Presents the Official
MIUI 2.1.20
With new volume slider in pull down menu as well as options to change home screen grid
This is a community support ROM only!
Installation
1. Make sure you are rooted- If not then use Jcase's burrito root! Simple as 1 2 3
2. Put rom on the root of SD
3. Wipe system / Factory Reset/ Cache / Davlik
4. Flash the rom zip
5. Reboot
** what i have found is the boot animation may cycle twice before fully booting. Also after flash when you hit reboot sometimes it brings up the TWRP screen again. If that happens just hit reboot. Since there is not hard buttons on kindle we included Button Savior you will see if on the right side of screen by default

installed it, not bad at all. first glance just a few graphical glitches. when I open a app like settings, the notification bar looks almost covered, and a few keyboard layouts were odly colored. very nice work sofar. I couldn't get it to connect to wifi but that could be cuz I tethering off my phone. but I already adjusted the settings to make it work, shrug. good job so far tho

Amazon Video
Hi,
Is it possible to watch Amazon Video with this ROM? Or any alternative way to get Amazon video?
I just rooted my Fire and when I want to use video, I use OTA root keeper.
I like MiUi rather than MC7 stock and hesitate to install to void my amazon prime video streaming. Thanks in advanced.

the notification bar glitches is an issue with MiUi. the nook Colorado has the same glitch at 160 density.

Had to re-wipe data, in case anyone else has this problem. Thanks for the clarification.
Edit: I don't think the accelerometer is working, either. Rotation isn't working, even when I turn on the 180-degree option.

Themes should be fixed by adding init.d support into the kernel
Type this into a terminal emulator... Its a temporaray fix.... But hasnt been tested yet..

i get a 404 error when I try to download

Ok I installed no problems, few graphical glitches like in the browser( no biggie though).
My issues and observations and maybe I can be corrected:
-Cannot access MyApps in the Market.
EDIT: Nevermind, by pushing the app drawer icon on the right hand side on Button Savior that resolved it.
-You can download facebook, twitter, maps, most all apps from the market.
-Video plays from Netflix, although their does appear to be a 1 or 2 second delay between audio and video.

Didn't know there was an update on the android central forum
not sure if it has to do with the music FC but if I try to select a ringtone it will FC , i can't take a screenshot of the FC popup. other wise this rom looks great!
Edit: also, the swipe to dismiss is not working, it will move to the side but either go back or it woll select the thing I'm trying to dismiss
Yeah, why is it now a Sprint optimus? there are actually LESS apps for this now! is there a way to change it back to optimus v or to a sprint phone with more apps?
The pic is what i got when I went to the market on my computer with the same account as my phone, but in the phone settings it does say its the virginmobile one?
i can't set a notification sound. When i goto System Settings > Sound > Notification Ringtone > then click android system to select the sound the phone reboots.
Looks sweet I gotta try it

How well does it run (speed and smoothness) compared to CM7.2 from the various sources posted here?
i really enjoyed this ROM. the only issue i had was that my 3G just randomly stopped working about 3 days after the ROM was installed. i tried toggling data, airplane mode, cdma, everything and it wouldn't work, so i flashed back to IHO.
i do miss it though.

from what ive seen, its ****ing FAST! I had it running for 3 days before I realized I didn't even overclock it yet! very smooth also, some bugs but worth it.
best part has to be the keyboard, I can type about 30% faster, it just works better
rom is super fast compared to iho. i can actually text and listen to music at the same time. Only bugs i've noticed is google music doesn't work, can't set a notification/ringtone sound and when you click on the updater another force close. Im giving it a couple more days tell i flash back to iho, hopefully the notification sound will get fixed so i can stick with this rom

If you use an app like zedge, you can set your ringtone and notifications sounds from within the app and it works just fine.
Has anybody been able to figure out how to be able to swipe a notification away without the pull down menu going away? Kinda annoying to have to pull it down again to swipe each notification.
Liking it alot overall though...fast compared to IHO CM7. Any chance some type of updater app can be implemented similar to the Backside Updater found on the CM7 build? that would be a great feature for this awsome ROM. Thanks for all the hard work
Has anyone else had problems with this rom randomly restarting and freezing?
I love this rom, but it keeps restarting. I installed the updated one.

Its not miui. Its another OS the chinese have developed
So far my findings.
Very fast and fluid rom, really like it! Actually the video camera works on my phone its just a little laggy most likely an issue with the media_profiles.xml file.
This is pretty much MIUI with the benefit of android 2.3.7 as well as a drawer!!! I am going to use it for a while as my dd and see what else I find.
The camera is pretty nice, the photos are good, it appears the navigation buttons (home, menu etc) are too bright but this is likely part of the issue with the keys not lighting up.
Also the auto brightness is a bit dark, so I set it to manual brightness for now until this is fixed, also probably due to some smali files not being changed fully in framework.jar
Overall Awesome work, very happy there is a new rom out there now!
===EDIT===
I received a reboot after clocking over 1300mhz so I ended up installing the ILWT kernel and testing again, it appears to be smoother but might be too early to tell.
Also the link to install the google addons is not working can you please fix.

Yeah, sure you can flash anything in the world, but if it's not made for your phone, it might get bricked, and if it happens to work for some reason, of course it will be filled whit bugs.
I suggest everyone watches their language and attitude.
Consider this a warning
This is nice and smooth. Really like the way the app drawer works. Only major criticisms so far are a lack of Google calendar and no track pad wake. Calendar is easily sorted but wake would be useful.

Would looooove to have a full working tweaked version of this rom! Really hope it's updates. Very smooth and fast.

if anyone can tell me how to fix any issues with this rom it would be greatly appreciated
Well, I haven't noticed many issues.
1. Physical button backlight is too bright, like someone else said earlier
2. Folders in the app drawer; the icons aren't aligned properly.
3. No trackpad wake, like others have said.
4. Battery life seems bad.
Will edit as I run into more problems. This is definitely a good rom. Just needs some minor fixes.

[APP] Tabletizer Alpha 4 (2013.03.02)

! WARNING !
This is Alpha version meaning app is in active development! It may contains lots of bugs and may damage your device! Use on your own risk! Always backup before using!
I'm proud to present you Tabletizer - one-click solution (someday in the future, more clicks today) to turn your phablet Nexus 7 in to a real tablet. It should work on any AOSP 4.2 based ROMs and original ROMs from Google. Your ROM should be deodexed and you should have TWRP/CWM installed. Root is not required
Installation:
Have your N7 charged to at least 30% - the process eats a lot of battery;
Reboot to recovery;
BACKUP!
Reboot to OS;
Install APK;
Run Tabletizer and tap "Run Tabletizer" button (WARNING! Do not rotate device until process is finished!);
Wait until !FINISH! message is shown or any error message appear;
If you see error - send me a screenshot;
If everything is OK - reboot to recovery;
Install update.zip generated in /sdcard/data/tabletizer/temp;
Reboot;
...
PROFIT!
Uninstall:
Reboot to recovery;
Restore backup;
Reboot to OS.
WIP.

Don't rotate UI is not ready at all, sorry. BTW, rotating will cause patching run in background thread and you will not know when it stops.

AW: [APP] Tabletizer Alpha 4 (2013.03.02)
Works without problems on cm 10.1 latest nightly.
Just thought I should mention. Running the apk in landscape mode with full battery charge (not plugged into wall) caused the screen to timeout and the text of the process didn't scroll down. So now I can't see when the !FINISH text pops up. Figured I'd give it at least 20 minutes to be on the safe side.
How long does tabletizer usually take to finish the process?
Thanks for your work!
You are the man aux can't believe you got it working!! Gonna try it on aokp
My n7 took about 7-10 minutes to complete. I made sure to not let mine go to sleep (had the time out issue on his alpha3 version so knew better). Might want to add to the directions just to disable rotation and lengthen screen timeout.
Only oddity is it still goes back to default wallpaper (funky green grass) but that really affect nothing as you can then set the wallpaper as you desire after boot.
Excellent work, you da man!
On a side note, many status bar and notification drawer options in cm10.1 don't work, and tabletUI uses a different quick settings model so those don't work either. Please note, this is NOT a criticism of this mod or thought of as a bug. It is just an effect of enabling tabUI. To me I happily accept this trade off.
Sent from my Nexus S 4G using Tapatalk 2
It worked and I got a tablet UI (I'm running cm10.1 nightly). When I open notifications and press the button for "clear all", it clears them all. If I press that spot again after the notifications are clear, I get "Unfortunately System UI as stopped".
Worked great for me. No fc's yet. Looks nice, especially with apex launcher in tablet mode.
Edit: It seems to shave a bit off the sides of app icons in both home screen and app drawer.

Some bugs.
For me, SuperSU didn't worked(it was asking for some binary update, and when i agreed there was a error) untill i installed Superuser and gave root access to SuperSU.
Second illustrated on screenshot #1. Yes, it is problem with russian symbols, but i don't want to use my phone in english.
Third(maybe it is not a bug) is when i long-pressing on notification widget icon(wi-fi, bluetooth, it doesn't matter) in status bar, it opening menu that i want, but in background and not closing(pulling up) status bar. Even if i checked "Hide on change" in notification settings.
Forth, there is no "Automatic Brigtness" in display settings(showed on screenshot #2)
And thank you again for great look.
Why did you not mentioned that you changed look of last used apps(screenshot #3)? For me it is a good news.
Edit: Problem with digits and letters solved by installing and aplying another theme.

Hmm. In settings showing "V-1"(i formated data/cache/system before installing). And all problems are the same. Except keyboard pop-up and root access request for apps.
Another one.
At first boot, status bar is black. No battery/time/signal icons. After rebooting they appears, but after some time it FC and need to reboot again.
And after applying another theme, status bar icons disappears.
Edit: Oh, yeah. And videorecord is blured.
And what is the "Dolby Mobile"? I mean, give us back DSP Manager. Cuz i didn't find any EQ settings anywhere and don't want to use any other app for sound.
Oh. After about 20 minutes of use, my phone don't want to turn on display. And he is rebooted himself.
And side button don't work too.

And side button don't work too.

saw this just the other day.. Thought it was interesting, Downloading now! Thanks
Indeed thank you for posting. Wanted to say not a full day yet but so far so good.
It's always nice to try something new out now and then. This ROM included VVM
which for a CM hybrid or any CM based ROM is a first for me. It works too!
USB OTG works somewhat. Plugged in one usb stick and said it was damaged.
Different phone with TW no issue with the same usb stick. Haven't tested MHL yet.
So far battery life has been above my expectation. Still need to reformat
my ext. SD and give a week and see how battery goes. Again thanks for posting :good:

Not booting for me. I have a "newer" S3. Am I screwed until the boot-fix is applied to this?

Ran this for the last few days. For the most part, it's been very nice but I have run into a few things. Mainly it seems when running certain games or when connected to my car via bluetooth for music playback it will just completely freeze. The audio will still play but the screen freezes and I cannot back, hit home or long press home to kill it. Because of how much I have to be in the car I am switching back to plain CM 10.2 for now but will be watching and testing this going forward. Thanks for the hard work and really excited for what this might end up as

Looks great I was hoping for a flashing weekend.
Not yet. Sorry. I did wipe and return to stock then flashed plain cm 10.1. I wiped again and reflashed this back over that and everything seems much better if not near perfect now though. It may have been something weird with coming back from a 4.3 ROM to 4.2.2(even though I always wipe and go from scratch.

This seems to be a problem I also have. Flashing stock, CM 10.1 and again Chameleon. Being a few days now,
has it seemed to help any or has the freezing come back? Curious because I would never have thought to do that.
Though I know rom's sometimes need to be flashed a certain way. Any feedback would be great.
Other than this issue I have been getting pretty good battery life. Call quality is good. Overall it's a pretty good rom.
