I'm new to Gio, and i have question about default apps.
So, i use CM7 mod, but i really want back my Camera and Music player apps.
Is it possible to get 'em back?
I really like it.
P.S Only CM mod has 480p video recording, what is not in default camera app.

You can't add default samsung app, because it works with framework from samsung, and cm doesn't have it Soo... it didnt works

just search fixes for cm7
install the keyboard with the addons etc
instsll touchwizz launcher with the addons
and another thing iforgot
thwn while having the touchwizz launcher you also have the twframework
and then you can put the original camera and music player back

i tried it but cam doesnt work that good vid is only 244 p
cam is only 1.9 mp

Stock camera would be worth only for the awesome panorama mode in photo mode...there's no other app to match that (and tried a few)...
Also, FM Radio from stock would be usefull, as cyanogen's doesn't have RDS.

Hello everybody,
for some days I've been using ICS on my SGS.. Everything is very smooth and good, but I miss the camera functionality of the JVU-ROM.
I've tried to simply copy over the odexed camera.apk to my ICS-ROM but it is not even shown in the launcher.. So I can't start it!
Anybody else tried to use the JVU camera on ICS? Interrests?
put a "[Q]" or "?" in topic title :/

Is not impossible but it is not allowed by Samsung -due to copyrights.
That's why didn't see Samsung apps (not only the camera) in cyanogen or miui!

I think that would be no problem, because I payed for those apps as I bought my SGS and if I use this app on my SGS nobody can say something...
The camera app should not be in CyanogenMOD or MIUI but a flashable apk for those who want to use it on AOSP-ICS for SGS would be a nice thing.. I will try a little bit around with this
does there is any way to improve cm7 camera and any way to get stock 2.3.6 camera in cm7.because the original cm7 camera is really sluggish than the stock samsung camera.:-(

tried its 2.3.6 camera on cm7 but it didn't work.camera zoom fx taken good pictures but it don't supports recording.

camera 360 is also great app but i am going back to stock rom because Cyanogenmod is much much buggy and slower then stock rom.i would be wait until phiexz would release a new version of cyanogenmod which fixes the sound problem.

i tried cm7 miracle edition,but still buggy as cyanogenmod(maybe more buggy).
if you think cyanogenmod is buggy,back to stock,there's nothing can help you

correct, tried a few thing but nothing seems to work, ie. zoomFX does take pictures but no preview/view so I can't see what am photographing, so this isn't a solution :crying:

there's no mod, so it is not possible for now
Try camera mx from the market store. It's pretty good

Hi guys. I'm sharing you Android 4.2 Camera app with the Gallery app. Sphere function works. Only that did not work is video recording. I don't know why,but i leave it to the Expert, Dev that have interest can moded this apps to make the video recording work.
FLASHING THIS WILL NOT REPLACE YOUR CAMERA AND GALLERY. YOU WILL HAVE 2 CAMERA APP AND 2 GALERRY.
Only tested on 4.1.2 Wanam

Tested it, it takes photos, records etc, until i try stop recordning on 720HD video, it hangs up and wont go back to cameramode, have to close it with taskmanager and restart again
on 4.1.2 LSJ simplistic ROM.
I have the 4.1.2 leak rom and gets caught me when I want to use the photo sherpe ... could you give me some solution? Thank you!

4.0.4 - doesn't work. Gallery freezes, PhotoSphere also.
Works on wanamlite 4.1.2 almost perfectly! All works but it crashes sometimes, not bad at all! Sphere is like a dream!

But I installed newest JB (NeatROM) and it worked.... for a while. Today it doesn't work without reason....

It will not work that way. Try CM10.1 ROMs, their camera app has HDR function

Sorry won't work because CM10.1 camera use CM files permission i try it before and the camera was crashing every time that i was trying to open but the HDR is no that good anyway you have to use a tripod or it will be moved the photo is really sensitivity because it will take 3 photography on one shot

Use HDR Camera from the Play Store. Works better than the CM camera in my opinion, which had a tendency to blur photos.

- with root explorer delete gallerygoogle.apk on system/app
- extract gallery.apk from cm10.1 file and move it to system/app (don't forget change permissions to rwx - rxx - rxx)
now you have hdr feature like N4 on your gnex with stock camera
i already test this on rootbox 4.2.2 ROM and no FC on camera

it takes better pictures because the actual camera in the N4 is better than the one in the G-nex. different lenses, larger MP etc.
HRD camera is a great way to get some "HDR" action on the Gnex. or you can download something like picsay pro and apply the HDR filter afterwords. no, its not TRUE HDR like the Nexus 4, but our hardware just isn't fast enough to take real HDR shots.

It will give you FC if you use stock... You r using a rom base on cm that's why may worked

Use a modified GAPPs like this one. I will get rid of photoshere and not sync photos to picasa but it will give you the HDR option. Its called :gapps-jb-20130301-signed-edited.zip

its easier to just install camera360 (free)....... the HDR functinon is FAR better with more options ..... as an added bonus you get all the other filters and functions as well
