[Q] battery - Samsung Epic 4G Touch

is there anyway to get a battery percentage in the battery in the notification bar or right beside it with out rooting your device?

"Battery widget" by Elvison can display percentage on your status bar, though it will be on the far left

Here's what it looks like. I enabled it to show you.

I'd recommend the Battery Indicator application developed by Darshan, its available on the Market for free.
The application itself:

That app you have puts the % in the status bar and has it in the pulldown, but the rest is just a shortcut to what we already have. Menu - settings - about phone - battery usage.
So to the OP, just depends on which look you prefer.

[Q] Status Bar Icons/Apps

I have search high, and low, and all I seem to be able to find is that you need to have a rooted device to be able to change the icons in the status bar, and what not. Well my slide is rooted, but I do no see any where that tells how to change them, or change the battery icon to show % and what not. Could someone point me in a direction, or give me some pointers on how to change the icons? Mainly the battery app/icon, I want one that shows % in the right, which most apps will show a % but then I have 2 battery icons, I just want the 1.
Along the lines of his question. Whatever happened to the status bar/tweak options in CM Settings for CM7?
They are implementing the color changing through the themes app they are providing. I wouldnt be suprised if the theme process will eventually cover the unlock slider aswell.

[Q] CM7 Battery Status Bar

I've searched this forum but does anyone know how to display the battery in status bar like in old CM builds?
Do you mean battery percentage? No unless you flash a battery % mod then it won't be viewable. Its not an option in CMsettings for some reason, I think its due to the way that the battery is vertical and its not very big so theres not much room for numbers.
There are apps that can put your battery % in the notifications bar, but really this just drains more battery than its worth. What I've been doing is in CMsettings under Lockscreen you can set to always show the battery % on the lockscreen. That way every time you turn the phone on you can glance at the %.
what battery % mods will work on htc aria, ive been searching with no luck

An update for you OP, the builds I think after nightly #5 of CM7 have an option to show the battery % in place of the battery icon in the normal status bar now.

[Q] Changing battery indicator the easy way?

Is there an easy way (as in a simple flashing of a zip in CWM) to change the battery indicator in the notification area? The stock ICS battery indicator is not very informative (doesn't show percentage). I know I can add an icon to show battery percentage using Battery Monitor Widget, or flash another ROM, but I just want to know if something can be done to change the system battery indicator.
Thanks!
Settings, Display, Display battery percentage. Enjoy.

O my that's easy... thanks! Is there a way to get rid of the icon then? It's totally redundant with the percentage being displayed...

I have not found a way to remove it in the stock ROM. I actually enjoy the exclamation mark when at 4% or lower.

is there a simple app to show battery percentage?

so seeing the green bar isnt very helpful IMO. a percentage would be much greater. my phone is not "rooted" and i run apex launcher instead. is there a simple app to show me the percentage in my notification bar?
Yes there is one of my favorites is Battery Widget Reborn

you can try "settings extended"
it will also give you toggles in your notification tray. great app imo.
thanks guys, i will download both and play around with them.
the first app worked kind of. the percentage displayed on the left... but so did the battery bar on the right.
settings extended has the battery bar on the left too. but I don't understand the point of the app. it looks as if it's supposed to let me replace my notification bar with my own? but I don't understand how to do that

Have you tried Power Toggles? You get the battery percentage but also super useful toggles on the notification drop down for wifi, BT, brightness, volume etc....

Battery power bar

Some time ago,ive found a great battery bar that shows up above the notification bar...that wasnt on google play....
A darn good app with curved edges that was always there and working.
ive tried to find it again but,no luck...looks like it dissapeared....
id like to find it again...
There's a way to get a battery bar (with dynamic colors) via EDXposed + Gravitybox (the phone must be rooted)
In the pics you can see the battery bar with the dynamic coloring according to the battery % you have
