, I was still charged for the priority overnight shipping and Saturday delivery! I'm not taking off work to receive this shipment so I imagine I'll have to drive way out to go get it from their sorting facility.
The end result is that something that was ordered with overnight shipping on Thursday will be arriving on Monday, if I'm lucky enough to have the time to go pick it up myself. This could have been completely avoided had you not dropped the ball more than a few times. At this point I'd like my shipping costs refunded, or someone get a hold of FedEx in time and have that packaged delivered on Saturday. How does this happen?

That's not Expansys' fault.
My transaction from them was superb. Phone in my hands hours after ordering.

They had about 7 hours from when they knew this before close of business that day and did not contact me in any fashion. Their FAQ even implies this happens to them often. One would think they might want to get in touch with someone who requested/paid for overnight shipping at some point before it was too late. Instead I had to find out myself and when I did and tried to contact them it was like everyone skipped out of work 30min before office closing time. The next day, still no contact until I called them and what do they do? They botched things up royally again and charged me more money. Just not smooth or impressive at all.
I'm on the hook for freaking $40+ for "overnight" shipping that is going to take from Thursday to Monday (Monday at best since it will not be shipped to my work). Can you even call it a "delivery" if I'm the one who will be driving 14 miles out to a FedEx facility to pick it up?
I just find it amazing that I talked to the same rep twice today about the shipping thing, confirmed, yada yada.. Even charged correctly for it. But then they still managed to drop the ball.
I ordered mine from them and my bank did the same thing. Didn't you notice where it said if the delivery and billing addresses don't match additional security checks will be needed? It said it right at the bottom of the order confirmation page you get right after you submit your order. I called and got it squared away preemptively right after I ordered. It took 23 hours for me to get it.

i also want to add in experience for NEWEGG.COM
I ordered from newegg.com, rather than expansys, mobilecity, pvcs, or any other specialty shops, because newegg is an established and credible retailer; ive purchased stuff from them for over 10 years.
i paid for expedited shipping because i travel often, and i needed it to arrive home at a precise time.
2 days after ordering, my order was still "processing". then i finally received an email saying Order on Hold - phone # or address does not match credit card information.
i called back immediately, but was placed on a 20 minute wait before being able to speak to an agent. (the online chat service had a similar wait). the agent confirmed that my information was 100% correct, but that she would need to forward this information to the "security team", and the order would not ship until cleared by security team..... despite, yes, that she herself was able to confirm my information, as entered, was 100% correct
i canceled the order, and im never buying from them again
Overall, Expansys is pretty decent to work with. Their systems are only semi-automated which means inventory levels shown on their site are wrong and back-end communication is almost totally manual. They're very good at after sale follow-up even though their bankers hours can be frustrating when you need to talk to some one. They and Negri are the only two that provide warranty support and that's a plus that goes on longer than the initial purchase which is a one time event.
P.S. - NewEgg's international phones have no warranty so the last poster may have dodged a bullet.

After my experience I whole heartedly disagree about their "after sale follow up". I got my Nexus S from Negri and things went smooth as butter. I have no idea why I didn't go with them this time. Negri from here on out for me.

Good luck with the warranty from negri. I think someone posted that they had a problem with their SGN and negri blew them off.
My experience with Expansys
I pre-ordered via website and gave them PayPal. They emailed me to confirm and told me that I would need to confirm again once the stock arrived.
Then they emailed me and said "we've got the stock, please confirm the mailing address, method and payment". I did and the parcel arrived 4 days later (with the Thanksgiving Thursday in between).
All was well and smooth with my order, I have no complaints and I am loving my Galaxy Nexus. Thanks Expansys.

I dont remember the exact days but about 2 weeks... Took about a week for them to ship it and about another one after it was shipped. It also matters when you bought it. If you were one of the first to buy it and got into the first batch, you will get it a little bit sooner!
Figures this would happen two days after I finally bite the bullet and just order through Negri after waiting a while for a deal to pop up somewhere.
Oh well, at least I will have it earlier.

The site offers great deals, but customer service is practically non-existent. Your credit card will be charged immediately when you make a purchase, but the product might not ship for two weeks (which is what happened in my case so it took three weeks in total to get the product to my door). There is no number to call and don’t expect a reply to any emails you send them for two days, if at all. Know that all sales are final, so, if you are in the US and have a problem with a grey market product, which this phone is, you will have to ship it internationally to get it fixed.
Caveat emptor.

I just bought a used one on craigslist last weekend for $500 so when I saw this last night I was a bit pissed off I didn't wait longer. I put a craigslist ad last night for $550 and had someone offer $600 this morning if I delivered it to him (20 mins away). I literally just deposited the money now and ordered this one for $530 brand new....a bit crazy but now I won't be OCD about my phone trying to figure out if any scratches were there before me.

I've noticed some bad feedback but I've also seen many people have no issues whatsoever. I think it's mostly people who get impatient and don't read the whole taking up to 6 business days to ship thing. Also, a lot of items are specifically stated as refurb where as these are said to be new in retail packaging. I read somewhere using paypal is a good move since you get the buyer protection if the item is broken etc.
My gut feeling says this deal is some cellphone reseller trying to clear it's stock and dailysteals will gather up a bulk orders and order a high volume from them at the end of the 24 hour period. So our money is used first to buy what we ordered and I'm assuming that's why it may take up to 6 business days to ship to us.
I purchased a new open box GN for $529 but returned it once I learned (after contacting Samsung) that the warranty is only valid if the receipt shows it was purchased in the country it will be repaired in. I was surprised as Samsung US never asked for my receipt when I sent my Nexus S in. Bought one from Negri instead so I have a warranty if anything goes wrong in the next 12 months.
i think that most sites like dailysteals and 1saleaday you are paying for the cheap price, not quick shipping and customer service
it sucks to wait and the tracking is usually terrible but the item does arrive eventually
I'd be all over this if I didn't have my extended battery which I need and would kill the white color .

They posted it up at 9pm Pacific time and my brother ordered it at 9:15pm. I think he's one of the first to order it, but still hasn't received it yet. I'll keep you guys posted.

I'm curious what build this will come with after reading multiple threads on the yakju vs yakjuxx builds.
Just so you know, DailySteals took a LONG time to ship on the first deal and I NEVER got a tracking email. However, I was able to track it by going to UPS's tracking website and using my order number as the reference number. Remember to select "Track by Reference".
The version I got from them was a South Korean model with the Google build on it. However, others reported getting one from China, so it depends what batch you get. I believe everyone I spoke with had the Google build on it.

I would give it 6 business days before you contact them. My status still says open as well (I check it way too much for my own good) but their site said the 6 business day thing with the occasional slight delay depending on the product. I ordered mine at 11am EST so I'm hoping I'll be on the first batch of shipping.
I'm going to try the order number with the UPS site as someone here has mentioned. Let's definitely post on this thread when we see any updates and/or receive our phones to give the rest of us a good idea of when to expect our goodies.

i talk to live chat from razer support and they told me its normal since its coming from hong kong. however, it will take up to 5 more days to process!! =(

I emailed Fed Ex and told them "Dimensions 35x30x7 cms" shown in the tracking i information I got from your website are length and/or width. If the fool in customs clearance is too ignorant to know that, then they shoild be looking for a new job.
That bad part for me is, once it finally makes it to the US destination, I have to wait 8 more days for it for it to be sent to me at my APO address. Had I known it was coming from HK, I could have had it shipped direct to my Korean apartment address.

i just called and raised hell. I told them I am well aware that they are holding up 100s if not 1000s of packages for the same reason they are mine and you all's. He told me he can also clearly see weight and dimensions in the info, but I have to wait and call back in an hour when the IPD(International package distribution) department opens. Anyone want the number? 18002474747. opens at 10 am EDT.

I just got off the phone with FedEx International Dept. and they told me it's a bulk shipment that cannot clear customs as it stands now. They said no idea as to when it will clear!!!! Once it clears 24 to 48hrs until delivery. This SUCKS!!!!

The Microsoft store 30 mins away from me have plenty instock and Ill be hear waiting for days to get mine. This is BS.
Looks like that have now release the hold. It is showing Friday shipping for me now.
Just a heads up for anyone thinking about maybe getting a refund.
Mine just cleared, still scheduled for delivery tomorrow before noon..

mine has been released and is moving again. I spoke for everyone that had a phone stuck in Memphis so I hope everyone's else is released and moving as well.
I wouldn't be too happy guys the shipment cleared TN and went back to AK and it look like it's going back to China I'm like you waiting for the phone.

What method of payment did you use?
I spoke with PayPal earlier today & they told me that if I refused delivery, as soon as that shows up in the shippers tracking (FedEx), you will receive a refund instantly upon request....................Ditto if you could show a current customs issue/hold.
If using PayPal Credit, the refund process is going to be much longer, up to 90 days, which is typical for any refund on PayPal Credit. You're not liable for any payments on the credit amount or interest, but, for it to go away completely, three months on PayPal Credit.
I'm going to call PayPal again, to get a 2nd opinion, just want to make sure the answer is the same & if so, I may refuse delivery, not too pleased with the runaround with Razer, no phone support for orders, just chat & email.

I was gonna refuse shipment,but,after another call to PayPal,refunds aren't "instant" after refusing shipment,as I was told earlier today.
At minimum,not until the returned merchandise is actually received by Razer & probably guessing a few days tacked on to that.
My reasons for returning were two-fold:
1) Not pleased with the lack of telephone call support for order issues.
2) Ordering from the Microsoft store would save on state sales tax (none for me,YMMV depending on which state you reside).
The savings on the sales tax,while it is a decent amount,in my case $56,isn't worth the extra hassle of returning it to Razer & awaiting the refund process.
My angst w/Razer will subside by tomorrow & as if I'm gonna refuse delivery on a new toy,LOL.................. :laugh:

wow that is pretty confusing. it looks like it was on a later shipment, and looks like it went straight to AK. then somehow made a trip to China and back to AK.(in a matter of hours) Maybe all these orders overwhelmed Fedex. Yours shows red but says it's been released. Our travel info is completely different too.
* after reading all the confusing wordage again, it almost seems like it was scanned for AK destination before it left, but then got held in China to get proper documentation, so it wouldn't have the same problem ours did.

It seems they cleared the restriction yesterday at Memphis. Mine was delivered home this morning but no one was at home. They took it BACK!!!. I might go to one of the Fedex facilities to pick it up myself. Well, the refund time sounds ridiculous. Can't wait to see the phone in my hands...Wish you all the soonest delivery at your door~
