is there a way to make the Lock screen switch to landscape mode?
it's just unsightly to have the lock screen stuck in vertical when everything else can rotate to landscape mode transparently when using any apps
i run my phone most of the time in landscape mode for better read-ability and well most 90% of games runs on landscape mode anyways.
and when i put my phone down on the dock, i have it sitting on landscape as well, it'll make a nicer "desk clock/calendar" if the lock screen and switch as well

i have been jumping from MikG and synergy. but everything i do is in landscape mode. the transition from portrait to landscape has a drastic hang time. i wanted to see if someone could make a mod or app to lock it in landscape?

I like to lock my screen orientation to portrait for mostly everything. Games and landscape apps override this which is fine.
The youtube app for some reason is stuck in portrait (it used to switch easily in CM9 on my old i9000m).
So I have to disable orientation lock for videos.
Is there anyway to force certain apps to disregard the orientation lock? I know CM9 has it, but I'm quite happy with the touchwiz features and don't want to switch.
I also want to know about this. My GS1 does it with orientation locked. Wish I could here too

I am still trying to figure out how to play in full screen portrait mode - somewhat like the full screen zoom option native in IOS -
Thought I could do anything I wanted the phone to do with Android.. lol maybe not -

Sorry but rotation locker sucks!!! Ultimate rotation control is smooth and the auto rotate works on stock touchwiz and sense. Just download the trial one and see for yourself. You can also do it for individually for apps.
Installed this and noticed my battery life went south badly. Also my phome was very slow waking from deep sleep. Had to un install.
Perhaps Sammy will bake a good rotation into the next iteration of TW...

Whats wrong with the built in toggle?
I'm not sure how it's affecting waking from sleep or battery usage. I don't even notice the battery drain on mine. I use it so I can lock the lockscreen and homescreen onto landscape mode. I let the built-in auto rotate handle the rest.

Can somebody confirm that icons (for settings etc ) in stock camera, even with autorotate is on, are always in landscape mode if you turn on camera when holding phone in "portrait" mode! They would autorotate if you lean your phone in landscape (only to the left) and than back to portrait!
Stock JB, without modification before and after, factory reset before and after upgrade to JB!

I don't quite understand the question, because the way I see it I can't believe you've asked.
If you hold you phone (whilst in camera) landscape, then the buttons are going to rotate to landscape.
If you hold you phone in portrait, then the buttons are going to be orientated for portrait.
Otherwise your buttons are going to be the wrong way when you rotate?

No, if i use my phone i portrait position, and if i go into camera my icon are oriented like in landscape mod, by 45 degrese, to enable autorotate for icons i nead to lean phone to landscape (only to left) , and than portrait mode orientation for icons is good!

Mine rotate, blade rom. Based on stock so should be the same.

I have Tab S4 (US unlocked) running stock ROM and unrooted. I've noticed a very annoying issue with Wallpapers.
if the screen rotation is left turned on, the wallpaper also rotates. Is there a way to prevent this from happening?
The issue that if we set the wallpaper in portrait mode that looks great, rotating it to landscape the wallpaper becomes pixelated and vice-versa..

I've had this problem too. my solution was to install nova launcher then go to settings-look and feel-screen orientation. From there you select force portrait or landscape. Hope this helps.
Now if only I can find a good wallpaper app besides zedge
