3800mah extended battery - Samsung Galaxy Nexus

Has anyone tried this one?

I bought this one:

Stupid seller! Batteries are the wrong size! Don't even fit! Avoid that seller.

i'd say just wait until Seidio's 3800mAh battery is available. It's going to be more expensive, but at least you won't have to worry about some generic battery doing damage to your phone.

Dude why would you buy those? There's no way they'll fit without a custom door, and I seriously doubt they have NFC in them.

The first one comes with a battery cover. The second ones use the standard cover.
That being said, the second ones are likely not 1900 mah and Voxigenboy, seidio will probably only make that battery for the Verizon version.

Seidio is currently working on developing a 3800mah battery for the Galaxy Nexus . I would personally wait for them to release that battery then go the ebay route . One its gonna fit our phones . 2. Its gonna be closer to the 3800 mah rating due to more quality control standards being in place mainly because Seidio is a big company as opposed to the small Hong Kong groups selling batteries . Granted Seidio's battery wont support NFC which for me is a moot point since I already have it disabled and dont plan to use that function of the phone (Think Evo 3D , I never used the 3d function of that either LOL) . Im sure the initial batch of extended batteries might have issues with fit and quality out the door but as production ramps up it will or should improve . Granted I dont generally like Seidios prices but recently they have been sending out online coupons that drop 10% sometimes 20% off your orders . This is a good thing since Im sure most cases and holsters currently out there wont accomidate the new extended battery , unless you use some redneck engineering (No Duct tape is not included in the R&D aspect LOL atleast not mine) . I remember with the EVO 4G and their extended battery you would be able to cut a TPU case to fit the battery perfectly and it would work with their holster as well . Im hoping the case still stands when the Nexus Galaxy battery is released , since most Seidio extended cases dont fully protect all sides of the phone .

Power case

Been looking for a phone case that has a built in extended life battery built in.....anyone found one?

i would highly doubt that one would be made, in the grand scheme of things the captivate isnt all that popular of a phone to design an extended battery AND case for the phone. there just isnt the market for it.
batteries sure, the battery can fit in a few more models than just the captivate
and cases, take pennies (or less) to mass-produce, who cares if 3/4s of theme never get sold and thrown out, they made 1000% profits off them.
the i phones, and bbs that have those types of cases are alot more common of a phone, there is only 1 shape iphone (per year), and few standard bb shapes. there are (creeping on) 100 android phones now...
100,000 iphones vs , 500 captivates, which would you make an EXPENCIVE dedicated accessory for?
dont get me wrong i would LOVE one, especially since my otterbox defender case doubles the thickness anyway, i just doubt it will happen.
just so you know i just bought an OFFICIAL oem battery with delivery for under 20$ on ebay. better than a no-name battery in a battery-case......

[Q] Yet another battery thread

Ok, i believe that i read some time back that you could use a touch pro 2 battery in the evo. correct me if im wrong, but if the stock battery that we use is as true to 1500mah, wouldnt the HTC manufactured 2150 mah be one of the best extended batteries to buy? I have found a couple for sale, and wanted to be sure that the touch pro 2 battery does in fact work in our evo. thanks and sorry for yet another battery post.
http://www.amazon.com/Sprint-RHOD17..._1_4?s=wireless&ie=UTF8&qid=1301383140&sr=1-4
Here is the amazon link to the batteries. I know they wont fit under our stock door but for 10 slices of paper from my wallet plus the addition of having to buy another stock evo battery cover to modify to fit this battery, I feel like this isn't a bad deal considering the price. I should get the battery sometime around Friday or Monday of next week. Will post pics of said modification and results as soon as possible.
there are "3500" mAh batteries available for under $10 too. I believe they are closer to 2800. I've found the yoobao 3000mah batteries to be the best, got mine for 20 shipped.
and yes, the tp2 will work in an evo. you aren't going to be able to mod the stock cover to fit that. just buy an extended cover, you can get them with the battery for about 8.

Well I'm gonna hack up my old battery Cover so the battery will stick through. I have one of those crystal gel cases that will hold the battery in place, I just want the cover there to act as a speaker cover. The extended covers make the phone too large. I think this will keep the phone slim it will only be slightly thicker than it is now. I have come up with a couple of designs as well that allow me to use the stock battery door and hold the battery in place without my case. Like I stated in my earlier post, I'll post up the concept and see what ppl think. I just wish they made a battery cover that went around the battery and not make the entire back bubble out.
Check out the Mugen 4500 mah battery if you will be hacking up your back cover... I think there is a thread that has info for it.. Search
Gimme a week and ill post what im doing. Lol i still wanna keep the phone slim for the most part, so no 3500 or 4500 mah batteries

I'm loving my Yoobao 3000mah battery. With medium use, overclocking and custom kernel, I get about 36 hours out of my phone. Well 28-29 not counting sleep time.
verdict 2150mha touch pro 2 battery DOES NOT WORK!!!! Repeat DOES NOT WORK! So i bought a sedio 3500 battery and fell in love with that instead!

[Q] Case for Sprint 2600mah battery

Hi,
Wife loves her Evo, but hates the battery life. She really uses it, so she has to keep it on the charger. I have a Platinum (aka Seidio) 3500mah battery and love it, but she doesn't like how it makes the phone "huge". So I got her the Sprint battery. It's not much smaller, but apparently it is good enough. But she won't use the phone without a case. This is probably a good thing, because she drops it. Much more often than I like. I've been looking for a good case that will fit the battery. I've seen several posts that say that Seidio's Surface extended case will work. But I was thinking about the purple Laza case for Laza's extended battery (can't post a link. It's on Amazon). She loves purple, so this would be perfect. Does anyone know if this would work, or if there are any other cases that I should consider for her phone?
Thanks
In terms of cases your gonna be limited on what you can get . In the case of the Seidio (which I have) I had to cut the back out of a TPU case and more or less make a bumper case on my phone . Essentially you could do the same with the Sprint 2600 and its backplate . But you will still have a hump coming out of the case . The Laza case I believe only works for their backplate unless you are planning on getting that with the purple case . Like I said your options are gonna be limited . In terms of cutting a case like I mentioned before . If you take your time and measure it out very well you would almost believe it was part of the extended battery back and one piece .
Can you buy the backplate separately from the battery? I didn't see it for sale anywhere, but might have missed it. I'd be fine doing that if I could do it and if it would work with the battery. I'd also do it for my Seidio battery as well. I'd rather have one of the silicone cases than the Seidio case.
More than likely you should be able to buy the battery back by itself . I know Seidio sells their battery back as a seperate part . As for other battery manufacturers I am not sure about .

Right. It's just a question of finding one that will fit the Sprint 2600 battery. It has an oddly shaped battery cover. If I could replace the battery cover with something more common, then the world of cases would open right up...
May this help you decide
For what would be cheaper than the cost for a back elsewhere I thought why not just get a cheap battery for the price.
The 2600 battery I have is a cheap chinese version its the same size as the 3500 I got from Amazon, they fit the same back... Appears to be the same size as sprints 2600.
http://www.amazon.com/Laza-Sprint-Extended-Battery-Silicone/dp/B004LOBXZ2
The 3500 (generic, not laza) was 8$ and some change, comes with a back (exact size as lazas 3500 battery back) and fits the laza silicone case (you mentioned) that I also got (14.99) and it fits perfect, so you could use both 2600 and 3500 batteries with same back..
Those and a 6$ hdmi cable qualified me for free shipping (took about 2wks)... but all for under 30.
Backing fits case, contours and protects well, awesome battery life
after calibration. I been using for about 3 wks now.
No complaints ...it is bulky but I got big hands and it feels sturdy.
i bought my case from gorillagadgets.com check it out. pretty nice and fits the phone w/ extended battery

I have the 2600 from amazon and I wanted to get a silicone case but if a 3500 is that cheap and both batteries can fit the case I'll get the battery too and go with that!
-thanks for the heads up
I have the seidio innocase extended and it works with the 2600 battery.

Do you happen to have the link to the battery that you bought. Buying an ultra cheap battery for the back sounds like a good idea for me. I already have the 2600mah from Sprint and it's too late to bring it back. I used it for a while, and I liked it, but in the end, I opted for the Seidio 3500. So I want my wife to use the 2600 from Sprint.

If ur wiling to do a bit of modification, you can fit the sprint 2600 battery inside of a ballistic case.... I have it and its a beauty, no one ever knows that theres an extended battery inside unless i pop out the cover

[Q] Galaxy Nexus extended battery

does anyone here knows about this battery ?
I doubt anyone would have specific knowledge for that exact battery and cover. but you get what you pay for.
I dont currently have a galaxy nexus yet, but i bought a cheap $12 3600mah extended battery and cover for my I917 and battery life is excellent. might not be quite 3600mah as advertised(maybe around 3000) but its certainly enough for my needs. It does however add considerable weight and bulk to the phone compared with the official extended battery, so keep that in mind. Also, backcover was not of best quality for mine and is starting to have some cracks, but i use my phone pretty roughly.
All in all, you get what you pay for, its a cheap high capacity battery. If you take care of it, dont mind the bulk, and dont mind that its from china, go for it.
thanks it's around 40$.. the battery and cover.. let's see.. I will buy it when i buy nexus :S i haven't bought it yet.. I am planning to get one.. actually i am confused which phone to buy.. may be I will opt for galaxy nexus!

Official VZW extended battery w/ stock cover

Hey all,
I have the VZW GNexus, and I'm thinking about buying the 2100mAh battery for a bit more battery life out of it. I already have two portable chargers(one 6000mAh, another 3000mAh. What? I don't like running out of power. ), but I'd like to be able to last just a bit longer before needing to charge. Now, the problem is, I also managed to get my hands on the special back cover with the design that was given out to Google employees during Christmas 2012, and I'd hate to have to get rid of it. Could anyone with the official extended battery tell me if the stock cover will fit with the extended battery in?
Thanks!
it might, i think i accidentally put it on mine when i first got it but something didnt look right or fit right.
Mine fits perfect. I actually like the feel better.

With the stock cover? That's great to hear!
I have that now kind of, extended battery and stock case, but broke the bottom right clip trying to get it on... It puts stress on the clips for sure, be careful.... Wouldn't wanna hurt that limited edition cover lol
Edit: took the case off that was holding the battery cover on more or less, it stays on now, the broken clip doesn't make it stick out, it's in somehow... But it bulges a little, I don't have another cam to post a pic unfortunately...

The VZW OEM EXT battery works perfect in the OB Commuter with no door. If that is something you are interesting in.
My next project is to dremel the hard plastic on the inside of the Defender to fit one of those fat third party batteries with all that supposed extra juice. I have read guides on how to do this in sub forums for other devices. If all goes well the soft rubber that goes on the outside of the Defender holds in the battery with minimal bulge. Will report back after I attempt this.

I'm not sure how people are saying the stock back fits with the verizon extended battery. I bought the extended vzw battery and backplate when i bought my phone. The original backplate partially snaps on, at the top and bottom of the phone. the sides will not snap shut due to the slight increase in battery thickness.
I also have bought an anker battery (amazon) that is rated at 2200 mah. It is identical in size to the stock 1850 battery and fits perfectly under the original backplate. the downside is that this battery is designed for the tmobile galaxysS2 and does not have the nfc chip (not an issue for me as i do not use it anyway). I will provide the link to the battery below that also includes a wall charger. For 20 dollars you get the two batteries and the wall charger. I'd say the battery life of these ankers are less than the verizon 2100 mah but certainly more than the oem 1850.
http://www.amazon.com/Anker-Batteri...&qid=1362421935&sr=8-1&keywords=anker+verizon
tl;dr: the vzw 2100mah will not fit behind stock backplate. these anker ones will and are a good deal.
God I love that Google battery door. Show a pic!
The stock extended battery most certainly fits under the standard battery door. It has a tiny bulge but works fine no mod needed.
