Hey guys,
When I take a video with my phone, it doesnt save it automatically and ask me everytime to save it or not. It doesnt matter if I choose SD or phonr memory. And I tried this on a Galaxy S2 i9000 and it was fine on that phone.
I want my phone so save the videos automatically, because most of the times I just hit home buttom and my video is gone.
Any ways to fix this problem or any other apps to take video ?

Not sure what the problem may be, mine save automatically to the external sd card. However, I did have to change the save settings from phone to memory by pressing the cogwheel and going to save settings.

Ok so after the 2.2 OTA update my camcorder has been working when it wants to but when it doesn't my phone gets stuck and the only button that works is the home button and afterwards the phone starts running very slow n sluggish I went to Sprint and got my phone exchanged 3x already but same thing with all phones exchanged for now I rooted my phone hoping the camcorder would fix but I had no luck is there anything I can do to fix it

Hey clue,
Sorry to hear about your woes. Have you been using the same SD card in each phone?
If so format it, or try swapping in a new one. Also, play with some of the settings in the camcorder, change some things and see if you still freeze up.
Finally, I'd have a look at uninstalling some apps if none of the above help.

Yes I have formatted SD card even used another SD card and formatted that one as well ... did a hard reset still nothing and even messed around with the settings as well and still no luck ... I am very frustrated

well sadly friends.....my epic screen has cracked and the screen WILL not turn on....my question is the following.....is there ANY way i can access data on the phone like text messages and phone calls.....etc......its just i got a couple of things i am waiting for and i got some notifications and its killing me...i need to check them immediately.....any type of help/advice would be greatly appreciated....
If u are trying to retrieve from ur sdcard, its eas. But ur trying from the phone directly..and I don't believe there is anyway. There are a few apps that u can use to backup ur logs for future reference. And they will be saved to ur sdcard and gmail

Not unless there is some way to pull it off with ADB. You could try activating an old phone and see if you can get them that way.

These should allow you to view and control your device from your pc screen, so you may view, backup/copy contacts, texts, etc.
Does kies air show calls and texts? I know you need the screen to set it up, but it would be handy to have done before hand in a case like this.

Only thing I can suggest is find another epic that u can swap the main board out with temporarily. Its really easy to get to it. Just remove the 7 visible screws on the back and carefully pop off the back. Then just carefully remove the 2 ribbons and antenna and plug in the other system board.

if youre rooted try making a backup by holding the 3 button combo and go down I believe 3 times with the volume rocker and press the camera button twice and wait like 10-20 minutes and see if it made it to your sdcard then find another epic and restore that backup to see if what you need is there
Everyone, their phones screen is cracked...so the can't see anything..and messages and call logs don't go on the sd card unless u back it up

Yep.....it happened. Dropped it in the otterbox from the dash of the fire truck hit the corner sweet spot and i have a badly cracked screen (blank) pretty sure my LCD is shot too but idk. Using my backup Galaxy Nexus for now and of course all my photos on my S3 were never saved to the external SD. I am hoping to recover my pics from the internal SD and maybe SMS. I can live without the SMS . Problem is it was not rooted and has the pattern lock which means naturally I have no way of accessing the internal SD via the computer. Anything I'm not thinking of or am I going to have to just quit while I'm ahead? I have a feeling there's nothing that can be done about my SMS but hoping my vacation pictures are salvageable.

Hi Here is bunch of things started happen without reason and cant find fix.
1. Gallery app freez for over a minute and crash if the phone is connected to wifi, but works perfectly if connected to 3g or not connected to any thing.
note: i unchecked photo sync for every account because i noticed that when the gallery freezes the wifi traffic is too high
2. Homescreen picture changes after making or receiving calls from certain contacts .
It's interesting that you mentioned this-I have been having a weird wifi hang lately and twice I have had the home screen wallpaper Change on me when it happened

Anyone knows how to fix this?

When exactly the wifi hang , because i noticed that when the phone is waking from a deep sleep the wifi takes about 5 to 10 seconds to get back to full signal .
Does the wallpaper changed after you received or made a call?

hi thanks for taking interest in to my thread
try to clear the launcher defaults then restart and then select the adw to be default.
the idea is to restart with the default cash clear. it may help , tell me if it worked.
My wife uses different ring tones for different contacts. The problem is that every now and then it defaults to the main chosen ring tone and have to set them again. I was wondering if any usual updates to apps may be causing it.
Anyone else with this problem?
May be that happens when she plug the phone to the pc to add or remove media . The media scaner that runs after she unplug may cause loss of assigned ringtones. If that is the problem try using airdroid from the market its free very easy to use. If not try to know when exactly that happens .

Thanks for the quick reply. The phone has never been physically connected to the pc. Only connections are via Bluetooth to transfer photos etc. Will check next time if anything changes after Bluetooth connection though.

I can't remember, to be honest.
My note is set to disable the lockscreen when wifi connects to certain WIFI routers. (work/home).
I suspect that might be the problem, but I can't for the life of me remember what program is turning on/off the lockscreen.
Never seen any issues when getting/making calls.

Strange thing: if I choose touchwiz to always open as default then reboot it doesn't ask for launcher again. If I choose adw it asks every time I reboot

Hi, recently, my phone language started changing all from English to Deutsche, and this happens every time the phone is restarted. I have to manually change it back.
Second, keyboards periodically switch back from Swype or swift key to the default Samsung keyboard, even though it is set as default.
Third, keyboards become pretty unresponsive. Sliding frequently registers lag, even on stock
Lastly, alot of apps started to log out by themselves require re sign in.
Do anybody face these problems?

Hhmm, after every restart huh. I'm trying to figure out how on earth my stock Note2 would erase anything i save on my sd card after a restart. Might there be a connection?
