GTA controls with keyboard - G2 and Desire Z Themes and Apps

Hey guys. I've noticed some of the controls work with the hardware keyboard such as driving forwards and backwards and hijacking cars ect... However not all the controls work. Is there a way to map the rest of the controls to buttons?

I'm also trying to figure out controls so I can use my gamegripper.
I've been using GameKeyboard app https://market.android.com/details?...SwxLDUwMSwiY29tLmxvY25ldC5nYW1la2V5Ym9hcmQiXQ..
To map the keys to dpad controls for movement but struggling with buttons.
BTW GameKeyboard also lets you map keys for onlive gaming which is bloody awesome!

You can use gamecih and search for the values of health and money. Its pretty easy.

N64oid keymap

What is the best keymap settings for n64oid on the xperia play?
Sent from my R800i using XDA Premium App
C-up -> Search button
C-right - > circle button
C-down -> select key
C-left -> triangle button
A -> X button
B - > square button
Z -> L trigger button
R -> R trigger button
Works great on zelda, i use the c-down (select button) with the ocarina and stuff i barley use. Plus, C-up (search key) is only for looking around and talk to navi.
This set up have been working perfect for every game i've tried. But specially for Zelda
It really depends on what you like and what feels good to you, i tend to have diffrent key configs for diffrent games, so for example, my key config for goldeneye is diffrent to that of zelda
Square and cross are b and a. Triangle is c left, circle is c down. Have c keys on screen as well.

Landscape home screen?

Just wondering if there is a way to set the home screen to landscape mode without having the gameplay out?

It's just a matter of programing it to listen to the accelerometer and trigger landscape when its over 50 degrees...now if only someone could do that
as stated before use a different launcher
pro launcher does it, etc.
In the US, if you insert power (micro usb) then headphones, it'll go into landscape... and stay in it some times until you cycle putting the headphones in and out a couple of times...
Actually rather annoying at times...
Another launcher is truly the easiest way.

How are these comments at all usefull? If everyones attitude was "use another launcher" or "use another app" nothing would get developed here, It would be full of lazy people using "other" launchers

This is possible, A team of devs managed to program the same functionality into the desire s's htc sence ports. At first only devices with H/W keybords could get it into landscape mode, but the devs programed it to listen to the accelerometer instead

Thanks for that Andro kinda got over it anyway, just would've been cool to do what my transformer does ie. landscape to portrait depending on accelerometer, and when I saw that the play changes to landscape with the gamepad out it didn't make sense that it wouldn't do it normally :-/

[Q] FPSe Menu problem

So I recently installed ICS++ and FPSe and now the menu button doesn't work in game at all. Before I open a game, the circle button opens the menu for some strange reason. I've tried reinstalling, but I still experience the same problem. Does anybody have the same problem/fix?
Can you remap the hardware buttons in FPSe?

From the menu (before loading a game) yes, I can. It's just I can't access the menu from in-game, meaning there's no way to save state.
Will the Button Savior app work?
what version of fpse are u using?? mine works without any problem

try using 0.10.57 version

Awesome alternative to sixaxis

Hey guys, came across an app called tablet remote in the app store. Uses WiFi/Bluetooth to connect to your android device which it turns into a game controller. Works well over WiFi, haven't tried Bluetooth yet. Oh, and its free!

Usually people wanna use a controller because touch screen games are usually annoying and inaccurate. So I cant see playing a touch screen game with another touch screen. How u gonna know what buttons your pressing?

I usually would agree, but the app worked flawlessly. It would be awesome to have like some 3D piece to lay over the screen so you could actually "feel" the buttons

There are apps that use the proximity sensor to control music controls or even unlock the phone from one. Type on proximity or something and they should pop up, I know this is not what you are looking for but could be an option for now

There are some mods which let you reprogram your home button. You should check out Xposed framework. Also, you could go for a virtual bar which emulates home, menu and back button. There is a very nice app which is called something like "dynamic app bar" in the play store. Maybe you could use that app to create a special button for music controls.
