TWRP Installer (Obsolete) - Kindle Fire Android Development

Hi all, as promised here is my utility for installing TWRP. Once you have TWRP you can flash anything you want, and can get permanent root.
This tool REQUIRES BurritoRoot which can be found: Click Here
Currently the tool does:
Resets ADB to root with BurritoRoot
Auto download and install TWRP Recovery + FireFireFire.
The Installer does come with the drivers incase they are needed.
Please note: If your device can't be seen in fastboot mode, please make sure to install the drivers packaged with this, as it will show up afterwards. You can use the install_drivers.bat with the device plugged in for this.
Usage should be straight forward for the tool. If you are having issues with something, please post.
I make no claim that this tool is perfect, but I certainly will do my best to support it as long as people like it.
Here are some screen-shots of it:

If you end up stuck at the yellow triangle, in KF Utility select Boot Normal, wait for it to say and then press and hold the power button 20 seconds until the fire turns off, then when its off turn it back on. This sometimes happens, I have yet to find a clean solution

If you are running a version of Amazon's ROM then yes. Until someone pulls the update engine out of the ROM, and maintains the operation of Amazon's apps then this will continue to occur. If you would rather avoid the issue, flash cm7 or something other than Amazon's ROM.

http://rootzwiki.com/topic/13027-universal-all-firmware-one-click-root-including-261/ the APK is posted elsewhere, my tool is not supposed to have that apk, I made a mistake in my testing of it and forgot to delete the APK.
This mistake has been corrected.
Sorry jcase.

where is "install_drivers.bat"

You can get it from KFU if you need it. I didn't include it as it is unreliable atm.

Nice job, works as advertised
Would you be able to add the "fastboot erase cache" command after you flash the boot img? I usually have problems booting into recovery if I don't do this.

Pyramid?
Tried to use it with my OneX with Viper Rom.
Apparently the installer detected the phone as 'pyramid' instead of 'endeavoru'.
Any idea how to fix this?

That would be quite impossible, except your device is a pyramid, you have a pyramid connected, or your build.prop says pyramid.
PS: the screenshot does not work here.
NICE JOB !!!!
I think it is because I have pyramid in build.prop.
I never once owned any pyramid before.

boot your phone into fastboot and start the program, it will then read out the devicename from fastboot directly (which can't be altered).
It should then say endeavoru and go on with it's business
PS: Screenshot works now
Please tell the ViperX guys to fix their build.prop

I think it is because of the Gameloft compability on Venom Tweaks is activated
the problem is gameloft compatibility turn on,the initial build.prop after installation is correctly,in case you have turn on this tweaks turn it of and build.prop return to original, sorry for my bad english
Another German's piece of art, congratulations show-p1984!
perfect tool, comfortable, and most importantly it works perfectly, in fact, as previously mentioned, you may be wanting to add fastboot erase cache, and run. Now we just wait for his new version of the kernel , and so everything perfect. A greeting and thanks

I tried to install a zip .I hit install and says error flashing zip.
Any kitkat rom requires twrp 2.6.3.1. Either upgrade twrp or just flash jellybean.
Is this ^^^ the problem? If so, download the newest TWRP, move it to the same folder as the other TWRP is in, in the kfu folder, rename it to recovery.zip or whatever TWRP ifs originally named, then remove the old one.
Launch kfu, and choose to install recovery. If that doesn't work, post back. Cheers, and good luck!

when you boot to recovery it will have version on top line, should be v2.6.3.1

Why make the process more complicated and require the phone to be hooked up to a pc? Just go into the supersu app and click on "fully unroot".....done. Afterward flash the supersu zip from twrp recovery to re-root. (Yes twrp will install an factory update just the same as factory recovery)

Remember it's a much more thorough process than that? You made a guide saying we have to restore an unrooted stock image and etc. There were a couple of steps that required a PC so I was just curious if a program would ever be able to do that automatically for us.

That was true at the time but since then it's been determined only a full unroot is required. (it MAY be an issue when android 5.1.x comes along) The images were left for folks who need to restore their system from an error. If you have further question lets take it to the system image thread so as not to hijack @WindyCityRockr's thread.

Guys, do NOT use this software without few things first:
-we have not seen source code of this, noone knows what it actually does to your watch
-this software is NOT made for huawei watch, this guy just made few buttons call some adb functions, however they are not customized for hwatch. Any of that can easily hardbrick your watch as far as we know.
Also this mass advertisement is really stupid. Post reported.

You can see the source code here, and the unlock command, as well as the rooting command, is the same for all smartwatches. The TWRP comes from this post, so it's completely safe. Please confirm things before you post.

I should confirm things before posting? YOU should confirm that while I have hwatch connected I can press any combination of buttons in your ADB wrapper and nothing bad happens. What about supersu? The option is there, have you tested it with hwatch? Please confirm things before you post.

Nothing bad can happen to a device that's not within the user's control. There are many checks in place to prevent errors, and the TWRP and SuperSU are specific to the HWatch. While I haven't personally tested them, I've confirmed that many users on the forum used that method to root their HWatch, so I implemented that into the toolkit. Go ahead and click any combination of buttons you want.

Can we also get nav buttons? When I'd flashed this, the lack of nav buttons, on top of not getting play store running, was a huge downer.

Back button on left top corner. Home button on right down corner
Play store. I get SetupWizard error on logcat. This is strange
Already coded from PhoenixOS? Didn't see when I'd used it before. Anyway to modify it to more like Remix?
When I'd tried to install gapps, they installed, but trying to open play store it never opened. Was very odd.

I can, and quite well. I flashed this way before you even posted this as a .zip. I'm just agreeing with you, that after flashing Gapps, I didn't get PlayStore running either. In reference to the buttons, I was asking if the buttons could be modified to be placed on the lower bar. Can you not comprehend?
smh, seriously some of you people are ridiculous.
PhoenixOS not contains AccountManager, so using GApps not currently possible. Let's wait for new versions PhoenixOS.
You can use 1MobileMarket or http://apk-dl.com/

Not sure why. That's how I downloaded mine. I think I had to use my computer though, and did some sort of work around. Can't remember what exactly.
