Bluetooth pendant: Suggestions - Samsung Epic 4G Touch

I'm looking to purchase a bluetooth pendant with particular features:
Play, Pause, Fwd/Rwd, Vol +/- & Call answer
Another plus would be one that has illuminated controls & the option to use a lanyard or clip.
I looked over the Jabra Street2:

Which has all those features listed but after reading & watching some video reviews a majority of users state that the built in microphone has poor quality. The users on the other end can barely hear you.
Can anyone here recommend one that has all those features listed but with good mic quality?

I'm interested in peoples experiences too.. I've been looking to get the Sony Ericsson MW600
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B003DQ1DCM/

I actually did look into that one as well & even though it doesn't have some of the features I'd like it seems to do its job. I also read reviews from Amazon users who purchased the device & 30 out of 145 who did buy it complained about the device freezing. Still it got an average of 4 out of 5 stars.
I do have one concern though: Do these BT devices allow you to control streaming music apps or just the stock player? I downloaded a nifty streaming app called Dood's Music Streamer & was wondering if it would recognize commands from any BT device.

The mic seems fine on the MW600s, I have had no complaints. It even seems to hear me fine when covered by a layer of clothing.
The MW600 is pretty tiny, however, and doesn't have the option of being worn as a pendant, so just be aware. That said, it has Play, Pause, SkipFwd/SkipBack, A Volume Slider (probably the most complained-about setup, since it's touchy and can be tough to use) & Call answer functionality... just know that the buttons are very small and all arranged around a tiny little barrel-like shape about the size of a AAA battery.
I love mine, especially that it has an FM radio also. I use it constantly to control Voice Command (which brings the phone out of sleep if you don't have a pattern/number lock set) which works very well.

Yes, you can use these (the MW600 at least) to control Google Music, Pandora, etc in addition to the stock music player (whatever is last active is what will be controlled). I haven't tested Dood's Music Streamer, so I'm not sure about that one, but if it doesn't work it's likely a problem with the software, not the bluetooth unit.

Got the Jabra unit pictured several years ago. Still have it, audio quality is acceptable but can attest to the poor mic quality.

You can find it everywhere on ebay. Actually, you can access this ebay link for more information http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI...loc=closed_view_item&refwidgettype=osi_widget.
Because I am in Australia so I use Australian ebay. I think can find it on your localized ebay site. Is costs around 21 USD excluding shipping cost.
I have just tried mine out. The exact model you list, the BK 08.
It sounds good. I have only tested for a few minutes, but it paired up instantly and just worked. I have tried incoming calls, and it switches over to the call correctly and back to the music. The buttons work as expected, controlling calling and music playback.
I walked away from the phone to check the range, and I experienced a skip or two beyond 5m distance, but when in normal range of the phone, it's flawless.
More about the quality. I have reasonably good ears, having owned etymotic ER4s before now and consider myself a minor audiophile. From a limited listen, I have no complaints about the quality of the stream.
I was expecting to hear encoding artifacts as the material listened to was MP3, and afaik, the a2dp device will encode for transmission using the SBC codec. No obvious negative effects were detected with my admittedly average Technics headphones. If anything, the audio loses a little definition and punch. Not the same as a wired connection, but easily good enough for me.
I have enabled the a2dp registry tweak in the Kaiser tweak tool.
I bought from an ebay user called phone_base, paid £18 including postage, and received the item after about 18 days.
Very happy, and pleasantly suprised.
It wasn't so great on the train on the way home. I heard some little pops and there were more skips, so I did some more tweaks:
http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=7715
It is much better now.
Also, I realised there was no easy way to turn on/off the bluetooth stereo output, so I installed this:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=338263&highlight=a2dp
The only other problem is that Mort player doesn't support avrcp so I can't pause it with the headset. I might have a go at this later:

[REVIEW] My latest bluetooth accessory: Clarion VX709

I bought & had installed my first custom stereo (with new alarm!) in a vehicle in 15yrs. My last one was stolen & I've been apprehensive since. I just got tired of having an antiquated radio!
Bluetooth profiles supported: A2DP/AVRCP/HFP/OPP
OPINION: WORKS GREAT! Sound quality is good on a call. Poeple on the call could hear me no problem. It sounds like they're by my feet when hearing them talk. No big deal.
Control is great. About the same .5-.75 sec delay from button push before a response as the BH-214. It feels faster though. I had my buddy in the car & I handed him my phone & he was selecting songs & they were playing no problem.
The quality of audio over bluetooth is waaaaay better than I expected. I'm pleasantly surprised there. I can not hear any odd artifacts like compression or digitalization of the sound. I can hear a distinct difference of audio quality when using Pandora though. Pandora sounds almost like AM transmission.
It also works great in USB mode too. If I connect my cable, it charges the phone (pleasant surprise) and reads the ID3 tags. It does NOT read the ID3 tags over BT, but I guess that's a limitation of BT or the supported profiles?
Overall, it's a great accessory for my EVO & I'm using it more for listening to Mp3s than FM! I could get an XM or Nav addon for the Clarion too. The neat thing is, I can setup a destination on the Google Nav & it reads the directions out over BT too. I dig that. Almost makes the nav addon pointless & less expensive by $200!
The only downside to this experiment was that the '94-'96 Impala SS does NOT have the ability to support double din stereos without modification. I had to buy a kit ($170) just to mount the stereo, then spend about 2-3 hours modifying the dash and bezel to fit.
Here you can see some of the epoxy (lower left) & exposed cuts (across top):
Here you can see the extra space on the bottom, but the face needs to swing down some to open/close:
Prior to cutting the center section & disconnecting the AC controls:
Backside of the AC controls for reference to reconnect, in case I forgot:
yeah, I rock a Kenwood DNX-9140 In my truck, Love it.

Thanks to the heads up by the OP, I got this headset at this discounted price. My headset arrived today and I've been pleasantly surprised. I first paired and connected it to my older Android phone running Froyo. It was recognized immediately and paired and connected with no issues. Call quality with the phone was excellent (the person I phoned confirmed that the sound was very clear on his end) and the call feature that uses your contacts list on the phone and phones when you pronounce a contact's name works on the phone. I next paired and connected to my note while leaving the device paired to my phone. Although the headset paired and connected, it crashed my note twice. Once I de-paired from my phone, the headset stabilized on my note and I was able to make calls using the VOIP program C-Sip Simple. The call quality was very good but not quite as crisp on my end as with the phone (the people whom I called thought the sound quality was good). The call from contacts list feature doesn't work with VOIP tablets because the headset is programmed to look for a native phone dialer, which is missing on the WIFI notes. All-in-all, I'm very happy with my purchase, especially since I'm planning on upgrading my phone this year to a larger model with a 5-inch screen. I have an in-ear BT headset but I only use it when driving or on my daily run. This headset will be very nice to use at other times. Here are some photos.

I have the stick as well. I use it with my Note 2, which I can now leave in my huge wallet case. I like it especially for the fact that it vibrates to alert me, and that I don't have to keep anything in my ears.

FM Tuner question

I recently purchased a Hizpo Android headunit with 9.0 it has 4gb of RAM and 64 internal storage. Anyway my question is, I noticed that the mp3's audio seems to sound alot better than just the FM Tuner. The FM audio sounds really weak. Is there any adjustments I can make to the settings or is that just the way it is. I have a 10 inch kicker Sub that is self amplified and sounds good on the mp3's but on the Tuner it is almost non existent. I don't have the external remote gain for the Sub, but is that what I need to get the sound closer to where the mp3's sound? The unit is installed in a 2007 Ford supercrew cab truck.

Hi,
I have looked on amazon.ca and wasn't sure which of the several units were what you were recommending.
There was a Mr Ho product with many positive reviews. here is a link;
https://www.amazon.ca/Mr-Ho-Antenna...ar+radio+signal+booster&qid=1605705299&sr=8-9
Can you share details on the product you recommended ?
Perhaps a web link or product name etc.
Thanks From Nova Scotia,
I've seen this.

I used to have a cheap unit that I got from Ebay. It worked well enough to watch live TV through using PDA net. Great for long drives. My boss and I watched a Monday night game when we had to make a five hour drive. Be careful though. My TV service was noticeably lower than the MP3 volume and equalizer effect. I had to get a get an app to fix the issue. This was on an Android 4.2 and it was five years ago. I do know that they have apk's that balance the sound. Another option is to look at the code. Its not too difficult to figure out. This morning I found the one on my phone that sets the Bluetooth volume way low when it is channeled through a speaker. It was in the ".etc" file. Coders usually do a fair job at labeling each section. It was easy to see that the headphone, call, and hearing aid were all set with maximum values of 4800 with steps for each volume reference at double the speaker that was set at 2800. Careful with this though. If you're driving the sound through an amplifier, as I think you are and should with 10" subs, then you stand a chance of burning up the amp and/or blowing the speakers if you put too much out from the head unit pre-amp. Its better to adjust the MP3 down rather than the FM up.

In the package are the headphones, a charging/transport box combo, and one USB-c cable.
They come powered by the Qualcomm QCC3040 and have Bluetooth 5.2. Two microphones are in every earbud (4 in total) to capture the voice perfectly and filter out environmental noises. The form factor is much like on Apple earpods (see the photos yourself).
They come in a charging case, the charging case uses USB-C to charge itself and then it can charge the headphones 4 times by the inbuild battery. Overall you will get 5hours of playback time. This means 1 full charge plus 4 recharges through the case will give you 5 * 5h = 25h of playback time. Which is pretty nice!
The headphones have a touch control feature, you can simply touch (not press!) the headphone to play/pause etc. your music. Which comes in handy if you don't want to take out your phone. To do so you need to touch them at the logo of the headphones. One tap on the right one will increase the music volume, one tap on the left one will decrease it. Long touch right, next track, long touch left, previous track. Double tap (on both) is play/pause. etc.
Like i said, this works very well. There is also a voice assistant if you press 3 times (no matter which side), but i personally don't like voice control on headphones, but if you like it, it is there for you.
Bluetooth pairing didn't make any issues at all, it was quick and reliable. Just take out the rigt earpiece and start binding, done!
The headphones are a good fit in my ears, i would personally not recommend them for sports, but they should be good for anything else. Overall i think if you want to do sports with wireless headphones you should use another form, the apple like form is a nice fit, but doesn't stay in the ear for jumping around. (Atleast not in my ears )
Sound is very good, i am not audiophile, so i just represent my layman subjective view on this. I am very happy with the sound from this 35€ devices. I did not change any settings and just listened to some online radio and i am fine with the sound.
Overall: Pretty nice headphones for a cheap price! I can definetly recommend them!
They seem very good price point and quality. Nice review!
do you have issue of suppressed sound when using mic on windows 10? it's the only problem for me
