Yes %100 safe.
Removing Apps
Do not even try to remove some files listed here from CWM ROM to save space and then Flash it ... For Ex: JW1 rom remove PhoneSetup Wizard ... everything boots ok but HOME key still disabled like in wizard ... Ex: remove servicemode application and you wont pass last screen of setup wizard /// my own exprience of making "Lite" ROM's

NetworkLocation is usefull when your SGS Required to get location using cell tower not GPS.
Mostly weather apps work using this file, if you delete this file then u have to be dependent on GPS.

Enter the city manually. And use gps status app for second job its faster. It hangs 7.8 mb ram always.

Your rom is bloatwared for me. I can delete 15 or more apps from your rom. That's impossilbe to have a non bloatwared zip like afterwards because first boot needs most of things. This list is more huge than the link. And this will be updated.

Is there a list of what each apk does so we can actually decide if it is blotware or not? Some people for example can actually use and may be paying form T-Mobile Caller ID app.
Google is not really helpful when searching for these, most results are similar lists like this.

This rom doesn't wipe your data but for avoid problems do this step:
Reboot into recovery
go to storage menu
mount system
format system
install rom
Installation:
You need a custom kernel with clockworkmode, download the rom and copy it to your SD card, rebbot into recovery and flash it.
MULTI Dpi Info:
What is that?
Basically if you will change your Dpi to a lower value, main apps (Phone,Contacts.ecc) will automatic adapt to screen....no small numbers in dialpad.
It works at values from 120 to 240 but the correct value for having a working camera is 182 dpi.
Note, i suggest you to change launcher if you will go lower than 200.
Market and Dpi:For have a maximum compatibility with market, we have an Old version include, perhaps you need to change something for not let it auto updating to newest version.

Hi,
Thanks for the rom, i downloaded the rom and that file is ok but the rest of the files are corrupted, Hidden Apps, Swype and removed apps. I tried to download from other fileserver but it is the same, so my best guess is that the file was already corrupted before you uploaded it to the files servers, i use 7zip to unpack.
can you please take a look at it ?

Hi... rom is great but I want to use voltage control and I can not because it is not Rooted,,, what is it?
Argh...sorry, since i used my kernel for test i forgot to add su to xbin because my kernel does copy it automatically.
Meantime download package from here http://downloads.androidsu.com/superuser/Superuser-3.0.7-efgh-signed.zip install it via cwm.
In about 1 hour fixed rom will be up

camera FC
I came from stock jq3 2.3.5 (rooted), downloaded and installed this but although all seems working fine, I encounter FC when launching the camera app. I've already tried wiping dalvik cache but still the same... any solutions? thanks

The problem is that this morning my Windows crap 7 partition won't boot and i have all fixed files there.

With me not working DPI Changer - Error "Unable to read configuration file ".....
It works for me "out of the box", try a factory reset.....but wait, i'm uploading fixed build.
I want to remind that you need to use another better launcher if you will use lower dpi, TWlauncher sucks with dpi lower then 240.

ah... yes i didn't realize there was also a prob with the phone after i tried calling... it FCed right after I dialed a number. will try replacing camera.apk and see how it goes. I just 3rd party camera app and it works fine though...

Would it be possible to categorise the apps a bit more so its easier to remove apps which may be junk. For example apps which can have a replacement such as Google music and apps which should not be removed as they may cause incompatibility. Just a suggestion.

Great tool. I like to remove all Samsung apps and google apps on my phone and leave only dialer, messaging, camera, gallery, playstore, and settings. This gives me the benefits of touchwiz framework with a clean, smooth and battery friendly Rom.
I ran the zip and it was great. Thanks for all ur efforts. But it doesn't completely remove all things. For example, going through the thread by failofax (mentioned a few posts earlier) revealed a lot of libs and system Samsung services/apps remaining (like IAP and Samsung push). Maybe include what that thread includes into this aroma package as well? Then this would be a must flash after every Samsung rom.

You can perfectly include a lot of libs and stuff and yes I achieved to trim my rom down with over 912mb but you have to take into concideration that whenever you slim so drasticly the rom might come instable like not being able to launch FB or Twitter without getting a FC thrown at you.
this is the reason that we are working only with apps at the moment unless we are for 200% certain that we can remove another file without any risk of damaging the stable rom.
but we will have a look into it

Thank you for the debloater dude...It really saves me space and battery is quite friendly when debloated.
Although some of the apps that I ticked were not removed due to my system automatically updates it, generally a very nice and easy debloater.

It depends on which APK's you use E.g. Calender, Samsung account etc but I will try and write up a list of "safe to remove" APK's.
I know this answer wont be much help! But give me a bit of time and will get that posted.
It is easier for me to write down what is left on my system
So, here it is. Every other .apk and it's appropriate lib has been removed from my system folder. I have also deleted kies folder from system/etc and samsung tts folder from system/tts. The only thing that is broken is settings/about device/ system updates, if you try to open it settings will force close. That is not an issue for me as we are never going to get any updates. Some of the apps below can also be deleted (such as the calendar, clock widgets, wallpapers, fm radio etc.) according to the users preferences. Also, don't forget to replace the crucial apps you removed, like in my case TouchWiz Launcher and Keyboard, with the alternative ones. I have not removed gapps completely, just the apks, so I could easily put them back if I need to (I only need play store from time to time, and the phone runs pretty smooth and fast without them).

So, you mean you uninstall SystemUI.apk?
I've tried to uninstalled my bloatwares by your list, but it went wrong..
especially when I uninstalled SystemUI.apk
luckily I have my backup
please enlighten me

That is a list of what he left on his mobile. You should uninstall anything that is NOT on the list.

Uninstall superuser and do the motochoper thingy again. Update suoeruser from playstore, open it and update su. And stop spaming.

Try this.
Finally, I've tried to delete those bloatwares according to the reference above, I mean, you know, I left listed bloatwares on my phone.. and it really is surprisingly amazing..
no lag, more responsive, etc..
however (there's a however), I have this LINE app, I'm sure most of you know it, it wouldn't work anymore.. when I open the app, it just blackscreen and return to homescreen, or shows pop up that says "unfortunately LINE has stopped responding; wait ok" something like that..
what to do?

Just tried it. LINE works great without Gapps. Even tested Google Play. Google Play works when I push Phonesky.apk, GoogleLoginService.apk and GoogleServicesFramework.apk back to system folder. You must have done something wrong when removing bloatware.

You could try to leave Google Play Services as well. I cannot remember the exact name of the .apk file it is something GMSCore.... They automatically install on my phone when I start Play Store.. Maybe that is the issue. Also, try clearing the framework and play store data and then reboot your device.

SamsungTTS.apk is Samsung text to speak engine , you can remove if not use
SCParser.apk , i don't know what's that , but i removed it. it 's not affect any my daily usage. you can try backup before remove it

With your google account, i think.
@Aonja : can you remove the "GoogleContactsSyncAdapter.apk" in your aroma, please.
I got the same sync problem but fortunately, i restore the file copy with Titanium pro.

thanks for the report.... I have also taken steps to eliminate by the script some apk that may be necessary which must not be deleted for the normal operation of the device (eg. sync contacts google).
