NFL Mobile for Verizon Gnex - Samsung Galaxy Nexus

After searching the market and asking VZWSupport on Twitter (Not official or anything) I've been told NFL Mobile does not work with ICS. They are trying to make it compatible as soon as possible. (this means probably next season).
The Galaxy Nexus is my first Verizon phone and I was DYING to have NFL Mobile free premium with my LTE phone like Bionic, RAZR, and others.. LAME!
Does anyone have the latest official NFL Mobile v5.6 from market they can send over. I wanna try and install it anyways.
Thanks!

AFAIK, NFL Mobile has never worked on AOSP ROM's, which is basically what the Nexus is using. Is this an AOSP issue, or ICS issue?

CM7 is Gingerbread, but at least that's the first one I've heard of NFL Mobile working for. CM7 didn't work with NFL Mobile on my Thunderbolt.

I was told it was an issue with ICS and was being worked on. A completely stock device should at least work with it -- even if doesn't come pre-installed as "bloatware"
Does anyone have the latest APK from market I can sideload?

Well I got the latest official version from the Android Market and side-loaded -- didn't work. F word!!
It works fine. Looks fine and scales perfect to larger screen and 1280x720p resolution. I even was able to sign into MyVerizon account and everything but then once the app starts (and seems fine) it stops you with an error saying this device is not supported and closes.
Maybe we can disable that check? This is lame

you are mistaken - nfl mobile works fine on my og droid running cm7

The NFL Tablet app works, but not nearly as nice as regular app. At least not on a phone.

G2 is one of the first Android devices to get Netflix. Available NOW!

Just read over at Lifehacker that Netflix is available for 5 Android devices as of today and the g2 is one of them. Supposedly available in the App Market but I am failing to find it. Not that I'd use it a bunch but it adds value to that $9 / month. Besides bored at the dr office or what not just throw on a movie.
Android coming to select Android devices
App works like a charm..finally! I found it in the epic 4G forum. I would post but don't think its possible with the mobile app

Finally found it after digging through the Netflix website. Installed but after it launches I attempt to start a movie and it trys to play and then just goes back to the main menu. No error or anything. WTF. Netflix states its only supported on G2s with 2.2 and I'm running cm7 2.3 so maybe that's the problem.
Sent from my HTC Vision using XDA App
They say 2.2 because officially the gb update isn't available for g2. But I'm running the stock leak gb from tmo and works great. Works great on my original stock 2.2 nandroid as well.

I have the same problem on a G2 running Virtuous (Sense). I assumed it was Sense but perhaps not since you have the same problem with CM7. It runs just fine on a stock G2 (wife's phone.)

I have never had an enjoyable experience with video chat on froyo. That's the only thing the gingerbread leaks can do better. That said on gingerbread:
Oovoo sucks
Fring sucks
Qik sucks
Modded galaxy skype is good
Gtalk video chati hear is good
However I have no 4g whatsoever so this is all on 3g
Hope this helps

Before searching , is Tango available for Free and on the market ?
Have to agree, and Tango is multi-platform, so works for iPhone users too...
I wouldn't put any of the leaks on her phone. Stick with an ec05 build they're solid. As far as a video chat app Im not sure of one for froyo. I think Skype only allows voice chat for froyo builds, don't quote me on that though.

skype only works with gb (personally tested it) skype will NOT allow you to video chat with froyo.
it will even provide this statment when you first startup the skype app.
just go to the market and in the search box type "video chat for android" and it will give you all the apps. the only one that i like is skype. it was the only one that worked smooth for me.
SORRY! I COULDN'T POST THE APP LINK PAGE FOR YOU.
Tango works well on wifi/4g. It auto-searches your contacts and creates a list of who else has it.
That's what I use

Your Skype is working. Do you have icons for Video on it? I've had it before but after upgrade they disappeared.

I've got GTalk, but it doesn't seem to want to let me use video. My girlfriend is always on GTalk and I would kill to be able to show her what the hell I'm talking about when I'm shopping and I need her to tell me which item to throw in the cart.
I'm on a GB ROM, so I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong.
PS: To anyone wondering why only certain programs can do video chat on Froyo, it's because GB includes an APK that allows the OS to grab video from the FFC and provide it to the application asking for it. On Froyo, the app has to be written specifically to be compatible with the device to use the FFC.

Hulu+ from Android Market

Hey all,
I'm not sure if this has already been posted. I just picked up the E4GT a few weeks ago and just started following the threads in xda. I found a thread where you could download the apk for hulu+ that supposedly works for the E4GT but I couldn't get it to work for myself. Then just playing around I got this to work...
1. Googled hulu with the standard browser
2. Selected Hulu Plus - Apps on Android Market
3. Complete action using... Internet
4. Selected install
5. Selected sign in
6. Complete action using Market
7. Accept & download - and you have it...
Android market says "Your device isn't compatible with this item" but it works perfectly fine for me. I'm not rooted or anything... completely stock. Thought I'd pass it on. Good luck.
I wish there was a boxee client for Android. That with navi-x repo, who needs Netflix or hulu!
The OPs instructions do work, but you need to pay for a Hulu+ subscription to be able to use the app (as I found out.) Useful to people who already have a Hulu subscription who want to watch it on their phone.
Ya, hulu plus works fine. I wonder why it isn't available for our phone straight from the market. You would think they would let the most popular Android phone in the world use their app.
On my Epic mobile phone.
Thanks OP
I've been trying this method for months and never worked. Had the yellow banner stating not compatible, but I bet it's the new market handles different

Ok so here is the scoop:
Xfinity TV: control recordings or what you're watching on your TV.
Works w/o issues
Xfinity Mobile: watch comcast content.
this apps says it is ICS compatible now, but I had no video just sound.
new app called Xfinity Player:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/...laynow&feature=nav_result#?t=W251bGwsMSwyLDNd
works perfectly, I installed (11mb) and ran a show w/o issues.
I hope that helps; looks like comcast may be moving things around.
I'll restore back to Thunderhawk (OMG the batter life) and test the same apps and report back - about if the xfinity mobile app acts the same.

Damn, sorry to hear that.
You'll probably have to pose the question to xfinity.
I have also had this problem, even when I upgraded from rc2 to rc3, switched su's and moved to sd card, clear data, etc.

ESPN ScoreCenter

Hey gang, was wondering if anybody running a jb based TW rom can test if video playback works from within the ESPN app or in the browser (stock or chrome) from this website http://m.espn.go.com/wireless/ . App and site work fine with AOKP, AOSP jb and ics roms. Thanks.
