After few weeks of hardworking, just got ice cream sandwich run on my kindle fire.
moooom.dyndns.info/?p=107
Things works:
1. Touch pannel.
2. Hardware graphics
3. Audio
Things don't work:
wifi, accelerometer, light sensor.
I'll release my kernel codes and android source after cleaning up.
Cheers!
Edit: [14-Dec-2011]
Audio works now.

That is good news. Can't wait till all this comes together. TWRP and some Ice Cream Sandwich. Will be awesome. Great job and keep it up!!!

Have you contacted JackpotCalvin? Perhaps you two can work together on the project.

Great work!

This is awesome news!! Thanks for all the work you folks are putting into this device in such a short period of time!

Regards and congratulations on great work.

Very happy to know, although will services like Amazon Cloud still work once on Custom ROM?

The fact that you also have issues with sound leads me to believe there is a driver issue with sound in CM7 and ICS?

I think you guys should work together on it. About every ROM I know has had someone helping out and such.

i also believe that a joint effort would be better and i hope you guys can work together, also atinm from teamhacksung was thinking of doing some kf work once things got going ( cause he already has a lot of devices on his table xD), can't wait to get my kf, awesome job.

Just another reason why I love my kindle fire.

Very nice work sir! Hopefully we can get some source and driver love in the near future! Just wondering, Honeycomb SDK in emulation mode re-sizes with some phone specific elements, etc. when resolution is adjusted. Is that something that might be portable as well, or is that aspect too raw and basic at the moment? As well, is there a phone apk hidden in there? I haven't had a chance to dig thru it, too many hours at work, school, and the new small business.
Wow this is a giant leap for the g2 phone. Definatly going to watch how sweet this rom gets hopfully soon wishfull thinking rite lol great job everyone who is making this possible

[ROM] [WIP] [Beta] Ice Cream Sandwich Beta 1.0 [12/9/2011] [AOSP]

I figured I might as well start a new thread for this since we have taken over the development and maintenance of this Rom.
We couldn't have made it nearly as far as we have without these people (listed in no particular order):
-Protekk
-aeroevan
-twistedumbrella
-grouper
-palmercurling
-times_infinity
-superkid
-Google
-sbrissen
-OMJ
-HTC
-touchpro
-jcase
-CM
This rom is still in pre-alpha stages. Test at your own risk. It includes GAPPS, SU, etc..
* I shouldn't even have to say this, but I know I do: We are not responsible for anything bad that happens to your phone!!
* We will try to keep up with all questions posted here but please remember that the more time we spend answering questions, the less time we have to work on the rom.
http://xda.silentjoker.com/rm2011/IceCreamSandwich/Roms/NTSH_BETA_1.zip
I will start with what IS working:
-now booting from system
-SD card now works
-Radio working
-3G
-Wifi
-EGL
-audio
NOT working:
-USB mount
-camera
ICS
You are awesome!
Thanks for being a superhero! I personally would love an AOSP Ice Cream Sandwich rom without CM's customizations. Keep it up

Haha, thanks but I can't take all the credit. Touchpro has been doing the majority of the big changes, I am just trying to keep everything organized and up to date for everyone, and offer what I can. I think that is what is missing from a lot of roms. All the other devs listed on my github have also contributed.

The build that's on the git is from the sdk.
I just ported a source one from here:

It's booting w/ boot manager. I haven't done anything with it yet.
I hope someone can get this booting from the system w/ the touchscreen drivers.
If anyone needs me to send them something just pm.

Can I have my jellybeans and eat them too?!

First off, I would just like to thank all the devs who have worked like mad men on giving all us dinc users some delicious Ice Cream Sandwich, for without your amazing work I surely would have thrown my phone in a fit of rage into a wall a loooong time ago. Now, even though there's no official word yet, until later this morning , I think it's safe to assume that Jellybean will end up being named Android OS 4.1 instead of 5.0 (ICS, but with improvements). With all of this in mind, is it possible that we could actually get some JB love? I understand that we'll have to wait until they release the source code to know for sure, but with what we've heard so far it sounds like it actually could be possible. Idk, am I just missing something obvious here?
P.S. I'm asking this mostly because I'm trying to get my posts # up (I'm new here, be nice), although I'd love if we could entertain this thought for a moment. I think I only have like 2 posts so far (cuz I ACTUALLY search for stuff, WOW!!!!) so bear with me, please and thank you!
I'm planning on making android 4.1 available on this phone.

Because of the determination our lasting devs have. I mean I never thought I'd see sense 4 on the DInc, even ICS.. working completely fine now.

From what ive seen ics doesn't really push our GPU or CPU that hard. I think our phones should run it great.

The guys over here (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1778190) are doing a bang up job of getting Jelly Bean on the ol' Dinc.
I've upgraded to a Dinc2 and then a GNex, but keep all three... two with data plans, one only gets used as a bathroom VoIP phone, games, and access to my Google data.
Never know when you'll want to play Jewels or make a call when on the can. OK, OK... TMI.
In any case, you should get over to their thread and show some love. What they have now is almost a daily driver. If you can live with some minor glitches, it is a daily driver.

I'm guessing too that the status of HWA and Butter are basically dependent on Evervolv. So, those parts of your builds will probably correlate with Evervolv's?

Nope. I've already stripped out a lot of things I don't use from the build that I ran today and plan to keep it that way. Drk-hd is working on CM10 looking at his github and I'm sure he'll do a better job than I can do.

Correct. Basically everything that doesn't work in any other rom doesn't work here either. The only thing broken that does work in the others (to my knowledge) is voice search (it never stops listening to you).
Great, thanks for the info and for sharing your build.
I'll just patiently await Drk_HD's builds.

I've got a stupid noob for you about your CM10 build. If I wanted to build my own from the CM source and I followed Drk-hd's instructions in his github, I'm not clear how to incorporate the Evervolv inc code. I see a line where he grabs his github directory for the inc. I think the line he refers to as finishing setting up the repo. Should I replace his with the respective evervolv repo?
sorry, might be a dumb question but I'm new to the whole Android source code thing. Just looking to make my own builds so I don't have to wait for everyone else's.
Thanks for any help you might share.

Albinoman's Jelly Bean ROM boots and runs already. It doesn't have HWA, so the animations are a little slow, but overall, performance is pretty quick. All of the main features work just fine, including Google Now. The only big issue afaik is the non-working camera.
BTW, the Dinc is only 2+ years old (released end of April, 2010), but still very impressive that our old phone can still run the latest Android OS.

EV said they had HWA working on the nexus one and the only changes for that lately have been kernel related and the kernel base is the same for the Inc. Considering how much faster and smoother this build has been since using the new kernel changes, I'm assuming that they are related. If there's more to come to gerrit, then hot dog. For now, I'm quite happy with JB on the inc and any additional speed/smoothness that comes will just be the icing on the cake.
