I have 2.3.6 - Samsung Captivate Glide

I have seen some requests for a dump of the rom after the upate to 2.3.6. I installed the cwm recovery from another post and did a nandroid backup. What files are needed?

You should have a boot.img and a system.ext4.tar file in your clockwokmod backup folder. Please upload those. Thanks

Sent you a pm...

Link to 2.3.6 for those that need it: http://hotfile.com/dl/143559757/b899b95/i927_236.zip.html
Thanks to gattman for his work. I'll be posting a guide soon that will let you have root and be on 2.3.6 if it works out.

Try doing an advanced restore with CWM with just the system file and not boot.img and let us know how it goes.

In English, please xD
I'm willing to help, however, I'm very inexperienced. I've flashed what was http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=21782185#post21782185
What else?
Is it with ROM manager or something? And do I download the i927_236.zip and flash through Odin or something?

Has nothing to do with ROM manager, extract the zip and you should get two files. Contact me and I'll walk you through this.

Oui, I see the two files. What now?
What's the difference between Nandroid and Titanium Backup?

Would there be any way to host the 2.3.6 stock rom for the glide again? I need to flash back to stock and get stock recovery but can't seem to find the stock rom anywhere.
Thank you very much.

I too installed cwm on my galaxy w but it wouldn't make backups, I've been searching the forum for a while to find out how to uninstall it, do you just go in to odin and still use ancora as ops? I don't know what 'one package' to install though, any help would be greatly appreciated

First you need to flash one of the T889 Roms from here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=1881
Then flash this in Recovery http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1957380

How is that going to help to get an imei number back? Thats a link to a uvalj1 modem.
The man is trying to get his imei number back. And we all just about know from intuition that he doesnt have a backup. Id send him to the galaxy s3 thread by peoplearmy that details method that DOES work on our phone using nv reader to back up or inject an imei number into the system.
I just dont have the link and cant find it
But flashing modems isnt going to do nothin at all.
OP GO TO THE GALAXY S3 FORUMS FOR TMOBILE find and download those tools. Follow the instructions PROVIDED there and try to INJECT an imei into your phone since im pretty certain that you dont have a backup. Stop following links and flashing random files from people that know even less than you about fixing the problem.
Your taking art advice from the blind.

For me, being fairly new, was to use the CyanogenMod installer. It does all the work for you, then you can flash whatever Rom you like.

[Q] Restore stock Recovery and ROM [GT-I9190]

Hi
So my brother and I installed TWRP and CM 12 on his S4 Mini and he wants to go back to stock S4 Mini rom. I know how to restore the ROM back to stock but I can't seem to find how to restore the stock recovery to the phone? I am downloading the stock ROM now from Sammobile.
Could someone lead me in the right direction as to how and where I can get the stock recovery files?
Thanks
From the stock firmware file extract recovery.img
Then pack that file as tar.md5 and flash it as PDA / AP using odin.

I am very new to Samsung modding as my phone is a Huawei which is very different.
