Rogers Tethering APN settings - Samsung Captivate Glide

I'm getting really slow/unusable speeds when tethering. Can anyone post their tethering APN and help me out to see if that's the problem?
Thanks

Wow thank you so much dude, they were the same. I was losing hope of anyone posting them! Thanks.

Glad I can help. Oddly, I noticed my infuse only has the the core apn; it does not have the 2nd one (both on ROGERS).

Mine has both apns, yet its mega slow on tethering. Weird.

Thanks for the heads up; I think I'll delete the tethering one. My Infuse tethers on the core APN (well, the 2 times I've tethered so far).

[Q] APN Settings for AT&T?

NOTE: I posted this in the General Section as well, but I realized that may have been the incorrect place to post my question, hence I am posting it here. Mods, feel free to delete that post in the General Section.
First off, I have a Desire Z (Bell Version) that I have rooted with stable version of CM 7.03.
I have been problems sending MMSes for a while now. I've looked up the various settings listed all over the Internet, but nothing has worked. I've tinkered and I rebooted the phone everytime I changed the APN settings.
Here's what's on my phone currently (this is after doing much tinkering from the various settings I've found on the Internet):
Name: AT&T
APN: wap.cingular
Proxy: Not Set
Port: 80
Username: [email protected]
Password: CINGULAR1
Server: Not Set
MMSC: http://mmsc.cingular.com
MMS Proxy: 69.209.11.32
MMS Port: 8080
MCC: 310
MNC: 410
Authentication Type: PAP or CHAP
APN Type: default,supl,mms
Now after deleting this APN and resetting to default, this is what I have:
Name: ATT
APN: wap.cingular
Proxy: Not Set
Port: Not Set
Username: [email protected]
Password: Not Set
Server: Not Set
MMSC: http://mmsc.cingular.com
MMS Proxy: wireless.cingular.com
MMS Port: 80
MCC: 310
MNC: 410
Authentication Type: Not Set
APN Type: default,supl,mms
After going to the default settings, I still can't send MMSes and it's driving me nuts.
Also, I noticed there's version 7.1 out. However, as far as I know, MMS supposedly works fine on the version I have and I do remember being able to send MMS in the past occasionally, so I don't know what's going on...
Anybody have any ideas?
Flash the latest nightly after a wipe. You could also try a third party texting app.

It amazes me how people just leave and never press thank button or at least say thank you to a useful post. Discouraging behavior.

Just in case that outside link become invalid in the future, i'm RE-POSTING the settings in this thread. I believe xda will hold as a server more stably so we can come back and check. The traditional "phone" + "wap.cingular" worked for me.

[q] help! Urgent!

Hi, I'm in the United States, using AT&T on a telus branded galaxy s3
unlocked using the jelly bean unlocking trick...
trouble is, now it won't hold a call and will disconnect at random times
saying that i'm "out of network area"
It will reconnect to the network soon after (a second or two after my call disconnects)
but will repeatedly drop calls soon after...
I can't get a call going for more than a minute!
So I tried buying an unlock code from cellunlockers.net,
and got one.
But the problem is, I can't input the codes either...
It says connection error or invalid MMI code...
So i can't input any USSD codes...
So here are my questions:
What can I do to fix this issue?
Can I lock the phone again and undo the jelly bean unlock trick?
Thanks in advance!
I don't think it has anything to do with unlocking the phone, if your phone is locked you can't place a call. it has to do with the network you're on. Have you considered that you might actually be "out of network area"? Do you have the proper apn settings?

So what can I do to fix this problem?
Should I try getting a new sim card?
Do you have the proper apn settings?
How long has this been happening?
What Rom are you on? Stock?
What version?
We need more info to be able to help.
I just went into APN settings and
clicked set as default... is that not what I should have done?
What Rom are you on? Stock?
What version?

Did setting apn as default Help? Try making a phone call.
I'm currently on stock rooted 4.1.1,
and this problem has been happening for
the month and a half or so i've had an AT&T sim card
in my galaxy s3...
Under APN settings, there's only one APN,
Cingular 410
You need to add the proper APN for AT&T. Just search for att apns and you'll find them here on XDA.
Unfortunately I have to get going. Please give as much info as you can. If you need help you're in the right place. There are tons of android savvy geeks at your fingertips. Good Luck!

Ok. So it seems as though you are not giving enough information for anyone to efficiently be able to help you. Please provide as much info as possible. You said you are on AT&T (Not the gophone plan). You need to find out what APNs that the gophone SIM uses so that you can enter those in the APN Settings.
I found apns that allow for data, but it's the default one
that kept cutting my voice... is there no apn that consolidates
the two into one?

It's still dropping calls! T.T
Are there any other APNs I can use or is there a way to input the unlock code
via a ussd code on this version of the galaxy s3? I think it might be a bad unlock...
or at least that's what the telus live chat support agent told me

[How To][Guide] Att Apn List

This is a guide for changing your apn for throttling issues or trying to get a better signal.
Here's a list of the ATT APN list that I put together. I have tested these some work with everything DATA,LTE,MMS,VOICE, ETC. And some of them were request from other members here. So I just posted what was asked for into one location. If they work for you keep them if not, just delete and keep the ones you'll b using. NEVER DELETE THE STOCK APN JUST IN CASE!
If I run across any others I sure to add them here.
If anyone has any that I missed let me know and I'll add them to the list...
#1.Go into setting, then more setting, mobile networks, then pick Access point Names.
#2. In order to enter a new APN, hit the left menu key. Pick New APN, then enter your APN setting as listed below. After that hit Menu again then save! Then you can select that Apn, by hitting the dot next to the new apn
Everyone's results will vary, pending on location...
Thanks to @ShrekOpher

Maybe I should put this in the development section. Because I'm not sure if everyone is getting to c it. Being that it was asked for so much. In and around the NOTE 2 threads! Think I should have asked a MOD to see if was ok to post into the development section???
But hopefully it helps who ever find it.

Ive used the second one. That one stays on H/H+ the entire time. Its the best way to switch between bands. I'll have to try the last one to see if it improves my signal any. Although compared to my last phone the signal is better on my note 2 than my Atrix HD although the Wi-FI isn't quite as strong than my AHD

Re: Att apn list
Thanks to the OP for posting this information. I needed the shipped AT&T APN after a flash to get my LTE working again. I've never been throttled.

I've found using "AT&T TEST 5" settings to have the best DL/UL speeds out of all the APN settings, thanks

APN Settings for MMS with Wifi On with 3rd Party Messengers

I posted this over at AC too. I had the issue of not being able to receive MMS with wifi on with any messenger except Hangouts and the stock Messaging app. I found out that I had to create a new APN but that only worked on LTE. These settings will work for LTE or HSPA/3G. It will allow the messaging app to automatically turn on mobile data and download the message. Not sure if it'll mess with wifi calling since I don't use it so YMMV. Since this is a new account the MMSC url had to be broken to post this so adjust as needed.

Well all was working well till I started toggling wifi calling to see how it would work then now the phone is saying my APN is invalid.

Can you have two APN addresses in one profile? Don't think I've ever seen that before...

That's what I thought too but I was just messing around with it and it worked. I got rid of the epc APN and it works again with just fast even if I have LTE off, but I'm not gonna mess with it again till after work.
