Yay! I had ordered a black one off ebay and it's finally here. I like the look and feel if it but I must admit it's a little loose on the sides and it makes the power/lock button more difficult to press. But it offers more protection than the mesh case I have. It's also pretty thin. Tuner than the tmo gel skin...
Think I might stick with the mesh for now. I'm not disappointed tho...heck for the 4.50 I paid lol

I don't like the look of it. Feels oilly.
I am not a fan of glossy finishes and it looks cheap, but if you like it thats all that matters. I personally like the Tmobile gel skin it gives the phone some weight and girth.
The pictures do it no justice. I have the black one and the smoked one and they both look great. Although to me anything looks better than the chrome trim around the front of the phone.
I have this case as well. I got it from an Amazon seller. It's shiny, collects fingerprints, and it protects my phone while not collecting pocket lint. It was also cheaper than the T-Mobile case. I'll stick with it until something better comes along.
I got mine...similar case from another ebay seller...the case was bent half way during shipment...so he is mailing another one...

That looks to bulky
They have these at the Verizon store I bought my phone at. The case looks pretty slim honestly. Though from the video, it doesnt seem like a very snug fit around the phone.

But has a hardcase which pulls the trigger for me.
I prefer zipper cases to seal off my tablet from outside elements. Took a flyer on this case from Korea. Took 2 weeks to arrive. Love the fit and gives a couple of really good viewing angles. Not much bulk added at all. A little pricey but meets my needs.

So mine shipped way earlier than it was supposed to (i think it said Aug 23) and so far it seems like a great case considering what I paid for it.

I'm not exactly a fan of the leather but it does seem pretty nice as well as the microfiber inside.
I'm excited to get mine now. I own the official nexus travel cover and only con I see is no awake feature.

The Poetics have a awake unlock when you open it. Not sure on the official travel rubber case.
What's the difference between this and the Moko? I know of the physical differences but I'm asking about the feel or why one would think either is better then the other?

Any issues with the magnet being too strong and triggering the sleep/wake function when folded all the way back? I know the one for the 1st gen N7 had that problem.
Also, how flat does the cover stay on the whole screen, especially after it's been folded into stand mode?

The magnets seem just right, and they only trigger sleep when you close it.
As far at the cover staying flat, mine doesn't want to go completely flat but I assume it will go away over time.
mine shipped out yesterday, can't wait to get it.
On the first gen nexus 7 i also had the same exact case. VERY VERY nice and fits secure and snug. i love this case and can't get over how cheap it is
I'm torn between this and the Moko. Some people say the Moko is better while others say Poetic. Ordered the Moko but it's shipping out on the 23rd so I still have time to cancel and order the Poetic.

Looks like Poetic case has better protection for the side buttons and the bottom of the tablet. So i ordered poetic.

hows the front cover fit/sit? my poetic case for the old nexus 7 didnt fit perfectly, it was kinda off centered.
the moko's front cover looks off in the pics that people have been posting...
Mine fits perfectly. It does have a bit of a gap when the flap is closed shut, but it isn't something that will bother me. This case exceeds all my expectations for the quality.

Pros
Three magnets on the side to keep a secure closure.
Doesn't open by accident easily when carrying.
Very snug
The button cut outs feel better.
No metal tab (I know some were worried about this)
Adds very little bulk.
Con's
None that I can think of but maybe it costs a little more than the moko.

Mine has shipped..base on the expected delivery (8/29), it's loaded on a pack-mule and making it's way from the west coast to the east coast.
I have a $nugg case for my N7-2012, which I live very much... kinda hoping I'll be happy enough with the Poetic to save the $$.
How does the stand functionality work? Is it stable?

Looks good for the price, might be a bit bulky though.
I have a standard Fosmon TPU case. It was also very cheap but surprisingly good quality.

Yeah,its a bit bulky..but im buying for the stand and without the cover that cover the screen region. Coz currently I'm using rock case which the cover is annoying when u tried to take picture or one handed operation ...

It has rubber bumpers in the corners, just like Ballistic cases. Plus, read the reviews for the one you linked to. Seems kind of cheap-made.

I have that one too, but I don't expect it to protect as well as the Trident case I linked to above.
Trident is expensive..but the back looks cool

That's the one I have. It's a basic TPU case but is good quality, it's much better than the Juppa case I also have
I have that case. The stand works well. The cutouts are well placed and it feels good in the hands.

The stand has a second part that click into place when opened all the way. This makes it rigid so it does not collapse. It is a little flimsy but so far I haven't had any issues with it.
As far as weight is concerned, yeah it isn't the lightest case there is but the protection it give seems to be worth the weight to me.
