[THEME]&[MOD] for JVP

Hi all,
I've cooked up a theme which works with JVP (see UOT-06-16-07-05-1.zip) from the theme kitchen (uot.dakra.lt/kitchen) which gives me:
Circle battery with %
Transparent notification bar (although I can't get a screen capture of this )
Black and white pop-up's/sliders etc
For some reason, the overglow won't work and I can't get the wifi / bluetooth / GPS / Sound / Rotation buttons to change - but it's a start!
Plus, I've then enhanced by flashing:
CRT off and Extended Power Menu (see CRT_screen_off-optimized-JVP-CWM3-proper.zip)
and installing:
SGSII Camera Hack to use power button & front facing camera (Thanks to fr4gg0r see http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=860609&highlight=SGSII Camera)
And with massive thanks to the German genious of PaulDiddy (please buy him some beers) I've then flashed the following:

I've found (if you want to do this) that it's best to flash in this order:
1.) CRT
2.) Theme

Just installed it (CRT_screen_off-optimized-JVP-CWM3-proper.zip) on the Kitchen JVP beta: CRT works (dunno if it did before flashing) but extended powermenu doesn't work...

[MOD][XXJVQ][ODEX] and that is not lag internal browser base

Hello everyone,
after passing through the deodex JVQ, I come back to the Odex basic lag and too much waiting in use, for lack of cons with hacks
So I share with you two things for the JVQ Odex
- Touchwiz 4 with a apps Phone, Sms and Contacts (based on "SGS2-AOSP Icons / TW4 / Hacked Apps" of Switchrock)

Can you give us some instructions on how to install?
-Do we run them from the recovery menu?
-Do we replace apk and/or .odex files manually?
I'm very interested cause I'd like to keep my JVQ odex as stock as possible but with your mods it would be perfect!

These are flashable with CMW3 and do seam to work and do not lag the browser which is great.

One comment, you said that the extended power menu doesn't work.
True.
What now also doesn't work anymore is Quickboot (from the market).
That doesn't do anything anymore after installing JVQ_Mod_Odex_SLD_V1.2.zip
After restoring JVQ_odex_Restore.zip it still doesn't work, also similar apps like AnReboot stopped working altogether.
I think the problem has to do with root permissions somehow being withdrawn or deleted cause all my apps that require root access have stopped working to. They start/run but don't execute their function (e.g. droidwall complains it no longer has root access).
Can you please look into this?
Update:
Fixing root permissions in cwm recovery solves the above problem but is persistant (also happened after a second install of the mods).
The Extended Power Menu options result in the GUI being restarted.

Reapplied it easily as I'm on tegrak kernel. Tried reinstalling superuser. Doesn't work.

I reinstalled root from within the Speedmod kernel, that worked without a problem (just took me some time to figure out loosing my root was the problem).
The good thing is I have the nice circle mod and some graphics tweaks plus the browser still rocks!
But I would consider this still a beta that needs some more work.

So If I understand it correctly, this fixes the browser on a deodexed JVQ rom, but it will cost you root and the extended power menu? Great work! I hope you can fix those issues, I don't know I can easily re-root my phone (running on darkcore 2.8) and I like the extended power menu too much to give it up

It doesn't fix the browser cause it ain't broken.
It also doesn't cost you root if you're on speedmod.
And I guess the extended menu is something being worked on so it looks good from my pov, at least I have a great stock slightly themed JVQ!

Okay, make it useable then. Calling the stock browser laggy on a deodexed JVQ is an understatement.

The point I made was that the stock browser is not broken on the odexed version and we run these theme mods on the odexed stock JVQ so the browser is not fixed.

Which one shall I install TW4_JVQ_ODEX_V1 or JVQ_Mod_Odex_SLD_V1.2 or both since the contents of the two are different? Is there any bugs after installing this mod? Kindly please explain between the two version what's the difference. These are just my questions on this mod.

TW4 is the one that should contain touchwiz 4.
The other one contains the mods like green battery, etc...
I've just installed the TW4 mod on my odex JVQ running speedmod.
But the boot took 2 minutes, while it normaly takes about 25 seconds.
Will this happen on future boots too?

This doesn't contain TW4, just the icons.
It's still the old, ugly TW3.
EDIT2:
the restoration file doesn't convert the tw4 icons (contacts+messages) back to old school TW3.
Please fix this, cause i don't want to flash JVQ again.

So basically this doesn't make it like TW4 only the icons even if I install both mods. It will just look like TW4 but the way it works will still be TW3. Is this correct?

Not sure what you flashed but this is definately TW4
Transparent dock, semi transparent background in app drawer, page numbers at bottom in app drawer and homescreens and of course icons have been changed.

[Q] Alternative to EDT lockscreens for JVQ

Hello there,
I am developer of Jetpack ROM. I used EDT in previous versions but later I found it EDT is not fully functional and it's buggy. I removed it from current version of my ROM..
Now I am in search of better lockscreens MOD. I heard JKay's MOD is good but I can't find it anywhere.
Can anyone please suggest me good MOD for lockscreens that supports JVQ?

there is an app called (agile ) and (goto unclocker screen )
and (ripptle screen lock )
those three works for jvQ

EDT of Redmanners JVQ Gingerbread Theme works like a charme. He implemented a few bugfixes to the app... I never got any errors.

that version is bugged too.
delay are not working, if you change stock gallery with another one and try to change lockscreen in sgs2 lock got bootloop.
also miui lock with musicplayer activated lock cpu freq to 1000mhz

crysis21 uses tsmparts for the lockscreens in his sensation theme
maybe you should have a look at it

DaGr8 has another 10 lockscreen mod that works well. You can find it in this rom: Here

as I make my own Theme after every ROM Samsung releases, I wanted to share this with you as I know some people find it useful.
Installation sequence:
Always flash Boeffla-Mod main theme first (green-stock or blue theme)
Then flash add-ons as you like:
- Addon1: 13-toggles mod for drop down statusbar
- Addon2: Disable scrolling cache to have smoother scrolling experience in lists
If you want to fully revert or revert a part back, always use the rollback zip and start again from scratch.
The rollback zip is the only procedure to make everything undone and get you back to a consistent basis !!!
Tip: You can flash everything sequentially in CWM without a need to reboot in between! Boeffla-Mod update scripting is made to support this, so you save time.

I build this mod only for my personal use basically, so it is like it is.

Functional ideas: hacked camera, hacked dialer without increasing ring tone as add-ons as well
If you want to still have different Battery Icons etc, I recommend you to use the UOT kitchen (http://http://uot.dakra.lt/kitchen) with which you can do a lot of additional tweaking yourself.
Just extract the framework-res.apk and SystemUI.apk files out of the Boeffla-Mod zip and load it into kitchen. As soon as the new files are built by kitchen, copy the both files back into the Boeffla-Mod zip and you are there. 7-Zip recommended as a good tool to work on the zip files.

Thanks for this mod, I'm waiting for AOSP lockscreen cause I need to be able to turn off sound quickly, but no hurry .
I m using stock theme and I think you should stick to blue overscroll glow, because even if you set it white some apps like browser keep blue one.

this is the XWJW5 version of the meanwhile well-known Boeffla-Mod theme.
Latest updates:
Addon 3 now made public as many people were interested in using my ext4 remount script for Semaphore Kernel users running on ext4. Basically it adds commit times to the file system mounts which should in theory add smoothness to the phone and might improve battery usage slightly (nothing confirmed, just personal experience).
You can choose between the known "greenish" stock theme and a blue themed mod (my personal favourite).

Just flash (in CWM Recovery) one of the attached versions, you do not have to care about odex or deodex - this will be handled by the installer automatically.

Dude i have lots of users who use ROM which i cooked
so right now i using it andas i will release it, many users will use it.
once upon a time once one known developer asked me how much ROM users i had just check this.

I guess it is not included, but I will provide in the next few days the 13-toggles mod again, together with a 6 icons dock in the bar.
Don't know if this is what you mean!?

Yes I think that's it. I just want to have one more icon down in the bar (phone / contacts / messages / settings). Possibly without text under the icons.

Thx again Andi for your Mod, i will start to test soon. Man i hope there are no more JWx roms around! Soo we settle down here? Just want to know on which base i will start to put stuff on.

Well, go for it, ZaneZam Looking forward to your add-ons again.
I do not know (somehow cannot find my crystal ball currently), but XWJW5 feels quite mature. So could imagine this is really the last official FW for our SGS from Sammy.
At least I will currently base all work on this rom now.

Hey i've lost mine too! Somehow nobody can find their crystal balls nowadays, strange... there must be a crystall ball snatcher around! hehe..
Ok i am looking forward to start but first i have to interview my filofax!

you need whole ROM or any specific files, i think u need systemui, framework and android.policy.
same problem of time i had, anyway if tonight i got time i will do it my self and mail u all files so you can publish it here
if u want any special mod then i try to do that also.
moral is either u help me or i help you, both are same
