The zenus case. i got it online.

I have the zenus prestige carbon as well, and my brother in law who used to do a lot of fiberglass and carbon fiber body work thought it was really carbon fiber based on look and feel. I was suprised at the quality myself!

I'm not being rude, but this forum is great for sharing products and opinions with others... and as well as telling people about great products, surely it's also helpful to tell people when something doesn't look great as well? Or should we just say "that looks amazing" to everything?
To me that looks cool! Then again, all of you would think im a kid lol. And by the way, i dont like little civics that are souped. My family won a mustang, and will always like pure muscle. Anyway lol the phone is cool.

Do these things actually protect well? I feel like the impact would be transferred to the device more so than a TPU/silicone case. Sure they look nice, but I don't feel like they are practical.

When I got it, it was installed by a friend of mine, the in between the case and phone, have a silicone cushion build on the case. The phone do budge or move at all.
I guess the silicone cushion is made for shock absorption.
The Taurus looks nice but damn if they make that sweet one in Gunmetal gray I'm getting it!

They do have the Gun Metal color!! But its Not Cheap tho, Ships from Korea, the Only Retailer.

Something like Taurus isnt a full case but a bumper.
The battery cover isnt covered by metal, so it wont heat at all.

I have a taurus one at the moment, if I drop it and it break, ill just go with a walnut one. Im using it because it fit with the 3200-3500mA battery. If I could get an otterbox for extended battery I would, but they wont make one

I've never delved in to the dark world of skins. Do they get nasty over time? Leave a sticky residue on the phone if/when you remove them? Will they "wow" the ladies?

buddy of mine has a wood skin and his phone does great with the ladies. not sure about him though, hes pretty suave but also single....at least hes got a wood skin. his is nice--not nasty (its been a week or two). he loves it. i like it too.

I actually saw this yesterday or the day before and that's where this all started. I think, in my head, the concept of a wood phone seems ridiculous, but I love the look.

It certainly is a more sustainable option vs. plastic or aluminum IF it offers the same function and performance. But in the meantime, we have cases that look like wood

1. No they dont get nasty. I have one on my galaxy tab 10.1 and it still looks good to me. If they do look nasty to you then you can probably just wipe it down with a damp paper towel or whatever and it should look as good as new.
2. No sticky residue either, it is much like peeling off a screen protector, if you do find some residue left over just a quick wipe and it would come off.
3. Depends on what kind of wood they are looking for...

i dont want the case to be bulky or to protect the whole phone, its simply to stop any dust and any scratches to the phone.

I don't know if you can find stilgut v1 anywhere to buy since they seem to have replaced v1 (real leather) with v2 (faux leather).

Edit: Great thing about stilgut cases is that they don't use magnets (which may interfere with your note / s-pen) to close the case. They use a pretty clever solution.

Of course I cannot promise anything since I have nothing to do with that company. But it's a confidential German manufactor from Berlin where many of my friends including myself bought cases for different devices and there was not one single problem so far. Very slim, great quality!
I have no stilgut case for my galaxy note, so I don't know the one I suggested you. But on the pictures it looks good.

If a pouch style is acceptable to you,I'm very happy with mine from Lucrin... a bit costly,but the leather is very high quality and I find the thin pouch very easy to slip in and out of any pocket. I also have one for my xoom. Just google Lucrin.

Tried one the same binned it straight away. Glass on glass is asking for trouble. Not practical goes no where near far enough. Avoid.

Wish I would have read this post first. I bought that Stomob case. It does look good with the translucent cover but within 6 hours of putting it on I had 3 large scratches across the screen of my brand new OP7 Pro. The hard plastic cover (it isn't glass - likely polycarbonate) grinds into your screen. I'm super bummed and will see if Stomob stands behind their product at all that they claim ensures screen protection.
I've used clamshell cases on other phones for years without ever getting a scratch - this case causes scratches - avoid at all costs.

No. They're the only option for this kind of case. That sucks. Which is why I question the idea of modding other cases in order to have a bumper-only case. RS cases are just not that great, IMO.

Agree. They're not. I used them on my 6p and if you drop the phone, it's a scuff mark. The paint job peels quite easily as well.

Ditched them and went leather. So sad.
Not really sad. Mine got pretty beat up and gunky. True leather should hold up better, but the feel of the Alcantara was nice.

I always liked the Alcantara’s non slip properties. You can place it almost anywhere on quite an angle without slipping off. I have a habit to place it on my knee while I need to do something. To date, no mishaps. Famous last words?

I take the leather, dab it with olive oil to get it soft and darker and then beat the crap out of it. In a short time you have a nice patina and good grip. The leathers always feel slippery at first but you need to wait it out until that coating comes off. Oil helps to take it away quickly and I like the look after.
ali express or bang good (one of the chinese sites) had note 9 alcantera cases cos I bought one. They are replica obvs.

What about the ones on Samsung site? I'm considering one of those.
I was unimpressed no protections at the bottom and it didn't even look or feel like leather but the inside felt like suade. The outside was slippery.
I bought the blue leather case using the 50% off on Samsung site for members. Its very nice and my fav even over 3 spigen cases I bought.
