TiBu flaky on this phone... - LG Nitro HD

Anyone find TiBu being very flaky? If had it freeze and force close for about an hour while trying to restore the apps from my Atrix
Edit:
It seems to be working OK now... but waaayyyy slower restoring than my Atrix....
Edit again....
sooooooo slooooowwww

I have no problem restoring. I use class 4 sdhc card which I took from my Atrix 4G.

And you sure did enable debug mode on your phone, correct?
Mine seems to restore as fast as on Atrix 4G

What [email protected] said is correct. TiBu only works well when in Debug mode. So yes, you have to enable Debug mode under Development in Application Settings. However, Debug mode on this phone is funny, in the sense that it will not stay running in Debug mode unless your phone is connected to a PC and is in PC software mode.
I had the same issue as you did restoring apps and data from the Atrix phone using TiBu. And then I realized that in order for it to work "properly", it needs Debugging mode enabled. And than I remembered a member here saying that Nitro's Debugging mode wont run unless you connect the phone to the PC and select PC software mode. Once I did that, TiBu ran flawlessly and was done restoring in less than half hour.
Hope this helps you

Little correction: it will stay in debug mode until it's connected to PC in anything other then "PC Software" mode. As long the default connection is set to "PC Software" the debug mode will stay active regardless if phone connected or not to PC.

Thanks, didnt realize it actually does that. Also, the phone resets Debug mode to off when you restart the phone correct?

Hmm...mine doesn't. I wonder why....

mine also stays enabled on reboot.

All I had to do to get TiBu working was change the app processing mode to auto, indirect. Then I just disabled the USB debugging warning (it says recent versions of su don't need USB debugging enabled).

I heard this works, I just don't want to spend $7 bucks to restore 1 app.
It seems like the developer made the free version of TiBu flaky so we'd have to buy the pro version
The app I uninstalled was AT&T Hot Spots, but I wanted to check it out and see if it was any good.

I have the paid version, no difference on mine. I won't say flaky, but it still doesn't work well without Debugging mode.

Try installing HTC Sync drivers.
Yes what Jykinturah said. After that i would get options on how i wanted it connected to my pc. i.e. charge only, Hard disk , etc.
ive done that already, nothing works, maybe i need the drivers n my comp wont download them upon connecting the phone

one thing you might try is disabling sense and using the android launcher. then reset the phone. once it boots up try and connect it to your pc. This was how I got mine to connect. when I was using the sense launcher it somehow blocked that options screen and the default I selected wouldn't stick. once I got the connection to my pc working this way I was able to re-enable sense and it's worked perfectly ever since.

find HTC Sense and click on it, then hit the "clear defaults" button and now hit the home key. it'll offer you the choice of sense or Launcher. pick launcher and once that loads up go ahead restart the phone to clear any remnants of sense.
try selecting the mount as disk drive option hen you connect it to the computer. It should show up then under one of the disk drives.

Try rebooting into recovery and see if it works. If it doesn't its anything, if it does try backing up and using a fresh rom.

Edit: it's working literally after i posted this but i didn't do anything... is there a solution to this if it happens again in the next like 2 minutes lol
further update: it just keeps going in out of this but mostly giving me this error than working anyone have a solution?
strange i just got an S III, getting the same issue. i going to try another PC i think it could maybe be driver related
Yeah works just fine on the other PC (both running Windows 7 x64) so im guessing driver related?

That's really strange, I mean i just installed the drivers last night to root my device and it all worked fine and i guess it decided to say "buzz off" to me the next day.. I think it's happening on a lot of other phones because I was googling earlier how to fix this problem but didn't really see anything on how to do it
Try reinstalling the phone with naked drivers.

I just got this message as well....and guess what, had just finished installing updates for Windows.
Any solid answer on how to fix this?
I see this when the debugging mode is on, if you turn off debugging the error goes away
I still get the error even after deselecting debugging.
Thing is, it was working perfectly fine with debugging on, until I updated Windows 7.
I think it has to do with someone with one of the security updates or something......really annoying!
I'm having this issue on my Galaxy Note as well. I started getting it once I updated from 4.0.3 ICS to 4.0.4.
I have to connect phone using the USB Mass Storage now. Before my phones SD and phone storage would be detected as soon as I plugged it in via usb.

i've also been having this recently. i'm guessing that a windows 7 update has messed something up with mtp drivers as my phone was working fine across 3 different windows machines and now doesn't work on any of them :\ it has stopped appearing in explorer as a connected device in media or camera mode.

I'm curious if its a hardware issue or something else. I've restored a backup i had to see if that helped but nothing. If i return to stock unrooted will that help? Or does someone have an idea as to why and how to fix this? Thanks for any help.
No idea. I did some searches for something like "android stuck usb charge only" and came up with the below. Some folks said that they were able to fix it, though not permanently, by wiping. The above seemed to work for some, though again, not permanently. I wasn't able to find anything else.
Did you try connecting to other PC's?
Did you try removing the device from your PC's device manager, uninstall the driver, then reinstall the driver and reconnect?
I agree it seems hardware'ish because it's also a problem with the MHL cord, too. I wish I could help more, but there's not much out there about being stuck in charge only mode.
Are you still under Manufacterer's warranty? Maybe that can be returned because it won't mount.?

Warranty is not an option because its past due. I do have insurance but am afraid of not getting an OG in return and i dont know how all that works to be honest.

Have you tried different drivers yet? There's 3 of them here.

I started having this problem after installing the latest LG drivers. Replicated the issue on 3 different Windows 7 PCs. 1 32-bit home-built, 1 64-bit Gateway laptop with OEM image, 1 64-bit HP Laptop with work image.
Before upgrading, phone connects fine with in both MTP & PTP modes just using built-in (or pulled from WU) drivers. After upgrading to LG drivers, PC no longer detects the phone. Uninstalling the drivers or going backwards to earlier versions does not fix the problem.
Again, thanks to everyone for their responses, I really appreciate it. But unfortunately nothing seems to be helping my issue. I'm going by my wife's job to hook up to her computer to see if hers can recognize my phone, well at least I hope.
One thing I ask of someone, I've been using Arliberator to connect to my radio. Maybe someone has more knowledge than me to help.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/...51bGwsMSwyLDEsImNvbS5reWxlLmFybGliZXJhdG9yIl0.
Anyways, it has an option under settings to "fix drivers" which I have no idea what it does so i never messed with it. Except for when it wouldnt connect to the radio, I pressed it. Could that have anything to do with it not connecting to pc? I've emailed the dev of this app but have gotten no response as to what it does.
I'm really at a loss here as I can still use my phone but not to its full potential. Its frustrating because I cant even return to stock to see if it will fix my issue. Is there any other way to return to stock without a pc? Like can i flash a stock RUU? I ask because I once had an Evo 4g and was able to do it that way.
Again, thanks to everyone's responses.
I finally heard from the dev of ARLiberator and he guarantees me his app has nothing to do with my phone and that the "fix drivers" is for the app only. He says to try and reset my phone to try and solve my issue. But wouldn't that completely erase my phone?
Idk how I got here...

[Q] USB Debugging

Hello and good day all!
Currently I'm using ParanoidAndroid 3.10. My problem is that I can't seem to find USB Debugging option/toggle. I've used Reverse Tethering (fast leased line in my university) and I love it, but since I can't find the option to turn on USB Debug in PA, I can only use packet data and WiFi.
Am I going "blind"?

[Q] PC won't recognize USB (no error message)

My Phone
Hi, Uber-noob here. I have the sprint samsung gs3, Model number sph-l710, android version 4.1.2. I had stock rooted my phone via QBKing77's video (thanks man!) and had had no problems, including connecting my phone by USB (PDA net, Odin, etc.) to my PCs.
My Problem
For no reason I can see, my laptop(s) stopped recognizing my phone. There is no message, the pc acts as though nothing was plugged in, no message. Device manager shows nothing either. The ONLY sign that my phone was plugged in at all is the "battery charging" icon on my phone.
What I've Done
I use a good data cable that used to work, and have bought and tried a new one. I have tried 2 other computers. I have reinstalled the USB drivers. I have pulled the battery from my phone, waited, and put it back in. I just did a factory reset. Nothing has changed.
I hope someone here can help me figure this out, cause I'm stumped. Please let me know if I can provide any more info. Thanks!

I would still try another cable because I've cables quit working out of the blue before. Also, it may help if you go to device manager and uninstall/remove your USB hub and then restart your computer...it will automatically detect and reinstall it.
I would try with a linux livecd/liveusb to rule out a driver issue. Also try a different cable. Or make sure your cable works - try with another device or computer.
And there really should be no need for extradrivers if you plug it in a mass storage mode. At least my two phones work with Win7, Ubuntu and Crunchbang otb.

Hello, I'm not familiar with linux at all so that would be more of a last resort. However, I have tried multiple computers and a brand new data cable so that is not the answer probably. I appreciate the suggestion though!

Open Dialer enter ##3424#
When PhoneUtil Opens Select PDA
Tap Qualacomm USB Setting

Let me know if that does the trick

That was a good idea! But it didn't work unfortunately. I'm starting to think that I may have a bad micro USB port in my phone. But the phone charges just fine, so I dunno. I hope you have more ideas? Thanks a lot dor the advice!
Yeah could be one of the pins in the port is messed up. Would explain why it charges, but no data connection.
I swear I tried every suggested solution out there – uninstalling and reinstalling drivers. Rebooting in download mode and trying to get phone and PC top lay nice. I accessed all those hidden settings and poked around with the settings. Three hours of tooling around the web looking for solutions and I got nowhere. Then I came across some obscure site where somebody suggested the pins might be off. With the care of a surgeon, I slipped the tip of a knife into my phone's USB port and nudged it every so slightly. Plugged and in and there was that elusive USB symbol, offering up all those grand options. I would've bet anything that this was some complex driver issue, but no. It was a slightly bent pin in that tiny opening at the bottom of my SIII. I'm not sure if I should be elated or annoyed at all the time wasted. I hope you guys find your own solutions, whatever they prove to be. Yeeeeeeeeeeeeeesh.
